Lizzy wouldn't do her homework for my DH yesterday. He's so passive that he just complains to me instead of trying to make her do it.:confused3 He 'complained' to me that she was outside playing until dark even though he told her to do her homework. I asked him why he didn't make her come in and he just gave me a blank stare.:headache: Sometimes it tough being the only adult int he house. I was so mean to her. I let Joe & Emma watch Shrek 3 for the first time and made her do her homework. I left before she was up this morning but I'm sure she's still mad at me as I wouldn't let her watch any of the movie even after she finished her homework.

I so know that feeling...and I hate it too.

Oh, yeah, and I gotta get in a little :dance3: ! We get to go to Branson this weekend. Mom was able to get a free weekend at the condo. It's not Disney, but at least I get lights, decorations, shows and lots of Christmas!

Cassidy loved Branson last year...I think I'd like to take a trip there soon.

I'm sorry to hear of your grandmother, Glynis, but I know it was for the best. We all know that my Meme felt the same way about being with Papa again and in that our loss was a little less sad. :grouphug:

thanks, Tia.

Glynis, I'm sorry about your loss. You are such an amazing woman, and just think, many, many years from now, your children and grandchildren are going to be chatting on a "friends thread" talking about your legacy!

Oh, Amy! What a sweet thing to say. Since my kids know all about everyone here, I'm sure that you are right. I wouldn't be surprised if my kids started chatting with the other DDA kids. Now that would be a cool legacy indeed!

I decided to look at Cassidy's online before going to bed and she is only getting one C...in Spanish :confused3 ....I think she finally learned her turning in work lesson, thank goodness.

I certainly hope that Katie learns that lesson soon! I emailed her teacher this morning informing her that Katie is not allowed to go to recess unless ALL her work is finished. That should light a fire under her tushie!

Well, there's no word from Jennifer yet. I swear, I'm on pins and needles here!!! I do have to run some errands, so I'll check for updates when I get back. Have a great Tuesday, DDA!!! I love y'all!!!

Bernadette, thank you for Alyssa's princess postcard! :goodvibes

Yesterday, Alyssa and I were chatting about harrassing Captain Hook. I said I was going to call him a old codfish, and she said she was going to walk up to him and say, "Tick tock, tick tock." Suddenly Matty starts saying, "Tick tock, tick tock!" It was so cute! :cloud9:

Happy (early) Thanksgiving DDA! :flower3:
Matthew should be getting Mickey soon. I sent them all together (from the airport as has become tradition-I actually think the service is better there too). I sent one to Lizzy ('had a great trip with you...') and hers arrived on saturday. Emma's came yesterday and Joe's hasn't arrived yet.

Love the "tick tock"!!! You'll have such a great time!

Good morning everyone! I've read, but think I forgot more than I remember. I did forget to say thank you Bernadette for Terra's post card. She loved it! Paula - thank you also for mine. Terra was excited that we both got cards with Pluto on the same day!
pluto: pluto:

:woohoo: Sounds fun!!!

Can't she pass some of her wisdom onto little sis?

Bernadette, more trip report today? Hope you're feeling up to it! :)
Maybe I'll do some at lunch. It is snowing here so I don't think I'll run any errands.

I so know that feeling...and I hate it too.
Sorry for you. It is nice to have someone who understands though.

I was just reading that they announced the performers for the Epcot flower concert. Below will be there when we are..
April 24-26 The Ventures
April 27-30 B. J. Thomas

Only problem is..I don't know who they are? :confused3

OK, this makes me feel old, BJ Thomas is my all time favorite, I just don't care for his most famous one, Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head

Lizzy slept like a log. I on the other hand couldn’t sleep at all. I couldn’t stop coughing and was worried that I was keeping my friends up but they said the next morning that I didn’t. Out of desperation I finally got up around 2:00 am and took a nice long hot shower. Ralph got up to use the bathroom and I’m sure he was wondering what I was doing in the shower at 2am. The shower did help a little bit and I slept for an hour or 2 after that. I finally gave up on sleeping and got up around 5:45. I went to the food court and got myself some hot tea. I got Lizzy up and dressed and we were at the bus stop before 7:30. We had an 8:05 ADR at Crystal Palace. It was absolutely wonderful walking down a nearly empty Main St. I was “shocked” to see all the Christmas decorations up as I knew they weren’t there less than 12 hours before. I had to ask a CM if they were there the night before because I was afraid I was loosing my mind. She told me they went up overnight-pure Disney magic!

We had our photo taken by a photopass photographer who was already out.

Crystal Palace was a great as usual. I love that they have an omelet station where you can get eggs cooked to order as well. There is often a somewhat cranky guy at the omelet station but boy is he good! I also love those deep fried French toast things. I think I would pay to price of the meal for just those.

We really didn't take a lot of pictures this trip, but here are a few of Epcot Wednesday afternoon,

I was wondering where all the people were, they did show up later for Illuminations.

Amy have a safe trip & Happy Thanksgiving!

Bernadette & Debbie love your pictures!

Tia my clings arrived today, they are so cute! I promise your check is going in the mail(did I mention I was slow lol).

Jen I received your check, Thank you!

I had some errands to run & one of them was looking at luggage. My large piece from Disney Shopping had one of the wheels broken off on this last trip :headache: It happened somewhere from my airport to MCO. I did not notice till I was packing to leave Pop Century. So now I need new luggage & so far I have not found any that does not cost a arm & a leg

I did find some Disney candy canes at Target! I will take these & put them on our tree :thumbsup2

And this one was taken a little after noon,

By Friday the crowds were building for the weekend already.

Dorinda & Ralph enjoy breakfast (as do I) and like to linger over a 10th cup of tea or 7th or so trip to the buffet. I don’t like to linger. I don’t know how Ralph stays so skinny. He actually didn’t eat a whole lot during the day but I don’t know he can eat so much in one sitting. I just keep eating all day long.;) SO….it was well after 9 before we got out of CP. We went to Fantasy Land and got fast passes for Peter Pan and went to ride Pooh. By now it was nearly 10am so we went to wait for Toon Town to open. Someone waiting knew Donald’s middle name (I don’t remember what it was-I should buck up on Disney trivia for Joe’s trip). Their entire group was greeted by the characters (with a photopass photographer) and they rode barnstormer with the characters. We were let in and went to get in line for the characters. They were not even letting us in the queue as they were waiting for the “special” family and the characters to get off Barnstormer and the family had a photo session with the characters. They must have had a very special morning.

We saw Goofy, Minnie and Pluto. We asked for a photo of just Ralph and Goofy and Goofy was great! He carefully put one of Ralph’s hands on his head and then the other and then Goofy tickled Ralph. It was so funny. Fortunately the photopass photographer got a great photo of that moment!

We road Barnstormer while Dorinda took the pathway over to tomorrow land to get fast passes for Space Mnt. We road Peter Pan and saw Philjarmagic, got fast passes for Buzz and road Space Mnt. We road the TTA and then Buzz. Lizzy & I both got over 100,000 points (that is really good for us).

We headed out of the park to go to tea at the GF. On the way we saw Push the talking trash can and then saw the Mayor on Main St.

GREAT pictures! I'm looking forward to my weekday trip with Joe rather than a holiday weekend trip. We managed the crowds OK but I'm looking forward to not having to worry about fast passes too much.

Wow, I would love to be at the park with no one else around!

We took the boat over the GF. It was a beautiful day so the ride was quite nice. The smell of the Ginger Bread House hit us nearly as soon as we walked into the GF. The chef was putting the chimneys on the roof and then was putting the snow on the roof. It was fun to see the “construction”. We had a wonderful tea. I was thinking before the trip that I wouldn’t want to take the time to do it but I really needed to sit for a while and despite the cold I hadn’t lost my appetite. After tea Ralph went up to the chef with a plastic fork and asked for a sample. The chef sent his assistant out to get us all a “roof” cookie. Lizzy gave them both a thank you card and I got a photo of Lizzy with the chef. He was super nice! After tea we took the monorail back to the MK and took the bus back to Pop.

Debbie - Love the empty parks! I bet it won't look like that when we get there in 3 weeks!

Bernadette - That chef has been on the Travel Channel! Lizzy met a celebrity!:cool1:

We got 2 strange voice mails today. Both from Regents Bank. One was about 10:30 AM saying our account has been suspended due to fraud and we need to call. The second one was the same thing, 2 hours later, but with a toll free number instead of a long distance one. Both were just computer recordings, not live people. And the recording never says our name. We don't HAVE any accounts with Regents Bank. DH thinks they want us to call back and give them our SS# so they can use it for fraud. I'm not calling back. In the past when we have gotten legitimate calls about our accounts it has been a real person calling.
