On our last trip he told me that when we were on the monorail he saw the wedding pavilion and he thinks we should just plan on having her wedding there!! Julia and I both love parties though - I had 350 people at my wedding so it would be hard for me to limit the guest list!!! Although - that girl really went WAY over the top - I imagine it could be done pretty easily in the price range we would have in mind!!! Only small problem is that we are catholic and she has to get married in the church - my mother would never forgive us - so they would also have to have a small ceremony in the church as well - this would be pretty easy to pull off though!!!

She still swears she is never getting married but did tell him last night she wants a chocolate cake with the castle on top!!!

We brought home a dozen chick fil a sandwiches and 2 large cole slaws

Now $75 makes sense! I was trying to figure out how in the world 3 people spent $75 on two meals. You guys were really convincing me I needed to try it when I could fine one, but after hearing the $75 I wondered whether I could afford it!

We actually had lunch there on Sat and breakfast there on Mon, it was like a buffet with all the new things to try.

And they would have eaten it on Sunday too, but it's corporate policy to be closed on Sundays! It was so depressing to be in the mall food court with a dark Chick-fil-a!

Happy Special Birthday, Marti! If I were you, I'd celebrate only this birthday, since it makes you 3 weeks "younger" than your official, biological date. Although what do I know... I've been celebrating my 28th birthday for way too many years now. Since everyone else posted how old they were in 1972, however, I'll bite. I was 1 day old on Jan. 1, 1972!

Clare, I'm DISing at work again and thought you'd appreciate that fact. What do I do here? Well, I've been with a medical publishing company for 5 years, took a break for 1 year, and have been back now for an additional year and 3 months. I've held several positions here: desktop publisher, newsletter editor/layout, web editor, typesetter, and medical editor. Now I am a project manager or project coordinator, depending on which of my bosses you talk to. (I actually prefer calling myself a coordinator because someone outside my company laughed at the job title, saying it's a way to give more responsibility without having to increase the pay scale!) Anyway, what I actually do is arrange for our tech crew to videotape medical conferences and then create the printed material (syllabus, continuing medical education quiz, order forms, etc) that goes with the final product.

I've been really fortunate that they allow me to work from home part of the day during the school year so I can be home when my DD (in Kindergarten now) gets off the school bus. Of course, with that freedom comes the overwhelming temptation to DIS!

We'll just have to ask Kate to make a plain bag for us so that we can put on a custom design on the bag. We might just need a bag for each day so that it can match the rest of our families t-shirts!

I was going to say - I could make the bags plain and you could customize the front - I never thought about that!! LOL!!! my other bag will be a backpack if you want something that does not cover the front!!! I am eventually going to put them on ebay and I hope that if I do well selling them that I can buy a disney embroidery sewing machine - then I could put characters on the front

We definately need to!!!! It has been so crazy around here it took us 3 months to find a date we could have game night and then you were in Delaware!!!

I have to take Julia to the doctor today - she has some isssues we need to discuss with the doctor and I will have to wait and see how that all turns out before we can commit to anything!!!

No margaritas for me, but if you give me a chance to shower, I could meet you somewhere around 12:30. Of course, we'd need to pick a child-friendly location, and you'd have to tolerate a disjointed conversation, since Alyssa interrupts every two minutes or so!

Eh, disjointed conversation with an adorable toddler is better than any conversation I'm having right about now! I'm actually supposed to be at class, which I would have welcomed for once! I haven't showered yet, either and am here in sweats. It's been a long morning So now I'm waiting to get back in there and retrieve my things so I can get out of here since I didn't make it back after the break.

Wow - I never knew anyone who made maple syrup before - cool.

Which made me think actually, a lot of people talk about going to work or DISing while at work, but I don't think I have any idea what most of you do! Anyone want to share?

I've always been curious, too, Clare. I work as a recruiting manager for a law firm - my primary responsibility is recruiting law students between their 2nd and 3rd years of school to spend at least 6 weeks with us for a summer internship, and then they are offered permanent jobs from there.

It can be hectic and challenging - DISing helps me keep my sanity!

I watched that on Saturday. That is what made me crave the Penne Alla Vodka. That one girls wedding was over the top (70,000). And they looked like the were only 22 or so. Mom and Dad must be soaking rich. I bet the don't go all out like that for her second wedding.

I saw this, too - and thought the same thing! Though it looks like she threw everything in there - I'm sure it's doable on a smaller budget.

In hindsight, my parents are so lucky that I wanted to get married in my hometown!
