Thank you & yes my boys are growing :sad1:

Did your kids have fun trick or treating?

Yep, The got lots of loot. Sophie went to one of my neighbors home & the woman gave her a witch rag doll & said you are my first trick or treater!!!! She was so excited. She was holding the doll all night. We trick or treated for almost 2 hours. I came home & gave them sandwiches for dinner while they watched "the great pumpkin Charlie Brown"...
They are all in bed now.

Beth - the pictures are great. Love the pumpkins.

So you don't use a wet ingredient too?

Using cut pieces of chicken, put in plastic bag with flour and seasonings of your choice. Salt, pepper, onion salt, garlic salt.
Have vegetable oil heated on medium high in fry pan. I have about half an inch in depth. place chicken in pan and monitor frying. I think it takes about 30 minutes or so depending on how big the piece of chicken is. I stay right there to keep monitoring the heat to make sure it is not popping a lot.

I have done it this way for over 40 years when I first learned from my mom.

I'm loving all the pics...looks like everyone had a great Halloween.

Happy Birthday Christopher!!!

Heather- Hope you and your gang are all better now.

Steffy- Hope your feeling better too.

Elin- :wizard: for Kathrin, the right job is out there for her.

I think I covered all the major stuff but 's and pixie dust all around.

I'm working on pics and hope to get some up soon.

The chicken is still kinda damp after I towel it off and that is what holds the flour on it.

My mom calls this southern fried chicken.

Whether or not this is the bona fied southern way, I am not sure, but it sure has always been the best fried chicken I have ever made.

Of course I am partial to the skin being all crispy as well

Beth, nice pictures. Poor Laura looks frozen at the pumpkin patch.

The kids look great! I love their costumes.

I didn't get any pictures of Leighanna trick-or-treating this year, but I did get some of her in her Halloween parade at school today.

The weather was nice and sunny, but the breezes sure were blowing!
