The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 30

Okay finally able to get on the computer.

So contractions started around 7pm last night. At 10 I decided to try to go to sleep to see if it was true labor or not. Well I never went to sleep. Finally at midnight I called the answering service for the Dr. 30min later I finally get a call back. Okay to head to the hospital. by this time they are 4min apart and a 5-6 on the pain scale.

We got to the hospital around 1:15 I was 4cm.

At 5am I was 5cm,

AT 8:10 When the Dr. checked I was still 5, so we decided to break my water. They broke it at around 8:30.
At 9:30 I was 6-7 completely effaced.
At 10 I was complete.

Virginia Kay was born at 10:12 weighed 7lbs 4oz 20 inches long.

I did it with no epidural or drugs. except for repair. I tore a little down their.


Olivia has been very possessive of her and not wanting any one else to hold her. My mom, Olivia and Jeff's dad finally left.

Now that I have the info posted I am going to take a nap. I have been up since 10:30 yesterday morning.. I will post Pictures later.

Look what happens when I miss one day!!! You go and have Virginia without me!!!

Congratulations on the delivery! You must be superwoman to go without drugs, etc.!!! I'm excited to keep reading and find out if there are pictures!

We had a very busy day yesterday, filled with lots of Halloween fun. No pictures downloaded yet, but I'll try to post them later this week. Tonight, we're hitting the thrift store to finally find Kevin a pair of pants and shirt for his Lumiere costume.

The kids and I just got back from "booing" the neighbors. Does anyone else do this in your neighborhood? Nobody did it last year, but I thought it would be a neat tradition to start. We'll see if it catches on.

Which reminds me, Deb, I totally forgot about the sticker chain you sent me. I tried that last year with some of my friends, and it didn't catch on at all. I'll be sure to mail Colby some stickers this week though.

Marci, I hope you feel better soon! I was asking about you this weekend. This weather is GROSS, and I am sure we will all be sick after a week or so of rain and yo-yo temps.

Amy, my bosses got "booed" this weekend and I went out today looking for the materials for them to make "Boo" bags. You would think it would be simple, but it isn't. I was tempted to go buy the Boo kit from Hallmark but I pieced together some things from Target. Since I am not sure what was in the bag they got I am not sure what is supposed to be in the ones we give. I am also going to have to Google the little poem and see if I can print it out.

I was raised to respect everyone's beliefs. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone was just allowed to worship how and where they feel the most comfortable.

Easier said than done, I'm afraid. Definitely a very sticky topic. I am reading "The End of Faith" by Sam Harris. I think it is interesting. They were discussing another similar book on the CB not long ago and I might have to go look for that one when I finish this one. We don't practice any religion because I have never found one that "fits". I am much better at pinpointing the things I don't believe than the things I do. One of these days I am going to take a "Comparative World Religions" class.

Jennifer - How are your beautiful princesses today? And how are you? I hope you are getting some rest here and there!

DH is a redhead (well, before he was bald he had red hair). DS's hair has a bit more red to it than it used to, but he is still mainly blond. DH was adopted so don't know about his siblings.

Deb - Welcome home! Sounds like you guys had a very magical trip! I can not believe you are attempting to read through everything we posted!

I went to mail a package for Momboss and pick up some things at Target this morning. It is just nasty out. I don't mind it cooling off, but I do not like to be rained on.

thank goodness everyone is coming home soon. it has taken forever to catch up. i have pictures from my nephews 1st birthday that i'll show later and pictures of build a bear. i first have to save all my pictures and that should take a while. it is cold here. its suppose to range from 50's in the morning to 70's in the day during the week. my attendant and my nephew and i might go to zoo boo this weekend at our zoo. cant wait.
