So yes folks. I'm down for the count. My face is so swollen and the pain is still in the 5-6 out of 10 range. I have to put the finishing touches on my budget that I need to present to the committee on Wednesday. So come heck or high water, I will be there on Wednesday.

My heel is doing okay, I go to see the Dr on Wednesday. My back on the other hand, is not doing so good. It wants to keep freezing up making it hard to breathe.

I am having such Disney withdrawl right now, I cannot even think. At least I have our pictures. They really turned out great. When Remi was taking me out of the meet and greet area, the photopass guy kept taking pictures. They are so cute. I am smiling in every single picture.

Terry and Stephanie - :grouphug: you poor things! :grouphug: I hope you both get to feeling better very soon.

I woke up Sunday morning with a swollen face too. Went to the dentist and got a round of antibiotics to hold me over until my second root canal on Thursday morning. All I could think of was how fortunate that it didn't flare up last week! One thing the dentist told me not to do was to apply heat to my face. She said it could draw the infection out through the cheek and cause scarring. I never knew that.

On a positive note... my 1996 Mazda passed inspection once again. I was so afraid we would be buying at least one new car this month. Keep your fingers crossed that Bob's truck passes both the safety inspection and the emission control inspection this morning.

Elizabeth, this is the tree you need. :rolleyes1

Deb - I hope you can keep the new trip a secret! How fun that would be to pull off.

Good Morning DDA!

Heidi, I like that tree. But knowing my very mischievous kitties, they would soon find out how to get in it!

At least they don't have cravings for electrical wires!:rolleyes1

Off to finish lesson plans and head to work. See you all later on today and tonight. Have great days, friends!

It is hard, I did it once. Good luck keeping the secret!

We've decided not to tell the kids. I have NEVER been able to pull off a surprise vacation so we'll see if I can keep my mouth shut. That is why my ticker is non specific, they sometimes read over my shoulder.

Deb -- loved the pictures of the party and of the costumes. You did a fantastic job, as usual!

Tammi -- cute pumpkin carving pictures! They did a great job!

Elin -- I'm glad your car passed inspection. PD for Bob's to also pass!

Steffy -- I feel your pain.... Until last week, I'd had a sinus infection for 6 weeks... but I'm finally better. I hope you get lots of rest today and feel better! Good luck with the budget!

Terry -- I hope you are feeling better as well!

Denise -- I hope that Rees has another good day at school.

Janet -- I hope you guys have a great trip to Vegas and a wonderful anniversary dinner. There are so many wonderful dining choices.

Our anniversary was yesterday, and we celebrated with a great dinner on Saturday night and a concert. Randy has always loved Willie Nelson (Randy grew up in Austin, the youngest of 5 kids but because his siblings were all much older was basically the only child at home listening to his parents' music of old country...) but I never liked Willie's music -- in fact, always had an aversion to it... But I got tickets for us (Pat Green also played and I like him!) and was glad I did. I had forgotten all the gospel music that Willie plays, and one of the songs was "I'll Fly Away," one of the two songs we sang at Mom's service.

To everyone who needs it, here's a big blanket of PD and prayers!

Stephanie take care & get plenty of rest. :wizard: that the new meds help soon!

What a day. I pulled myself out of bed, threw on some clothes and went to work to find the $88,000 my financials were off. I sat at my desk with the heating pad to my face. I was in excuriating pain. I found the error, printed my financials, printed my timesheet and came home. I called my doctor every hour to ask for help. The receptionist kept saying someone would call me back.

I got home and put on a pot of chicken soup and called the doctor again. Finally, I drove to the doctor and sat in the waiting room until someone would help me.

The doctor told me to trash the second round of antibiotics, and gave me a script for new antibiotics and steriods.  The nurse even called the pharmacy, so the drugs would be ready as I drove home.

I called my coworker, who has to finish payroll tomorrow. She said, now don't come in, I think you should rest. And I said okay. And she said, really, if I have any questions, I'll just call you. You need to rest, I'll be okay. And I said okay, I'm not arguing with you. So then she told me, you know you really looked terrible today. And I said yeah I know, the patient next to me said, you really look like he ll.

There are a couple that I am looking at, I wish we had places here at home that accepted these! The code is "TREATS" & expires Oct. 31st for anyone interested.

Did you find anything? I use them all the time.

I sure hope you are feeling better Tia!!!

Stay in bed and take your meds. It will require all your strength to get through the budget meeting tomorrow :wizard:  These new meds WILL work.

Stephanie, I really hope you will be doing okay by Wednesday. You really looked like you came out in the losing end of a nasty fight. I have never seen your face so swollen. pixiedust: that it clears up very fast. I miss my lunch partner!!!!:sad2:

Wow, there is a lot of post Disney sickies. Maybe we should have slept a bit afterall :lmao: Hopefully the dentist can get this taken care of quickly:wizard:

Deb - I hope you can keep the new trip a secret! How fun that would be to pull off.

They know about the first trip so I can talk all that I want about that one, then mums the word. I have bought the Mickey Halloween fabric and I want to make pirate vests out of it. I don't think that I have enough for all of us, but I bought all they have. I may need to do the back of the vests a solid color unless I can scronge up more. Chris also wants the Pirate Ears. I will change out the fabric that comes on the ears with the Mickey fabric. Each of us will have different colored pirate shorts and the MNSSHP costumes will be complete. I think it will be cute and comfy :thumbsup2

Belated Happy Anniversary I'm not a huge Willie Nelson fan either, but he does have some good stuff. It sounds like you had a nice time :cool1: :cool1:

Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!! Sounds like a nice evening!

Off to work! We just got in scarves, hats, & gloves at the store yesterday...I am not ready for the cold just yet! Last week I was sticking ice cubes in my bra at Epcot! (ok, TMI, I know!):lmao:

I will keep the 9th - 14th in mind for next year. My boys would love to meet some of the DDA kids! Of course I would love the chance to meet up with you all again as well :goodvibes

10/9 is Yom Kippur & my kids have off. Columbus day is 10/13 so maybe we can do 10/9-10/14? This all depends on whether was can swing it $-wise but I am sure tempted & the dates look good for not missing too much school!

Did you see my new ticker? I have booked Club Level at Universal Studios from Oct 14 - 19th 2008. We will do US during the day and MNSSHP one night as well as Downtown Disney. Chris has always wanted to stay at Universal but I have never been willing to give up WDW time. Since we will not have AP for Disney next year I will have to consider MNSSHP a bonus. We would love to catch up with DDA in the evenings for non park activities such as eating :cool1:

I've been wondering about your ticker. Is the wording choice to keep it a secret from the boys?
