With that I am going to head to bed (finally)

We HAVE to clean the house tomorrow. Tomorrow is the last full presentation of the band(I am going to try and get pics for your DS, Elizabeth as they are using the extras)

Abi has decided (I think) to be a waitress so I am going to try and piece that together tomorrow.

Good Morning DDA,

All this talk about sleepovers brings back many memories, I have quite a few under my belt. My daughters are five years apart but both of their birthdays are in January, one year I let them have a double sleepover, so I had a group of five year olds and a group of ten year olds.

We did makeovers, pizza, and various games, very little sleeping, they had a blast and their friends talked about that party for years to come. Make sure you have plenty of food, they are me out of house and home. :rotfl:

Denise,

I am so glad to hear that you finally have some answers for Rees, with all that they have found it makes it even more appalling what you have gone through to get him seen.

I will continue to keep him and all your family in my prayers :grouphug:

Welcome Home Elin,

The picture of you and your daughters is absolutely wonderful, congrats once again on your weightloss. That's something I desperately need to do, as my health has rapidly gone down the toilet the last few years, but I haven't found that "inner strength" to make it happen.

I love Kathrin's hair, it is gorgeous.

Bernadette,

Can you believe how fast our trips are coming up? Chaos at work has taken over for me also, I don't even have my suitcases out of storage yet, :scared1:

I hope that the crowds aren't too bad, I was surprised at the number of people there in September, but it seems that this year has been a record year for attendance.

I was just looking at the weather trying to decide what to pack, I guess it will be a mixture, shorts in the day with a light jacket in the evening.

Denise so happy to hear that Ree's is able to come home. :wizard: & prayers for his surgery.

Anne Marie congratulations to Daniel! :cheer2:

I love the new castle pin, Heidi it is perfect in your signature :thumbsup2

Deb I hope Colby is feeling better today :wizard:

Stephanie hope the meds help your sinuses quickly :wizard:

Theresa  I know giving your resignation had to be difficult. :wizard: on finding the perfect job for you!

Tammi you have been given good advice about the sleep over. Having 2 boys already, I always limited them to inviting 2 friends. I agree with Debbie, have plenty of food, it is amazing how much they can eat lol Good luck with the planning!

:lmao: but it was more like a week that we followed her:rotfl2:

Yes, you did! But she was only Queen for a very short period... :rotfl2: I still contend that it was more of a monarchy or dictatorship!! :lmao:

Doesn't it feel great to be caught up? I was falling behind this week with everyone getting caught up.:rotfl:

And I am partly to blame for that, Bernadette! Sorry about that...
I tried not to respond to everything because I knew that the posts were adding up ahead of me, so hopefully it wasn't too bad. :flower3:

I spent last night catching up on the shows I missed while I was away. The boys went to a movie with friends, so it was a quiet evening.

Looks like the weather in Vegas is going to be decent, maybe I can wear my shorts one more time before putting them away for the winter!

I'm watching the Backyardigans for the 8th time tonight.:scared1: :scared1:

My DD went to pick up my DGD and a friend from a Halloween party. The movie isn't over yet, so the kids don't want to come home.

I got my rx from the doctor today. My sinuses are infected. Yuk.

I have been a bad DDA. I have not gone back and read everything from when I was gone. Bad, bad, bad.:guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

I have barely been able to keep up since I returned. Being sick hasn't helped.
....
Ah off to bed. I am so tired. ANd we have to clean the house tomorrow. Gee I wish we had a maid....:goodvibes :goodvibes

Poor Stephanie. I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. Get those meds in you and GET BETTER so you can enjoy your memories!

Honestly... don't feel badly about not reading all the drivel that was posted while we were gone. :rolleyes1

And, as for a maid... I have an idea  Let's get a DDA maid and send him or her around the country like our Pal Mickey's did for a while! When one of us goes on vacation, the maid can get the house cleaned while we are gone, and house-sit in the process. Anyone have an idea where we would find an employment office that could help us with this task?

Welcome Home Elin,

The picture of you and your daughters is absolutely wonderful, congrats once again on your weightloss. That's something I desperately need to do, as my health has rapidly gone down the toilet the last few years, but I haven't found that "inner strength" to make it happen.

I love Kathrin's hair, it is gorgeous.

Thanks, Debbie. And, good morning! Health issues (which had not yet arisen) were the main reason I undertook the weight-loss program to begin with. I encourage you to find a program that works for you in any way and try it. It has already made a tremendous impact on my life.

I love Kathrin's hair too. She bit the bullet and had about a foot cut off a couple of months ago. The best part of the cut is that her curls are natural so that is truly a wash and wear style!

So Jim and I went to a small group at our church to try it out tonight. The only other couple there was absolutely wonderful:goodvibes It seems that they are very, very similar to us.

There was a reason that it was just the two couples....so we could get to know each other better.

He retired from engineering and is now a shark pooper scooper at the Denver Aquarium and she gives riding lessons at their home. They have already invited us to bring Abi over to ride a horse. :goodvibes

It was a good way to end a super horrendous week. I basically turned in my resignation today...I have informed them that I am actively pursuing other job opportunities. :sad1:

I am so glad you and Jim found a couple to spend some time with. Adult company can be so uplifting and necessary to parents, I think!

My tired brain is not remembering exactly... your job is NOT with your own church, right? So no ramifications there with the resignation. How are they ever going to get along without you? Sounds like you have had to put up with lots of abuse while working there that most people will not tolerate.

I know the perfectly right job for you is out there. I hope you have already found it and just don't know it yet!

I have a 9:15 lesson to teach this morning, for a student who needs some extra help. Then I have a 10:00 dress rehearsal for our first concert of the season tomorrow night. I am not "into" this concert at all. Might have something to do with having missed the last 2 rehearsals! ;)

Thank you. :)
I also have the bigger picture that Tammi posted as the background on my computer. It just so pretty, which I could get the print but...
Maybe I will be lucky enough to find a postcard or two in Jan.

I love the new castle pin, Heidi it is perfect in your signature :thumbsup2
