That is my wishful thinking ticker. In all honesty, I don't really remember what dates I put in. I'm thinking about May 10-18 (my birthday week). Terra really wants to go for her birthday in February, but I don't think we'll be able to save quickly enough for that. As it is, we may have to push back until September-ish. Depends on whether everyone will go along with our Christmas/birthday wish lists.

It's funny that you should ask, though, Karen. While the ticker was there, I haven't really thought about the trip much lately. For some reason, a few days ago I started feeling really hopeful and excited about the trip. I think that we may actually be able to make it work for those dates! If not, then almost certainly in early fall. Anyway you slice it - Terra's birthday, my birthday, Flower and Garden, Food and Wine - it all sounds wonderful. I'm all excited about logging back into TGM for the first time in a couple of months and doing some big planning.

The best news is that Phil asked Terra again tonight if he could go with us on our next trip to Disney World. :dance3: When I asked him later if he was wanting to go for part of the week or all of it, he said that he definitely wanted to go for as long as we were going! I think that he had a lot of fun with us at Goofy's Kitchen last week and is seeing what he is missing in the way of Terra's excitement. Plus, having been gone so much recently he's rethinking family time more, I think. Whatever it is, though, I'll take it!!! I've been trying to get him to go to WDW with me for almost 7 years. And that all makes me even more excited about the planning because there are some things that I really want Phil to experience with us!

I am so glad Phil is rethinking traveling with you and Terra, Tia! Bob is not a major WDW fan but loves the vacation of spending time in a gorgeous resort (no matter what level we book) and good food and fun times with his family. I can only hope that Phil is seeing the benefits in that now too. :goodvibes

Morning guys--

Good morning :)

I'm so excited to see my ticker

:woohoo:  That is great news!!!!! I was going to ask you if Goofy's meal influenced Phil. :woohoo:

Our crazy usually lazy cat is running around the house like a kitten this morning :confused3 I think someone needs to remind him that he is 14 years old. :lmao: Colby says that he was in his room last night yawling at him. I don't know what's gotten into him.

Not too much on the agenda today. I have to open today so that cuts my afternoon short though I'll get home earlier tonight. Maybe I'll pay bills this morning. It doesn't look like too many people are around here :upsidedow

Tia, that is wonderful news!!! I'm so glad that Phil went with you to Goofy's Kitchen! I'm sure that he saw that he can handle all the people, etc., and being able to see Terra like that just ups the anty! I will keep my fingers crossed that this trip works out for you, and that you, and Terra and Phil, are able to have the best trip ever!!!

Wish me luck, everyone! It's book fair today at the kids school. I've been asked to work the cash register this morning, so I'm hoping to get some good Christmas gifts out of the way. Just hope I can keep the amount to a reasonable level!

See ya later!

Good morning, DDA!

Don't send out a search party - I'm here! ;) I know I sound like a broken record, but things are again at a feverish level - if I can just get through this week at work, though, I'll be able to breathe a little easier. (I'm putting on a large interview program that lasts all day Thursday, so I'm snatching moments here and there to try to get caught up on all I've missed!)

Jennifer and Marci - yes, I was at the game Saturday. Boy, what misery, both on and off the field. :sad2: Even though OU was knocked off their pedestal too last Saturday, I'm afraid they're just going to slaughter us this weekend (for which I'll get to be a witness to, too  ). Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I doubt it - we're just not very good this year - no identity or real leaders on the field - and don't get me started on the coaches! And oh my gosh - the rain we endured! I was wearing the same UT tee I wore to the MNSSHP, and I've decided I'm never wearing that shirt again if I have an outdoor activity planned!!!!

I see our idea of a Texas DDA Meet was revived again - I have no problem taking the lead on planning it, if we can get a good idea of how many people/when. For me, it would likely have to be in early/mid-June, before my summer intern program starts, but after our Kauai trip. Maybe the weekend of June 14th? Now, talk amongst yourselves...;)

A bushel-load of PD, congratulations, get well wishes, happy birthdays, and happy anniversaries all around - I read every word over the last couple of days, but it's all flown out of my head at the moment!

Have good days, DDA!!!!! Back to work!

Good morning, DDA!

I came home yesterday to a dead phone, a dead DSL line, and a near-dead DH.:sad2: He has a NASTY virus and spent the entire day in bed. He still feels bad this morning.

The STUPID phone company says they will fix my phone line by TOMORROW NIGHT. Idiots!

Swimming lessons today.:scared:

I promise I've read but since I am doing it undercover(can't get caught at work again:lmao: ) I am just going to send out a bucketload of pixie dust and congrats to everyone.

Please be thinking about Littleton on Thursday morning. We had a young man who survived the Columbine shooting who went on to serve in the military. He was killed last week in Afghanistan. His funeral will be held here at my work church on Thursday morning. The stupid people who picket military funerals have heard about it and are planning to be at the funeral. Hopefully because of a venue change (family didn't realize how much military presence there would be) they will be picketing the wrong spot. But this will be a huge funeral either way.

That is just reprehensible. I am strongly opposed to the war by why on earth would anyone picket a funeral? Shouldn't they be picketing somewhere else? Like the White House? Most of those kids enlisted without realizing what they were getting into, then they just went where they were told to go and did what they were told to do. None of this is their fault, so why picket their funerals?:confused3 Sad.:sad2:

DH went to local appliance store and they too said that Maytag Epic, Whirlpool Duet and one of the Kenmores were actually the same machine. This store was a Maytag only place but they will soon sell Whirlpool appliances as they are the same company now. We would have to wait at least 1 week for the Whirlpool. So I called them this afternoon and ordered the Maytag Epic. They will deliver sometime on Wednesday.

The LG at Sears was $500 more.:scared1: And it looked very complicated. The control panel was very intimidating. As much as I would like the steam feature I couldn't justify the price and didn't want to risk getting a machine that would be more difficult to service.

Hope we have better luck with this Maytag.

A complicated washer is not your friend. I hope you like the new one!!

Elizabeth-DH made it to the PO today.:thumbsup2

Cool! I'll watch for the DVD!:thumbsup2

Ooo, I just remembered something. If Phil is going we may just have to move our dates to a May time that includes Star Wars weekend. Now that is something that would interest him!

I'm glad Phil is showing an interest!! Star Wars weekends are the extreme end of May through June. We tried to go this year but airfare didn't cooperate.

Morning, DDA!

I so miss the days when I could keep up!! Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!

Hi, Kelli!

Robyn - I must have been thinking about Bernadette's Emma. She doesn't like to use strange potties.;) I hope Molly is making some progress!:)

I hope everyone is having a good day so far! I e-mailed the eBay seller who sent me the wrong pins, so we'll see if he wants them back. I told him I don't care one way or the other. 3 of them are completely the wrong thing, one is Mickey instead of Minnie, and there is an extra one. If he has my 3 correct ones I will send back the 3 wrong ones and the extra. Or I could PayPal him a little payment for the extra one. Whatever. I guess it depends on the people who won the auctions for these pins and how strongly they feel about having the exact pins they paid for!:rotfl:

Laundry is done, bills are paid and kids are fed. I guess that I'm actually being productive.

Glynis have fun at the book fair!

Elizabeth hope your phone is fixed quickly.

Lindsay sorry you are still so busy with work. 2 more weeks & you can relax for a few days :thumbsup2

Hi Kelli

Good afternoon, DDA! I hope this day finds you all well. Nothing too exciting here. Just working on some general cleanup, finishing the unpacking, laundry, etc. Plus, I think we're headed to lunch with Kristi, Connor and Chase pretty soon.

Glynis - Hope the book fair was fun and not too costly. :teeth:
