The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 31

OK guys,

I need an honest opinion from anyone who is willing to give one.

First of all we have had a very productive day, the house is clean, the last load of laundry is in the dryer, we've been to the bank, done our shopping, and the packing is well under way.

So this evening we decided to stop by my inlaws,

As soon as we walked in the door my FIL says, you can sit down but I'm out of here. Then he proceeded to read my DH the riot act about not coming over or calling. He just went on and on, making me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Well I didn't want to stay, and when my MIL pushed the issue I told her that I was ready to leave, she said that he didn't really mean it, that is just the way he is. Well, I left anyway, and now I guess I will be accused of "starting" something. The only thing that I did say was that if he didn't mean it, he shouldn't say it.

So should I have sucked it up and stayed?

Debbie, IMHO, I would have left too. No one verbally abuses me or my family.

I haven't had any ornaments personalized. We had shirts done and all 11 were correct. I wonder if my pin bag will be right? Keep calling them, you'll probably have a whole set by the time they get it right.

When I called after the first screw-up I was told that I could keep the one that was sent and donate it to my favorite charity. I will call back tomorrow regarding the 2nd one. I will NOT be sending it back.

Are you supposed to send them a donation receipt? That just strikes me as funny. I suppose you COULD donate it, but you could also KEEP it and enjoy it yourself!

Tammi I hope they get this right soon! I have never ordered personalized ornaments, but the clothing I have bought has always been right. Guess you will have extra ornaments

Thanks for the support everyone, that is definitely one of the reasons why I love this place. I will work it out with him some way, but I just did not want to stay tonight. I apologized to my DH, and told him I did not want to start problems with his family. I do a very good job of minding my own business and staying out of whatever "mess" may be going on, I've learned it's easier that way.

I'll recheck my packing Saturday, but I think I have it all done except for the last minute essentials that we'll use getting ready Sunday morning. One more day of work, , but I'm afraid it will turn out to be a loonnngg one.

That is unexcusable...and something that my mother in law would do. That is exactly why we never visit.

I hvaen't had enough time to play with it. I'll get lots of time this week-end. I told Katrina about it and she is really excited to play with it as well. I have added 3 cartridges to my collection. Mickey & Friends, Micky Font, and Base Font. Katrina and I are looking for Opposites Attract and Doodle Charms as our next two. I think I've found another addiction.

I just read on the Budget Board that the Disney Store has "friends and family" coupons for 30% off this weekend. I could REALLY use one of those!

Anne Marie - Were you guys limited on the # of coupons they gave you? I was in the Disney Store today and the girls didn't mention it, which kind of irritates me since I am in there so much and I spend a fair amount of money on their merchandise!

They gave me 3 which I gave out to my family.

Nick is on He will receive a high honors award at the awards ceremony on Monday. Hunter's teacher didn't send his report card home as we haven't had his conference yet. Apparently we won't get his grades until Tuesday.

Ok, I just got my email confirm from SW & it turns out I got $112 going to MCO & $102 coming home (before taxes) not bad!

Now I have to move my ticker up since we are going down a day earlier.

I just got home--after work i wient to dinner with some coworkers...and when i came home, mom and dad wanted t o take me out for drinks--we got some bad bad news today about grandpa..>the tumors have doubled iin size and the cancer is everywhere so it has been ar ough day
