I got an email confirmation for my Jan reservation and it looks good. I saved about $100!

That's great! That's $100 to spend on something else!

I haven't heard back yet. I guess if they freak out I can keep the Pop ressie (even if the Dining Card dropped off, which it may have). I don't know why it says there is a balance due, though. Weird.

Well, the cold is here in full force, I'm afraid. I felt really bad this morning (confident I was running a fever) and once we got home from Austin, I've been curled up on the couch sleeping. I do need to think about getting up though, as I need to go switch out clothes and repack to go back to Austin tomorrow. I really could have used this another week - not this one!

Good luck to all those trying to get your reservations sorted out! I'm sometimes amazed at the unhelpful (or less than knowledgeable) CM's there are working in CRO. If you don't know what you're doing, they can lead you down a bad path at times!

Oh, Bernadette and Elizabeth - Jonathan and I are thinking of going 5/1-5/5 next year. I'm currently holding a room at the Poly.

Now, on to tonights game --cowboys vs giants!

Jen -- I thought about you when I drove past the stadium this morning on the way to the airport. They already had security at all of the entrances, and it was only 9:30 a.m.!!!

Deb/Chris the Jimmy is not shifting right. Gary has to manually shift it. When it acts up the speedometer does not work either. They said it was a sensor & put a new one in, but apparently that was not the problem or was only part of the problem. I'm scared to hear what they say when they call.

Janet -- I'm so sorry you are having this trouble. I had car problems and feel so helpless when trying to get service/make decisions. Good luck!

Lindsay -- I hope you feel better soon. Travel is tiring, much less if you aren't feeling well.

Tammi -- congrats to Nicholas! We start soccer games next weekend.

Jake had his first kidpitch baseball game yesterday. They won, and he did okay. He only had one ball hit to him in right field, and he fielded it and got it in quickly. He walked once, stole two bases and made it home for a run. The second time he batted, he struck out. He told me afterwards that he wasn't sure he liked kidpitch... I told him he had to finish the season, and if he didn't want to play again that was fine with me.

I just had a wonderful dinner of clam chowder and myt favorite crab cakes. I'm off to edit a couple of things for work, get a little reading done, then off to bed.

Lindsay - I hope you feel better soon! Not a good week to be sick!
I mentioned the pin event to DH. He said "We're not going." I said "YOU aren't. I might." I already looked at his schedule. But he said maybe he'll bid for that week, which would put him on vacation April 27 - May 6. We have to come home May 4 because it looks like DS has testing on May 5, but it is something to consider!

Jen - I am glad your dad is recovering well! It's good that he can drive and get out some. That should boost his spirits! I'm sorry about your grandpa. Hopefully the oncologists can do something to help.

Yes -- vs. the Giants. They were losing by 3 the last time I checked the TV.

When I jumped on the metro earlier it was flooded with Redskins fans!

No -- I'm in DC, but I know there are TONS of football fans in Dallas that became Skins fans because of their frustration with the Cowboys!

The last few days in April, first week of May is my absolute favorite time of year to go to WDW. The Sunday after grad night, we went to AK in the morning. The MK had EMH evenings, and was open until 1:00am. Everyone I spoke to who went ( my family didn't go, I should have just gone by myself) had a ball.

Flower and Garden is at EPCOT. The weather was perfect. Most schools are still in session, not that many people take their kids of of school as finals are usually that week, so no crowds. I just love it during that time.

I am debating buying an iPod. Do any of you have one? Do you have the Shuffle or a larger one and why? Do you like having the window to see what is playing or don't you care?

My girls each have an IPod. They have the bigger one. However, Chuck just bought me a Microsoft Zune. The advantage of that is that it has a radio as well. He has had one of his own for about a month and loves it. I'm currently ripping my CD's to download to it. I love it. I like the window because I can also put some pictures on it. That will be nice for me when I'm away from home. Chuck also bought me the car adapter so that I can listen to it on the car radio when I'm traveling.

I think CRO was having computer issues today. The first gal I got who insisted AAA rates weren't out was just wrong but they all said they were having computer problems.

Emma would LOVE going to the Poly - she keeps asking to go back to the hotel with the beach- but I really don't see that happening. I am now considering perhaps more than 5 nights.....
