SO, SO, SO cool!!!!! I've got to figure out photoshop. The apple store has a deal-something like $99 for 1 weekly hour of instruction on anything for a year. It is about a mile from my office. I think I should just do that. I keep telling myself I should try the online tutorials first though.

I would love to take a course. So far I've picked it up through experimentation and trial/error. $99 for a year of weekly instruction that close to your office sounds too good to pass up!

How many more years of this do I have. Joe has been giving us such a hard time about doing homework. He could do it in about 3 minutes if he just did it.

That sounds like Laura! She is a lot better, but only recently. It especially drove dh nuts that an hour and a half of drama was followed by about 10 minutes of actual homework.

I also hadn't seen the update about Rees. Prayers and that he is taken care of quickly now!

So what's your lousy sleeping source? Mine has been incredibly active dreams. I wake up feeling like I lived a second life, not slept. 3 out of 5 nights this week and I am beat.

Little Richard was so cool. Although I am dead, I still had a ball. I'm happy with our decision to go to Every Person Comes Out Tried after our long day at the MK. Yes, we're nuts.

I keep asking Terry if I died yet, she keeps saying no. Every pore in my body was sweating tonight. Palms of my hands. My big toe. We are delirious now. We've been up since 3:30-4:00 this morning and just numb. But a happy numb.

We'll post pictures as soon as I can upload them to my computer. Right now, the hard bed is calling my name..

We are having a blast.

Meeting the DDA at dinner was just wonderful. Even with the downpour. After the downpour, the weather was just fine. I'm sure everybody had a ball at the party. I just need sleep. Nitey, nite!!

Abi is coming to work with me in the morning..she likes coming and I like having her...most of the time. I think we are going to try the new mexican restaurant down the street from work. With that one opening we have one on 3 of 4 of those corners.

Oooo, Heaven! I was really in trouble when they opened a Mexican restaurant just outside our complex entrance in CA. Yummy and not too expensive Mexican food less than 200 feet from my door = trouble!

Ladies (and Tom! ), your chatter is cracking me up! You're right though, nobody will read it. I remember when we all used to read every page (before someone was wise and thought of recaps! ) and the response would take HOURS, even after just a weekend away!

I have my egg retrieval at 7:30 this morning, so if you're awake I'd love some extra prayers. I'm not worried about the actual procedure so much, but the outcome... I'm a little unsure about the last few days of my protocol, so it's got me super stressed. I'll try to update when I can. I should be out of recovery and home (although maybe with a little amnesia!) by lunchtime.

Our signature rules were written a few years ago. Back then a lot of our posters used dial up connections and the VBulletin software did not have the functionality it does now.
The old rules were difficult to understand and they took a lot of moderator time to enforce. We have developed all new rules that should be much simpler and much easier to enforce automatically.

1. Your signature will be limited in length. The program will do this
automatically and anything over the allowed length will be cut off

Explanation- the biggest complaint we recieve is that signatures are too long and it takes too long to scroll through threads. We are going to start with a height of 250 pixels, you'll see what that means when we roll this out. We may add an additional option so that a signature only appears once per page.

2. You will be limited to a total of 25 images and smilies The program
will handle this automatically

Explanation- That should be PLENTY considering the amount of space

3. All content and links must meet DIS board posting guidelines.
Signature have the same content rules as any post on the boards

Explanation- Pretty obvious I hope, this includes commercial link, links to innapropriate sites, etc etc

4. You may not have a signature that is so wide it causes the page to
expand

Explanation- This is something the software can't control. Basically the only way to do this is to have a really really wide picture. If your signature means people with a normal resolution monitor need to scroll from side to side you'll be told to remove the picture causing the issue

5. We reserve the right to remove or modify signatures that cause
issues with the boards or slow page loading. Please make sure any images in
your signature are hosted on a reliable site. Any signature that contains
malicious or harmful code will be removed immediately and the poster
sanctioned

Explanation- Most of this should be pretty obvious. One thing people might not realize is that when people complain about the boards being "slow" it may not be us at all. When the boards load a page, if it can't find an image, it can make the boards appear slow.

We will roll this out in a few days, probably Wednesday. You don't need to take any action now, but you probably will want to check your signature after this goes into effect to see how it was affected.
If you have any questions on this please post on this thread on the tech support board, I will monitor those.

The Webmasters believe that these new, simplified rules will make the boards a better place for our posters and moderators.

Thanks for the explanation! My picture is all there for me, but there is a link under the picture to my design thread. I can see a little piece of that, but not much. Since I don't have time to design much at the moment anyway, I'm not going to worry about it as long as it isn't causing problems.

My neighbor's twin girls are Carlee and Trista. But that's not Tristan.

I like Trista much better! It's not a bad name just a boy's name.

I'm planning on making butternut squash soup this weekend. I have had the squash for like a week now and have had no time. Then again I had make broccoli soup and I can only eat so much soup at one time. I have been hungry for some yummy butternut squash soup like I had on the Magic.

Freeze it single serve containers, that way you don't have to eat it all at once.

Robyn- I truly wish I had some of the dresses or outfits my Mom made for me. I don't really have many pictures of me in them either.

Tom- Great pictures. I am sure you could sell tons of your creations.

John came home with a different car yesterday.
Not unusual since if there is a car with a problem that needs to be driven a bit before the problem appears, then they sent it home with him.

Well turns out its not a problem car, he decided to buy a different one. So even thought we agreed no more car payments after paying off the last one, he went and got another car. His words to me, but its only $100 a month.

So now we own a 2001 fully loaded Infinity.

Good morning, DDA!!!

So I got Terra's costume done yesterday and she looked really cute. She is just so darn proud of her costume idea. Luckily, most of the parents caught who she was right away, if not sure, they at least asked her and she would beam that they knew. I didn't get any pictures, but I will at Halloween. I do think that I need to add a few more holes though. They tended to fall in the folds so I want to put some more right in the middle where they are more noticeable. (Though don't tell Terra as she swears it is "just great" and doesn't need more.)

She did look like a walking advertisement at the mall yesterday when we went to pick up Phil. She was still wearing her Charlie Brown zig-zag stripe shirt and the new book Schultz came out yesterday where the cover is yellow with the zig-zag line on it.
