I did read last night, but I am being lazy. So ditto & thanks Elizabeth :teeth:

Yikes, Becky! I have never heard of that company, but they sound very shady! I hope you can get it all fixed before they do anymore damage!

Marci, glad the boys had fun at their games! I hope that other coach learned his lesson!

I love Ursula!:goodvibes

Great pics! DS liked looking at how the percussion kids are all arranged at the sideline. Your ring is very pretty!

Good Morning DDA,

Sorry I've been MIA for a while, I've missed so many Birthdays, Anniversaries, and PD requests. I hope they were all great and that those who need a little PD are doing better.

I've been under the weather since we got back from our trip, and three weeks of breathing issues have zapped me of all my energy. I'm finally feeling a little better, but lungs are not clear yet. I'm going to try and get some cleaning done around here today, clutter is not a big issue with just the two of us home, but dust sure is.

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Debbie

Somehow I keep getting very annoying pop ups from EI & I use Firefox! I have been trying everything I can think of to fix this, but it will not stop  It is some type of a trojan/spyware. If you use EI & start getting pop ups or any thing from outerinfo, beware! Check you add/remove programs to see if this is there. I uninstalled it, but so far has done no good :sad2: I'm scared to do to much as I don't want to get rid of something that needs to stay on my computer. If I can't figure it out, I will have to take in it.

Debbie hope you are feeling 100% soon :wizard:

Where can I begin to tell you all how very proud of my daughter I am? She has studied and honed her craft well this past year and it showed last night bright and clear. The entire ensemble cast, the set and lighting design, the direction and the writing were all beyond spectacular. But my daughter, the Actor, was resplendent.

Within the span of 80 minutes or so, Kristin portrayed four vastly different characters. When we entered the theater she was seated in the audience, in full makeup and costume. Just sitting there staring off into space. She did that for 35 minutes until the play opened. Her first character was a spoiled Tidewater teenager complaining about the uncomfortable seats in the theater, and imploring those of us in attendance with her to rise up and shift in our seats so her movements and the resulting squeaking and screeching would not be so obvious.

Her second entrance was as that of a child, I would think about age 5 or 6, with a completely different voice, talking about letting go of her mother's hand as they tried to escape the flames. The child's mother had made her dress for the evening and had become exasperated trying to do the final fitting, telling the child that she would just have to grow into the dress. Kristin's last line as that character was, "Never had the chance."

Next she was an older, more refined survivor of the fire, comparing the flavors of every succulent dessert imaginable to the sweet smell of fresh air when she finally got out of the theater. And finally, another survivor who described the escape of a family of pigeons from the collapsing roof, only to watch their wings catch fire and then burn and fall at her feet.

Each character had a slightly different Tidewater dialect and tone color, dependent upon the age and education of the character. I was stunned. Last night showed me that she is right where she belongs. No matter what her future holds she will be happy on the stage and that makes this mother very proud.

Hope you have a magical day Jo!

ditto! happy birthday!

Debbie - I hope you feel better soon!

Elin - Yay for Kristin! The play sounds wonderful! I wish DS had some passion for theater, but it doesn't appear that he does. They had auditions for Peter Pan at school but he didn't want to try.:confused3

I've been outbid on all 3 auctions I was winning. DH got mad when he saw that I was bidding on Millennium pins so I guess I won't bid on any more of those! If he thinks he can find the other 80-something pins he needs to complete the set in the parks then that's fine.

Jo,
Belated Happy Birthday to you!!!

Janet,
Very cute bag. I like the fabric on the inside too. I have a string backpack that I got at WDW in 2005 that I am bringing. It won't be carrying much around since I won't have the kids with me so I hope the strings are not too annoying.

Debbie,
Feel better soon.

Deb,
I like all of your costumes. That contest was made for you! If you can submit more than one I would. They would be hard pressed to find someone who is more creative that you with costumes.

Elin,
Wow! Just your description was moving. I can't imagine how you felt at the performance. Congrats to Kristin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found some sheets on clearance at Target the other day. 300 thread count, all cotton, complete set for $30. They are kind of ugly - gold with palm trees. But we only have one set of sheets that fits our current mattress so I figured I can deal with "ugly".:rotfl2: They are in the wash now.

I am trying to decide if I want to call WDW and order a Disney Visa pin. We won't be at DTD in December and that's the only place to buy one on property. They have one that is available all year, then they have others that have been released at 3 month intervals like the AP pins. I think all of those are sold out, though.

I am sure if you go to pinpics or dizpins you will find someone there trading them. I checked & I have a few. Some are hard to find traders so it will cost him a better pin, but some are very plentiful. I was one of those crazy people who stood in line every Saturdayfor the other two sets of pins. I just finished trading them last trip as I realized I really didn't like most of them. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Take care Penny

:wave2: Hi, Penny! It is always refreshing to log on here and see a post from you. Feel free to make my day and do it more often. :goodvibes

Well aren't you just the nicest person. You just made my whole weekend. :cool1:
So many times you post and you wonder if anyone is reading anything you write. So thank you again and have a nice day. :hippie:

What news to come home to and after all your hard work recently. You may have answered this in the next few pages, but will the layoff be temporary due to the budget issues or is it permanent? :wizard: for you all and an extra few :grouphug:

It is temporary until they agree to a budget. We have no idea how long that will take. Many of them really thought that the governor would sign a one month extension. She has said no way. They've known about this since the beginning of the year and have not taken it seriously that they needed to resolve it. I see lots of new politicians after the next vote.

next week I'll get a pic just for him of the pit at the end playing the "instruments" that are part of the rest of the show.
