If you could pm me the gyms - that would be awesome - I am going to call Kristi's in just a minute. I didn't realize you were at CHCA - I used to be the Assistant AD at CCD - and for a very brief time I was their cheerleading coach - they had no real squad and I got 12 girls to join and we went to a Varsity Cheer camp - they sobbed their way through it and BEGGED to go home - they refused to be "REAL" cheerleaders - it was unbelievable to me b/c I would have given my eye teeth to be a cheerleader in HS - but I am not a tumbler - for the first football season it was great - BB season was horrible and the next year was pathetic - I have never been so frustrated with something in my life -my last season on ly two girls cheered - I really give them credit for getting out there alone!!!!

I don't know her specifically, but a lot of them looked familiar! I stopped cheering in January 2001. Those pictures are always so much fun to look at!

I don’t remember if I have posted this before, but I want to share it with you all. And yes, I have a story to go with it.

So my mom was in collage w/ her friend Sandy when they found this poem in the paper one day. They liked it so much that they cut it out and kept it. Yeeeaaarrrsss later Sandy came to visit us for the weekend and she asked my mom if she still had the poem. But of course my mom the said and she went to get it. They talked about the poem and collage for sometime. Sandy went home Sunday night and back to work as a teacher Monday morning. (Sandy lived an hour from where she worked, so she and a few folks who fly to work every day. The pilot of the plane was a friend of hers.) So Monday night while watching the news I see that a small plane had crashed and all of those on board had passed. At the same time Sandy husband called my mom to let her know what happened. So my mother knew right then that in some strange way Sandy was letting her know her time was up. My mother wrote the poem in the card she gave to Sandy’s husband. And now we give this poem out to many people. I put it on a business card with the person’s name on it and either stickers or a picture, and then the cards get laminated. They are very nice to keep in your wallet. Now I have to tell you the poem was originally titled Better late than Never, but because the author did not publish their name when they sent it into the newspaper, my mother felt it would be ok to change the title to I am Eternal.If anyone wants my word doc with the poem on it ready for business cards, PM me and I will email it to you.

She does seem something of a drill sargeant, doesn't she??!! In the original picture, I just smushed it out with my hands and it only covered maybe 2/3 of the bag. I used a rolling pin to fill the bag for the final results. I'll bake them today and let people see the final results.

I don't know Vicki - I might be afraid to post anymore pictures!!!

The only characters I know we will see that I couldn't find coloring pages for were Chip & Dale. Anyone seen any of them? I do have one from a coloring book I have at home I could scan but I'm not sure if the reverse image will bleed through.

I couldn't find one so I deleted the color from a clip art I found

We had a family add to that for the funeral bulletin of their mother

Marje got her wish and her ashes are now covering at least the 10th hole sand trap by her home....they may have gotten the permission to put it in the 12th hole cup(that's where she got her hole in one!)

A little funny for the day.
DH walked into the kitchen to find Bethie had opened the freezer and gotten the Little Dibs ice cream out. She was sitting on the floor going to town. He couldn’t get them away from her, so he just let it go. Not a big deal because she could use the calories, but it’s not on the BRAT diet she has been on for the last few days.

Ellie doesn’t have pre-school today because the teachers are on a retreat so I am off to take the girls to find green donuts this morning. I don’t think donuts are on the BRAT diet either.
Bethie seems ok, but still having a few bad diapers so I don’t think the bug has left yet.

Good luck at the doctor Denise. I hope he can give you a prescription for something that will clear up that pink eye ASAP!

Just thought of this -

my BIL is an eye doctor and swears pink eye can not be cured by antibiotics - pain might be relieved but it is a virus and has to run its course

I am sure his wife and the mother of his children will chime in on this - b/c she tells him he has no idea what he is talking about - that it clears it up everytime - he says the pediatricians just prescribe the medicine to make moms feel better and all it does is provide relief

10 days with pink eye Denise? I think I would have gone nuts!! Hope the doc can make it better FAST!!!

I knew Cassidy was feeling better today because I had to wake her up to get her to school!! The joys of being a teenager!! She still has a strange cough but she has her voice back....we heard it all through dinner...I think she was making up for lost time.
