Honey I'm Home! :rotfl: Sorry, just felt like saying that :confused3

Chanon :woohoo: on getting the ME tags :dance3:

Deb I do not have a tye dye shirt either.

I brought more tomatoes home today & I am the only one that eats them. I made stewed tomatoes with the last batch & was thinking of making salsa with these. Anyone have a easy recipe that doesn't use alot of different spices & seasonings? I hate to buy something that I will not have another use for only to use a tsp. I have tomatoes, onions, green peppers, 1 jalepeno(sp), & if I am lucky maybe some garlic powder. I am so not Betty Crocker

Elizabeth glad you got the ressies squared away & :cool1: on getting AKL! After this Dec. trip, if I can ever get Gary to go back again this is where I will book our stay. I just love that resort.

Ohhh, whats on the menu?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Alan hijacked my computer all weekend. This is the first chance I've had to catch up.

We were discussing the book "Julie and Julia" about a woman who spent one year cooking all 524 recipes in the book Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child. It was an interesting read!

Our hostess made 3 of the recipes mentioned in the book: a potato/leek soup (yummy), and orange bavarian (Yummy) and Roquefort tarts (YUMMY, YUMMY, YUMMY!!!!). It was a good "meal", and I enjoyed it immensely!!

Afternoon all..

Sorry to have posted and ran last night. I got caught up but then the girls demanded my attention. How dare they!:confused3 We have been nonstop since Friday night and it's gearing up for another busy week and weekend.

We had soccer and grocery shopping Friday night. Then my cousins Mike, Jim and Jim's son, John drove down Saturday from MA/CT for the O's/Red Sox game that night. My mom got 4 free tickets from a company she deals with. The seats were 8 rows from home plate. It was John's first game ever so he was pretty excited that the seats were so great. It's too bad the O's stomped the Sox. Seemed like it was an impossible thing as the O's have to be the worse team in baseball. We had lunch here along with my parents and sister before they left for the Harbor and dinner there. My mom and another friend came over Saturday night and played cards til the guys, Eric was the 4th one to go,got home about 11:30. Went to bed around 12:30am after chatting with the guys. I was up yesterday morning at 5:30am to get showered and all 3 girls ready for breakfast at 8am. We met back up with my parents and sister. Said good bye to the 3 and they got on the road around 9:45am. We went shopping at Target, Emma's soccer game at 11am and they to my girlfriend's house for her DD's birthday party. We got home around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. Mo took a 2 hr nap, unheard of for her!! Emma and I watched a movie while Eric was in the basement for about 6 hrs doing homework.

This week is soccer Tuesday and Friday nights. Back to school night Tuesday as well. Thursday is my sister's surgery on her knee. I will be taking her and my mom is coming over here to watch the kids, all 7 of them as schools are closed. Molly also starts gymnastics on Friday night. And Saturday we are headed to Dutch Wonderland for the day.

Terry and Steffy- any chance you are free Saturday late afternoon early evening? Thought maybe we could meet up for dinner or something if you are.

I meant to ask you guys if anyone had an imagestation account? (www.imagestation.com)
If so , imagestation is closing and they are recommending that you try shutterfly..if you have an account wth imagestation , go on it and it gives you the option to try shutterfly---for transferrinig your pictures to them, you get a free photobook (20 pages)--i made a photo book of the colorado wedding which was a 30.00 value and just had to pay 7.00 for shipping!

Thanks for posting this! I used to use imagestation quite a bit, but have started using shutterfly. It's nice to have them doing the transfer!

Lucy had her 2 month check up this morning. She weighs in at 12lbs 5oz, up a total of 4lbs since she was born. She is 22 3/8 inches. She also got her first shots. She did so well, she cried only with one of them, it was really more like a grimace, and she got 3 total. It was funny as when Emma got her first shots I was bawling like a crazy woman. A lot less when Molly had hers and with Lucy not one tear was shed!!

Well I need to get off of here. Molly just woke up from another 2 hour nap. Must have worn the poor child out. :thumbsup2 Emma and Allyson will be home in about 20 minutes and the boys need to get up too.

Sending 's and :wizard: to everyone.

Long story short...
Mom has a hernia, doctor ordered a scope of her stomach. They found and removed 3 polyps, now we sit and wait. She had a sister who died of stomach cancer.

:grouphug: Heidi! You are all in my prayers.

I am debating buying an iPod. Do any of you have one? Do you have the Shuffle or a larger one and why? Do you like having the window to see what is playing or don't you care?

Alan has a video iPod and for mother's day he got me a lime green shuffle (the one that is just a bit larger than a stamp). I love mine! I can clip it to my waistband and go all day long! It holds about 8 hours of music, and I use it every day! I just downloaded Harry Potter 7 to it to keep me going on my walking in the next week or so. Can't wait to start.

Alan loves his video iPod, although he doesn't really use it for videos. I like to shuffle my music, so I don't really need the screen to tell me what's playing.

Janet - Thanks! I was happy to get AKL and the Dining Card AND my ME ressies all in one transaction online. Now I just have to wait for 3 refunds to come through.:rolleyes1 We love AKL, and DH is happy about staying there even though he pretended to be shocked at the difference in price. Our philosophy used to be that Pop was fine for short trips. Well, last night DH said "I think it's good to stay at AKL because we will rest better. It's such a short trip we need to sleep well.":rotfl2: And really, we miss not having a coffee maker when we're at Pop.

Hi, Glynis! Nice to see you!:goodvibes

Sorry, Janet! I don't have a recipe for salsa! To me, it's just easier to buy the stuff!

I did spend last night making peach nectar from our tree! Talk about making the house smell good!!!

Afternoon all..

Terry and Steffy- any chance you are free Saturday late afternoon early evening? Thought maybe we could meet up for dinner or something if you are.

Stephanie will be away attending her DF and his wife's Anniversary party. I will have been at another American Indian Pow Wow during the day, but meeting for supper would be great. :goodvibes I am sure by then my kids and their kids will be very tired!!!

You have my cell number just give me a call.

Well, I'm finally caught up! Chatty weekend!

Not much going on here, except that Alan left this morning for 2 weeks. He is covering a major trial taking place in southern Utah and it is expected to last 2 weeks. Ick!!! I hate it when he's gone that long. Oh well. At least I'll get to see him on the weekends!

My brother is getting married on Saturday, so that will help pass the time! It should be a real production, too! I can't wait to share pictures with you guys! It sounds like it's going to be gorgeous!!!

Biggest news here is that Katie woke up at 5:00 spewing from both ends!!! Poor thing! We got her cleaned up and back to bed, and she's slept the day away. Of course it happens while Alan is gone! I'm just hoping that it bypasses the other kids, or runs its course quickly. Any spare pixie dust would be welcomed!

Theresa - I am sorry Jim broke your Figment!:guilty: I would replace it myself, but that's just me.

Glynis - Yikes! I hope Katie feels better soon! Maybe the trial will wrap up earlier than 2 weeks!:wizard:

I should hear from DH shortly - DS is getting out of school right now. I hope he had a good day.

Princess is alseep. She slept for 30 minutes at school, which doesn't seem like enough of a nap for a 20 mo. old! They said she stayed on her mat when she woke up, though, so that's good! I don't imagine she will sleep very long.

I'm just going to ditto what Heather said because she gave a great recap. :goodvibes

 Heidi and Elin. I'm sending good thoughts for your families.

My sister bought a new house in Richmond but they haven't moved everything from Charlottesville yet because they are building a fence to put their horses in. Plus, they haven't sold their old house yet. My sis asked me to watch her baby (1 year old) during the week while she works. I really don't have time but how can I say no? I'm sure that they are tight with money and I know that she's exhausted between working and taking care of their current farm and the baby by herself (her DH is at the new house wiht her older daughter so she can go to school.) I'll find the time somehow. :wizard:

 :yay:  :woohoo: :sad2: :scared: :cool1: :rotfl2: to everyone who needs it. I think that about covers everyone. :goodvibes

Where is everyone tonight? I have some time to chat and no one is here. I was surprised when there were so few pages to catch up on. I am leaving very early tomorrow morning to head downstate. It will be a very busy couple of weeks for me. Don't know when I'll have time to get online to chat. I also won't be home next week-end because I'll be on a project. Have a great week people!
Sorry I missed you.

I also spent time hot gluing little plastic ants, flies and spider to clear plastic cups. We will use them as containers for our "dirt" dessert and for the punch. I think this will be fun.
eeeewwwwww:lmao: Sounds like fun!

37 more days :dance3:

Ok, you can never complain that your resort pool is crowded again!:lmao:

WOW!!!!!

Chris wants to wear polo shirts with shorts this trip, but if it is really hot I know that he'll change his mind and want lighter t-shirts. I guess I'll have to wait on the weather reports the week of the trip to decided what to pack. We will be in pants and jackets here by then so I'm guessing that will be our plane attire.

I can't wait to see photos of our weekend either. I have a lot to do between now and then and most of it is cooking which I can't start until Wednesday at the earliest.
I have always found October to be VERY HOT! 90's!

Monsoon, anyone?

It is POURING. Poor DS got drenched going into school. I felt so bad for him! He is so little and he was scurrying along with his big backpack and lunchbox. It was one of those times where my heart twisted in my chest. I am just not loving the whole concept of middle school. He didn't even have that far to walk - I dropped him off at the curb as close to the door as I could.

I managed to get to work without being run over by an ambulance. This is really not the morning to require emergency assistance because they couldn't get through the traffic!

I found a little windbreaker for Princess to wear to school, got her all loaded into the car and dropped off at her classroom. I was soaked by the time I made it back to the car. Jumping into the pool would have been a less soggy endeavor, I think! Poor Princess was not impressed that I was leaving her there. I hope she settles down and has a good day.

I came back and tossed my jacket in the dryer. My shorts will just have to dry on their own, unless I go put on the shorts I usually wear over my swimsuit and put these in to dry. I noticed that water was leaking into the playroom under the door! I put some towels down, called Momboss, and now I am catching my breath.:upsidedow
What a day! We could still use same rain here!

I just heard back from my friend. He talked to the AAA agent and she told him she didn't link the ressies. I didn't think they were linked since she didn't make mine! So they are going to remain at Pop. He did ask me if they should make their own dining ressies. I think he doesn't understand about ADRs. I HAVE ADRs for all 5 of us, and I checked this morning to make sure all the fiddling hadn't messed up my dining. I did tell him last month to make an ADR for dinner Wednesday night because they arrive WAAAY earlier in the day than we do, so he booked Brown Derby. He gets very fidgety about the ADRs and the Dining Plan (which they didn't buy) and I'm not sure what it is that confuses him. The DDP in no way figures into ANY of this. They don't need to make ADRs simply because I changed hotels. Anyway, hopefully this will work out and not require any additional drama.:thumbsup2
Good luck with all that!

I think I would need a nap if I lived in your house too!:rotfl:

Over the weekend my darling husband  broke my only souvenier from my first trip to WDW oh so long ago. :sad1: http://cgi.ebay.com/Figment-Epcot-d...oryZ1380QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It was not my weekend!!:sad2:

Should I make him go out and find it himself....(which would take forever if he even did it) or should I replace it myself???
I think I would replace it so I know I would actually get it!

Well, I'm finally caught up! Chatty weekend!

:scared1: Poor Katie!:wizard:

I am so confused....why are they sending a 20 month old (who has a nanny) to school so she can nap at school? :confused3 If they want her to have a school experience wouldn't she get more out of it awake?

My MIL was over yesterday and said that she and her DH were going to be in FL for Christmas with DH's grandmother and they wanted to come to WDW to see us. Oh man. This isn't good. :headache:

Bernadette - The kids under age 2 are in "Mom's Day Out" which includes the nap. Actual preschool does not include a nap. They already had her enrolled when they hired me, and it is just 2 days per week. I am MORE than happy to go pick her up after lunch if sleeping at school doesn't work out for her. I used to do that with DS and my charge when they were her age. Her parents want her to get used to being in a group. She socializes with other kids now and then, but her interactions are mainly with adults. In her little gymnastics and swim class I am right there with her. Also, around here if you want a slot in a program you get in ASAP. The good programs fill up fast, and kids moving up from the younger classes get priority over any "outside" kids trying to enroll.

Kim - I don't think I would like visitors invading my Disney trip. Of course I have 2 friends coming to Disney for our December trip so maybe I should just hush.:rotfl2:

Glynis, I'm so sorry you're on your own for 2 weeks .. I hope the trial wraps up faster then they think. Have fun at the wedding this weekend and lost os pics I LOVE weddings :D and I hope Katie's feeling better and fast also I hope no one else gets the ickies. pixiedust:
Deb.. October was in the triple digits when we were there in '05 .. Not sure chris is gonna want polo's unles they're VERY light weight ..

Kim, thanks .. I learned to open "notebook" on my puter while i'm reading so i can just type responses and then cut and paste lol .. that's the only way i could possibly remember everything over 30 pages of stuff after my weekends away lol
