I was surfing around American Airlines...tickets for my Dec. trip are pricing out at $215 + tax. I am debating on buying them now. Does anyone think these prices will go down even further?

As a seasoned December airfare watcher- this may be the best you can do (unless you want to wait for SW). How full is the plane? That was the deciding factor for us, and once I purchased our 8 tickets, the price went up the next day, so apparantly we bought enough to justify a price increase. Have you checked Ted's site? www.flyted.com Ted is United's no-frills-little brother and this will be our second time flying them...

Snow day here too!!

Julia is NOT happy and neither is mommy!!!

They both want to go outside and play - and mean mommy told them no!! When you have a cough and snotty nose - you don't get to go play in the snow - and it REALLY doesn't help if your mom is a wimp and hates snow!!!!

My brother, sister-in-law and 6 month nephew are moving to Cincinnati in 3 weeks. I hope they'll be able to handle this weather since they are not used to it. They've lived in Mexico all their lives, except for the last 3 years, since he was moved to a job in Caracas and now he's been in Singapore for the last 2 months. Still it's the same type of weather. It'll definitely be a different experience and I'm sure it'll be fun too.
It's interesting how weather can be so different from one city or one country to another. This weekend I went swimming with the kids and our temperature at this time of the year is 80-85°. I lived in Vermont for 10 months about 20 years ago, and that was the first time that I had snow days. In my city, I've only seen 1 day of snow in my 36 years of life, and it was barely a thin layer.
We'll see how it goes for them.

Oh Denise. I'm so sorry to hear that. This is the third suicide I have heard of in the last month. How devastating for the family. Many prayers and lots of PD their direction and yours.

Flight looks pretty empty. It was at $270 last week. I can't seem to get times to work for me on UAL.

I had to share. I just made a major accomplishment. Some of you will understand and some of you will laugh. I have all of MY clothes ironed. I've even ironed 5 of Chuck's shirts and want to iron 5 more before he gets home. Let me tell you, this is BIG for me!!!!! The only time that my ironing was ever totally done is when my mom came to visit and wanted to help me out. I do NOT like to iron. I told Chuck when we got married that I would not iron for him. If he wanted his shirts ironed, then he would have to iron them himself. I avoid buying clothes that need ironing for this very reason.

I'm trying very hard to make improvements in my life. This is just one of them. It irritated me that when I wanted a nice shirt, I never had one ironed. My upstairs has been organized (and stayed that way) for about 6 months. My laundry gets totally done every week-end and no longer sits in the washer, dryer or on the couch for days! That on top of the 24 pound weight loss and I think I'm becoming my old self!!!

For those of you that know about flylady.net, she was a major influence. I had read and tried to implement her inspiration "Sidetracked Home Executives" by Pam Young & Peggy Jones about 6 years ago as well. I also give credit to a wonderful book written by David Allen called "Getting Things Done". My life was too hectic. I'm a workaholic, the kids were younger & I was a very involved Girl Scout leader.

Of course, my work has suffered. I only work 45-50 hours a week now instead of 60-70! I cut back on my Girl Scout activities and my kids can now take care of themselves (which makes me happy & sad at the same time).

Mind you, I'm a very organized person at work and Girl Scouts. People have ALWAYS complimented me on how together I am in both places. It was only in my personal life that I was a mess. Thanks DDA for being one of the things that has helped me become my old self.

I'm trying to get my house in order too. It's a major accomplishment for you.
