To everyone leaving soon, safe travels. I hope the weather holds out for everyone! We are supposed to have rain mixed with sleet tomorrow, but they are not calling for anything too horrible.

We have breakfast with Santa in the morning at Leighanna's school, and then they have a shop set up with low priced things for Leighanna to purchase. They really shouldn't do this this far away from Christmas. I know that Leighanna can't keep secrets, and will be telling all that she got!

Have a great evening all!

I can remember when my kids were little, we could take them to J C Penneys and they could buy presents. They had a little shop set up and all of the parents would sit outside while the kids shopped. I could give an amount they were allowed to spend and the 'Helper' would help the kids pick them out and wrap them. Hal's folks still have the thing they use to fan the fire in the fireplace. It was so cute cause they would not tell anyone what they bought.

So tonight is the sleepover and Nicholas' 'party'. We are only having 2 boys, so that is good for me! He is so excited for it.

Sounds like it has been a fun night so far!

Can I have redo of today please. Nothing major just a ton of little things that have thoroughly screwed up all my plans.
Hope tomorrow is better! :goodvibes:
I'm here!!!! :santa:
:

So glad you are there! cant wait to hear what the surpr9ise is!

We are supposed to get that bad weather in our area on Sunday. I'm not ready for it!

Us too--hope it ends up being nothiinig!

I have to brag on Leighanna. She now knows how to tie her own shoes, and she can READ! She has taken to it so fast! It seems like just last week she was just learning, and now she is reading much harder words and very long sentences. I guess no spelling things out to my wife anymore! Leighanna will be able to decipher it!

EXCELLENT!

I hope you got some sleep last night! I didn't hear any commotion here at my house. ;)

I think I'm coming down with something. Ugh. I woke up at 5 AM and I swear that something had bit my arm. No mark, no nothing :confused3 I felt nausous at that time, but managed to go back to sleep. Now I have a head cold with that whole head wants to explode thing. My stomach is making all sorts of weird noises and I feel weak. I plan to take it easy today as I really need to work tonight since my schedule has been cut back so much. Hopefully lots of rest a fluids will have me back on my feet by evening :wizard:

 I hope you are feeling better this morning, Deb!

I know we are in for crowds during Christmas, but I do get nervous with some of these reports. The boys & I will be fine, it is Gary I worry about. He is not to keen on crowds(I picked the best time to go, didn't I :rotfl: ). I know he will enjoy the resort, so the worst that can happen is he will spend a lot of time there. How is Tambu Lounge Kristine, is it a casual atmosphere or people all dressed up?

Janet - knowing that it will be crowded is your first line of defense for a WDW Christmas. Bob spends much of his time on vacation in the resort because he hates the crowds too. The girls and I pick and choose the things we want to do the most and then spend our time in the parks making sure we get to do those. You have planned well, and know the hazards of traveling this time of year. I think you will be fine! ::yes::

Sorry for venting but Eric was driving me crazy and getting upset with me so I had to get it out somewhere. :goodvibes He cannot understand my sarcasm sometimes and takes it personally. You'd think after 9 years he'd catch on:rolleyes1

Hopefully today will be better, Robyn. :goodvibes

As for Eric "getting it".... I have been with Bob for 38 years (married 34 years) and he still doesn't "get it!" :rotfl:

I'm here!!!! :santa:

The family should be here in another few minutes. It is very foggy. Was raining. I'm so excited. I have a really nice surprise planned for Sunday.:dance3:

My computer is really slow. Might be because I only have 12 minutes left on the battery.

Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend. I'll try to check in.

I can't wait to hear more about your trip and the surprise. As for your slow computer... I was not able to get on the DIS yesterday at all! Didn't matter if I tried with my laptop or my PC... the pages wouldn't load.

I think I may have forgotten to post about my Wonky morning yesterday. We were running late as we left to pick up Logan to bring Colby to school. As we were driving to the first school we went pass a car limping down the side of the road ON a flat tire. As I passed I recognized the driver as a grandmother that picks up her grandson from Kindergarten each day. It was cold and rainy so I pulled over and had her park her car and loaded her and her younger grandson into my car and took them to school. She was so stressed over the whole situation. She lives in the town that Colby goes to school in so we took Colby to school then I brought her home. Needless to say Colby was about 10 minutes late for school, but I just couldn't leave her on the side of the road. I also believe in good Karma so hopefully It will come around or maybe it already has :goodvibes

I worked tonight and we have been very slow for weeks now. I was in our smaller dining room tonight. We do our larger parties in that room, leaving the main dining room for smaller parties. I knew that we had a party of 34 scheduled for tonight and I was determined to work even though I felt less than perfect. There were 2 of us in the room and we work together and pool tips. We ended up doing 41 people and we each left with $250 in our pockets after tipping out. Needless to say it was a GREAT evening. I am so happy that I went in. You just never know.

I am not surprised that you stopped to help, Deb. Sounds just like you! :goodvibes

Great tip!! How nice!!

me either... BLECH! Bob and I were just sitting here watching the weather and talking about why we want to move further south.

How exciting! I always told my daughters that once they could read the world was theirs! Tell her congratulations. :goodvibes
