Glimmering greenhouses, does it really end on 12/30?

Those that went last year, are the lights turned off on NYE at Epcot, Jan 1-2nd? Thanks

Last year we did ride it on January 2nd and it was still decorated and lit up that night. We rode during the day first, and saw the sign and decorations still in place, so asked the cast members if there was a possibility it would be running that evening. They said it would be, so we grabbed a lightning lane for it and came back. It was gorgeous.

Try not to miss it! We did it as well as the Glimmering Greenhouse tour on Monday - it was great!

So sad that we missed it when there a couple weeks ago. Our only day to be able to ride when we were at Epcot, it was down the entire day...though not sure how that ride could be 'down' other than the boats being unable to move. We even got a push notification on the app apologizing for the closure, and letting us know they were 'working as hard as possible' to get it running again. Never came back that day....

When we were on the Glimmering Greenhouses tour last week, if I remember correctly, our tour guide said it took several days to get all the lights up. It probably takes a couple of days to get them down as well.

They’ve been on social media a couple times over boats sinking so things can get complicated in the greenhouses…

I was evacuated from LwtL on Dec 8 early afternoon, and it was down for hours after that. I was very near the end, so I think I saw everything. I didn't see any boats sink; they just stopped moving, and they couldn't get things restarted. It was down for several hours. They did scan magicbands to give a LL to those of us who were evacuated.

That was the day...we started out in Epcot to finish the Festival stuff we had started the day before, switched to MK around 6 to see the parade and HEA fireworks, then back to Epcot for EMH. We waited at Epcot as long as we could before leaving for MK, hoping it came back up...

We'd have gone on the 7th when we first went to Epcot but I really wanted to see it when it was dark out. We had MVMCP tickets the 7th, so left Epcot around 2pm to get ready for the party.

I'll just have to plan another trip at the holidays to see it. Oh darn.... :)
