Wow... must be a good TV night! Almost no posts!! ;)

I promise that I read everything but these two things are what stuck out most in my mind as I skimmed along...

Elizabeth - hope DH and DS feel better and you stay healthy.

Theresa - That is a very sad story and I agree with Terry that I hope the protesters don't find the change in venue for the funeral.

Also... LINDSAY... are you OK???

I promise I've read but since I am doing it undercover(can't get caught at work again:lmao: ) I am just going to send out a bucketload of pixie dust and congrats to everyone.

Please be thinking about Littleton on Thursday morning. We had a young man who survived the Columbine shooting who went on to serve in the military. He was killed last week in Afghanistan. His funeral will be held here at my work church on Thursday morning. The stupid people who picket military funerals have heard about it and are planning to be at the funeral. Hopefully because of a venue change (family didn't realize how much military presence there would be) they will be picketing the wrong spot. But this will be a huge funeral either way.

:wizard: :wizard: I would think that the police could and should provide the family with a venue that keeps the protesters out of the way. It is not right for anyone to use a family's suffering for personal gain.

Very Cute

Anne Marie I'm glad you enjoyed your first day. I'm sure you'll keep us all aprised of any new merchandise :goodvibes

Wow pretty much sucked tonight, but at least it is over and I'm home now :cool1: Someone here plugged my new lights in so I had a big smile when our house came into view. Chris said that it wasn't him so it must have been one of the boys

It seems that all of Chris and My conversations end up focusing on our upcoming trip. I think that we are making progress on the clothing front. As I went to pack today I realized that we hadn't really discussed what we planned to wear so we are working on that now.

We had a ball at MNSSHP. The weather was PERFECT! A nice breeze blowing, and NO HUMIDITY! What a wonderful night!

Here are a couple of pictures from tonight.

thankfully the Freedom Riders (I think that's their name) have already said they will be in the area to make sure there is a shield of protection around the family.

Just checking in....

It has been tough here lately....I kept trying to get a hold of Bill's mother, after a day we went over there and found her laying on the bedroom floor. She was in the hospital for a week....she is too far gone cognitively, so we had to put her in a nursing home. We did this on Saturday. I am having terrible guilt feelings. Just going to place gives me a panic attack. We need to clean out her place in the next 3 days:scared1::scared1::scared1: whereas all her money will now go to the nursing home. It's a heartbreaking situation.

I haven't made a single t shirt for the trip....but I am looking forward to going.

As I told Deb via PM...her Mickey/Minnie lights are FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So good to see you, Kristine. I have been thinking about you lately. I am so sorry about your MIL. I hope that the nursing home turns out better than you are feeling now. Our prayers continue for you all. :grouphug:

I think I've seen the William Tell Overture mom in person....or something really close to it. Still very cute.

Those picketers sure do get around. They've been at several funerals here. Alan was sent to cover a military funeral several months ago, and the picketers were there. They were literally just lounging around, until they saw his camera, and then they picked up their signs, and started to put on a "show." Alan just looked at them, and put his camera away. They demanded to know why he wasn't filming them, and Alan told them that they were hypocrites, not really picketing a belief, just trying to get their 15 minutes of fame. Interestingly, these are the same picketers that seem to show up at PETA events, too! They just want to see their faces on the news, and Alan's station refuses to give them a venue. If all media outlets would do the same thing, I honestly think they'd give up!

Good night, everyone! I'm heading off to bed! See you all in the morning!

okay been pretty busy tonight. So glad you guys kept it down. I leave in aprox 40 minutes. I will chat with you all in the morning.

tia is that a new ticker? when did that get on there and what are your dates?

That is my wishful thinking ticker. In all honesty, I don't really remember what dates I put in. I'm thinking about May 10-18 (my birthday week). Terra really wants to go for her birthday in February, but I don't think we'll be able to save quickly enough for that. As it is, we may have to push back until September-ish. Depends on whether everyone will go along with our Christmas/birthday wish lists.

It's funny that you should ask, though, Karen. While the ticker was there, I haven't really thought about the trip much lately. For some reason, a few days ago I started feeling really hopeful and excited about the trip. I think that we may actually be able to make it work for those dates! If not, then almost certainly in early fall. Anyway you slice it - Terra's birthday, my birthday, Flower and Garden, Food and Wine - it all sounds wonderful. I'm all excited about logging back into TGM for the first time in a couple of months and doing some big planning.

The best news is that Phil asked Terra again tonight if he could go with us on our next trip to Disney World. :dance3: When I asked him later if he was wanting to go for part of the week or all of it, he said that he definitely wanted to go for as long as we were going! I think that he had a lot of fun with us at Goofy's Kitchen last week and is seeing what he is missing in the way of Terra's excitement. Plus, having been gone so much recently he's rethinking family time more, I think. Whatever it is, though, I'll take it!!! I've been trying to get him to go to WDW with me for almost 7 years. And that all makes me even more excited about the planning because there are some things that I really want Phil to experience with us!

Well, bedtime is calling here as well. I was up later than intended waiting for Phil to call back. We are finally set with a return date! He will finally be home next Monday night. He'll get in late and have to work the next morning, but at least he'll be home!! Terra was so excited to know there was now a specific date and time that they would be able to play. I'm mostly happy for him as he is SOO happy to have a return date. This has all worn on him so much and the uncertainty of when it would end was getting to be too much. Thank you all for your continued prayers for them all.

And now, I've got to get to bed as Mom and Dad are in Branson for the week so I've got to get Rachel off to school in the morning. Good night!

Ooo, I just remembered something. If Phil is going we may just have to move our dates to a May time that includes Star Wars weekend. Now that is something that would interest him!

I know most of you are college football/NFL fans but in our house the Rockies rule....well they are in the 13th inning of a playoff game against the Padres. I am on pins and needles!!

Took almost 5 hours and 13 innings but the Rockies beat the Padres!!!

For the first time in a decade they are going to the Playoffs!!!

I think I've seen the William Tell Overture mom in person....or something really close to it. Still very cute.

I believe the mother who told me about her said her name was Anita Renfroe, if that jogs your memory at all!

Tia - :wizard: that Phil goes with you and Terra on your next trip!!!
