Did you miss me? :rotfl: I had a wonderful, fantastic, awesome trip. The weather was in the 70's and sunny all week. A little windy but I'll take that over the 6" of snow that have already fallen this morning. We visited all 4 theme parks several times each, played at both water parks, enjoyed shopping at Downtown Disney, relaxed at our resort and caught a performance of LaNouba.

I met Lindsay (Tinkaroo) & Jonathon at the La Nouba performance. It was wonderful - she is a very nice person. My daughter wants me to tell Lindsay that she & her husband are gorgeous - Lindsay I've now told you. Lindsay & I got our picture taken together and I'll post that when I get it from my DD20. She has all our pictures downloaded on her laptop and because of flight delays had to leave immediately upon our return home last night for college with no time to burn a CD before she left - she didn't make it to the dorm until 1:30am.

No time to catch up now (899 posts in 60 pages). I have to catch up for work first. I'll be on later to see how my DDA friends are doing. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone. Take care. Vicki

Welcome back! How'd you like POR? I haven't been since 96 and that was only for 2 nights. I'm looking forward to my POFQ trip. I'm sure we'll visit POR.

Oh Kristine sorry to hear this! Hope everything works out ok :wizard:

I can't believe it...I had a car accident with my neighbor this morning!!!!!!!!!!! I looked into my rear view mirror, it was clear...put my car in reverse and all of a sudden SMASH!! She pulled into my driveway the split second I went pulling out...I think by law it is considered my fault. My car probably has about $1000 damage..her car is in bad shape. I drive a Durango, she drives little car so I creamed her. I am totally depressed!

Thanks everybody on all the compliments to my earlier posted design. I'll be happy to do a copy for anybody. Just PM me.

Monica -- your names look great!

Now, here is our other tee design. I'm thinking that the previous one is actually going to be a front of a shirt not the back. I just like it too much. That also means, the designing is complete for our trip. Yeah!!!

Now, I must crop picures for autograph books. Only 9 days left. But I've got to go to bed -- I do have to work tomorrow.

First off- Vicki- get off the computer and go pack!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

If I may bloviate for a minute (sorry was watching Bill O'Reilly last night and I love that word!!!!!!!), here is my list of where to eat:

Day 1= food court lunch at POR, Pinnochio Village Haus for dinner, Ghiradelli's for ice cream :p

Day 2= Crystal Palace Breakfast, Garden Grill or Biergarten dinner (never been to Garden Grill before....)

Day 3 = New MGM character breakfast (if it ever surfaces ;) ) and Le Cellier for my Birthday dinner (just Mommy and Daddy :woohoo: )

Day 4 = food court breakfast, 1900 Park Fare Princess dinner (for my niece princess: )

Day 5 = Norway princess breakfast, Teppanyaki for dinner

Day 6 = Chef Mickey Breakfast, LTT for dinner and MVMCP

Day 7= food court breakfast, Hoop Dee Doo dinner

Day 8 = food court before we go to the airport.

Any suggestions? We have never been to Garden Grill, LTT, 1900 PF dinner, Norway breakfast or Hoop Dee Doo...

Thanks!!
Kristin

First off, thanks for motivating me to get off and pack. We were only an hour later than I hoped in getting out of here. We still had plenty of time because I set our departure time early enough that if we were running behind I wouldn't be stressed.

Second, we love the Norway breakfast. We went again this year. The CM's are always wonderful. Five princesses were there. Belle was there in her yellow dress in the entry way for picture taking. The other four came around. We enjoy the food as well. I love their potatoes.

I can't comment on the others that you haven't been to because neither have we. I'd like to try Hoop Dee Doo myself next year. I'm also thinking about Whispering Canyon.

Listen to me. I've only been back a day and I'm already planning my meals for the next trip!

Yes, Vicki, we did miss you!! I'm glad you had a great time, and that the weather cooperated. It sounds like you accomplished quite a bit. I can't wait for pictures and the trip report!

:guilty: Sorry to defy you Amy, but I had to welcome Vicki back.

POR is fantastic. We really like the peace & quiet of the resort. After time in the parks, it is nice to wind down there. The reason that some really dislike it is why we really love it - it is spread out and you need to take a nice walk to most places. Our door is to the outside (so no hallways of noise & people). We always take at least one walk to POFQ and really like the look of that area as well. The boat ride to Downtown Disney is fabulous.

Loving POR is the only drawback I see to becoming DVC members since it isn't a DVC resort we would have to find another resort that we love as much. We were hoping to check a couple out this trip but it didn't happen. Old Key West looks like our best bet for something similar. Though, Lindsay told me they really like Saratoga Springs for the same reason that I love POR so we'll have to check them both out.

Glad to see you made it back safely! Sounds like you had a great time! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Welcome home!

You guys crack me up!

I just popped in to say hi - just finished my first assignment and emailed it to my tutor, if there's any spare pixue dust around can you sprinkle some on my assignment, it's been a long time since I studied and that was hard work!

Thought I'd say Hooray for Rees, and all you blood donors out there :cheer2:

Glad there's someone else around to help with the DDA quizes :teeth:

And whoever mentioned glow in the dark transfer paper - I'd love to hear how that turned out -I saw some on ebay last year and was tempted... that'd be sooo cool on the haunted mansion if it glows the way white stuff does in there - and on Buzz for that matter...

On that note I'll stop rambling.. I'm off to watch Smallville :goodvibes

BTW I'm still reading message from Friday! I have a day off on Wed so I'm planning to catch up while watching the High School Musical

It's good to see you again, Clare. I'll send you tons of PD for your assignment, if you'll do the same thing. I'm in the same boat, out of school for years and years, and now trying to start up again. It's tough!

Helloooo DDA!

We are back from another magical trip at the World, and I am unfortunately already suffering those post-Disney blues. I cried like a baby at the end of Wishes on our last night  , and then wanted to commit bodily harm to all those checking into the Poly yesterday with their welcome leis around their necks! :rolleyes1

And someone actually thinks I'm going to be able to wait until late 2007 to return?!?!?! :faint:

I guess the one good thing about being home is that I have something like a 100 pages of DDA chit chat to catch up on! :p However, as it might take me FOREVER with all the laundry, piled up crises at work, etc. - if anyone wants to give me a CliffNotes version, that would be great!

Hope all are well! :goodvibes

Princess Nancy - was it you who said your DH was telling your DS to get his head in the game? I had no idea what you were talking about... but I'm now listening to the High School Musical soundtrack for the first time and suddenly it makes more sense!

I was really confused when I first heard the track, thinking where have I heard that before, then remembered the post on this board :rotfl:

I have managed to get hold of the movie but won't get a chance to watch it until after March 14 (I have an assignment due then and will have to work my socks off to finish in time!)

Since I just read that you got your assignment turned in, does that mean you'll be watching High School Musical tonight? :rotfl:

Hi Lindsay!!! Welcome home! I can't wait to hear and see all about your trip. Only 2 really major things going on here.

1. Amy had her sonogram. Check out her new siggie to find out more info. ;)

2. You don't have to wait until late '07 to go back to the World. Kate, Marti and I are going in May!! There are a few others still trying to negotiate that would like to come too. We decided that the DDA needed a road trip! This goes for you too, Vicki.

OMG. That is horrible. I'm glad everyone is ok. Hopefully insurance will cover it and the price won't go up.

Well, did I have a day yesterday! My daughter and granddaughter were supposed to leave on Friday at noon to go to Norfolk to see my son and grandson. There was an oil leak in my granddaughter's car, so they had to wait until yesterday after it was looked at to leave. My daughter stayed overnight at my house (my granddaughter lives with me) so they could get an early start. Sarah (granddaughter) tried to wake her mother at 6:00, but couldn't really wake her - just mumbling. She decided that her mother was tired and that she would let her sleep a little longer. I got up around 7:15 and went into the living room where Melanie (daughter) spent the night on the couch. She opened her eyes and pointed to an envelope of oatmeal which she had left on the coffee table and said "mmmmmaaaaaaaakkkkke thaaaaattttttt." Her words were so slow and jumbled. I asked her if she was "shocky" (diabetic). She said "yeeessssss." I gave her a small Snickers bar and told her to eat that while I fixed the oatmeal. The weird speech continued and then she said she couldn't move right. I was so scared she was having a stroke or brain damage from the low blood sugar that I called 911. Her blood sugar level was 64. They gave her some liquid glucose and she recovered completely in just a few minutes. It was very scary. I've seen her in insulin shock many times over the years, but the speech thing was a whole new development. This was the third episode of very low blood sugar in the last month. The doctor lowered her insulin dosage after the last time, but I think it needs to be lowered again. I went out to the drugstore as soon as it opened and got some of that liquid glucose to have on hand!!!Anyway, they decided to go ahead and make the trip. About 2 hours after they left, I got a call from them. Sarah's car had "died." I had given Sarah an AAA membership, as it only cost $20 more along with mine, so I told them to call AAA and call me back. As it turned out, they were on the New York Thruway, and AAA towers are not allowed on there, so they had to have two tows. To try to shorten the story, it was the alternator, it can't be fixed until Monday, and I had to travel 65 miles last night to pick them up. They aren't going to Virginia, and my grandson is very upset. He just went to live there in November, is only 20, and has been looking forward to seeing his mother and sister. Sarah was very upset, too. I told her that there was a reason why all this happened. They just weren't meant to be on that trip at that time. We may never know the reason, but the Lord works in mysterious ways. Today we're all going to look at Matthew McConaghey in "Failure to Launch." Looking at and listening to MMcC always makes me smile (hey, I may be 61, but I'm not dead - I can look and enjoy!!). Have a great day DDA!
:grouphug: How scary! I'm glad she's OK.

Does anyone have any Universal designs? Or is anyone willing to do some? I don't know who is still designing/not designing so I didn't want to PM someone specifically. I don't need these right away.

Welcome home Vicki and Lindsay!

Lindsay-Welcome back! I see you were at SSR & Poly. Poly was my favorite but now that my youngest is 3 we are a party of 6 so I can't see myself doing 2 rooms at Poly. DH has suggested we look at DVC. Tell me a Poly lover would like SSR.

Vicki-thanks for the report on POR. Cannot to see it again for myself. My last trip was before I discovered Dis and I arrived after midnight due to weather delay and my travel partner backed out at the last minute...so it wasn't the best trip. So I can't wait to rediscover the area.

Glynis & Clare-it gets easier. I was out of school for over 10 years before I went to grad school. Those first couple of semesters were tough but you do get back into the swing. I thought I would have so much time when I got through but then I got pregnant. :teeth: It was nice to be done and not have the constant school worry on my mind though.
