That sounds amazing. Congrats to Kristin and her Mom!

...and to the audiences who are fortunate enough to benefit from all the hard work these young people have put into the project over the last 6 weeks or so. The writer and the director are also young... 30 and 28 respectively!

I love the pictures. The ring is beautiful. I missed when & why you got that.

I just got it on Friday night at a silent auction to benefit ovarian cancer research...I don't wear much jewelry(only my wedding ring really) but this ring just called to me.

That truly is amazing. Though, age doesn't always have anything to do with creativity and potential.

Hello all! Today is our sleeping in day. We have MNSSHP tonight, and we plan on attending EVERY minute of it!:goodvibes

Leighanna wants to swim and then get ready for tonight,

DW is going to go to DTD to shop! (Poor me, and I do mean that literally!;) )

We are having a wonderful time. Yesterday was a bit rainy, with a few bursts of thunderstorms, but since we were in Epcot, we did a lot of indoor activities.
We loved the Disney Visa meet and greet. They really played and had lots of fun with Leighanna. They even incuded my wife and I in all their shananigans!
It was Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy. Goofy is quite the character!

The F&W fest is going strong! Tons of people, long lines, and very congested in world showcase. I think that it might be because of it being the first weekend, and a lot of locals came out to party!

We took the international gateway to the boardwalk after Illuminations, and enjoyed the boardwalk very much! A magician on a bike, stopped us before the show and had Leighanna help him out. She had a great time and laughed her butt off!

I really want to stay here some time. DW likes the look of the resort, and I told her how much Anne Marie and her family love it. So, maybe next trip!

I don't have time to post pictures yet, but I will include them when we get back. For some reason photobucket and i are not coorporating!

We like POFQ. This resort is much smaller than Riverside, so we aren't walking forever to get to the food court or the pool.

Have a great day DDA! (I know that I will!;) )

next week I'll get a pic just for him of the pit at the end playing the "instruments" that are part of the rest of the show.

He would like that! Thanks!:)

Penny - I think it would cost as much in postage to trade for them as it would be to buy them outright on EBay!:rotfl2: There are actually 2 sellers right now who have all 102 pins up as a set if I wanted to shell out $300, which I don't.;) DH insists that he doesn't care if he finishes the set, he just likes to look for the pins in the parks. I actually got a very nice PM from another DISer offering to sell her pins to us, but DH said no. If I can win a 10-pin lot here and there I will do it. If DH wants to keep them, fine. If he wants to trade them, fine. I will just keep in mind that he may trade them so I don't want to spend more than about $2 per pin.:) I agree that there aren't very many that I would keep based on looks alone.

Elin-it sounds like an amazing production. WTG to Kristin and the whole cast and crew.

You are so right about that. For me it is the thrill of the chase. Tell him to make sure he checks the books in the Resorts. I know WL & BWV have them. I have seen many of the DS pins there. Happy hunting.:yay:

hmm Thats an idea just need to figure out what pictures to put in.
Do you have any photos of her talking to Virginia in your belly?

Oh -- I bet they were so cute! Around here, the little ones wear lime green, bright pink or bright purple, along with soccer shorts that are half way to their feet and huge matching bows! I can't wait for my niece Hallie to start playing!
Emma is on the Blue Diamonds team with a light blue shirt. I think she would have quit before wearing the pink shirt. There are also a lime green and orange teams. There are 6 girls on each team. They do drills for 45 minutes and then play 3 vs 3 for the next 45 minutes. They have fun and that is what counts.

So Olivia is going to be an Ariel Bride for Halloween. I thought it would be cute if Jeff and I had shirts to wear. Pat did this design for Jeff.

This one was done by Pat

Now I need to decide which one I want to wear. What do you all think?
Those are great! I like Ursula the best too.

I am still having a hard time sleeping. I go to sleep fine and sleep for about 3hrs get up to go to the bathroom and then have a hard time going back to sleep and staying asleep.

So I think I am going to head to bed. As Olivia has been waking up around 8am and once shes up she will not let me sleep even if Jeff is up.
I remember those days (not that I get much more sleep now...). :wizard: Hope you had a good night sleep!

Here's the photos I promised...my chubby finger and beautiful ring are at the end!!

Great pictures-looks like it was a beautiful day. Love the ring!

Good Morning DDA,

Sorry I've been MIA for a while, I've missed so many Birthdays, Anniversaries, and PD requests. I hope they were all great and that those who need a little PD are doing better.

I've been under the weather since we got back from our trip, and three weeks of breathing issues have zapped me of all my energy. I'm finally feeling a little better, but lungs are not clear yet. I'm going to try and get some cleaning done around here today, clutter is not a big issue with just the two of us home, but dust sure is.

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Debbie
:wizard: Hope you're feeling better soon!!!

Somehow I keep getting very annoying pop ups from EI & I use Firefox! I have been trying everything I can think of to fix this, but it will not stop  It is some type of a trojan/spyware. If you use EI & start getting pop ups or any thing from outerinfo, beware! Check you add/remove programs to see if this is there. I uninstalled it, but so far has done no good :sad2: I'm scared to do to much as I don't want to get rid of something that needs to stay on my computer. If I can't figure it out, I will have to take in it.
:wizard: Goodluck with that!

I did order this bag yesterday(thanks to the budget board. I really need to not look there lol)

http://www.rei.com/REI-Outlet/product/761594

I purchased the green one. Hopefully I can use this for Disney!
Love that! I do NOT need another bag!

Where can I begin to tell you all how very proud of my daughter I am? She has studied and honed her craft well this past year and it showed last night bright and clear. The entire ensemble cast, the set and lighting design, the direction and the writing were all beyond spectacular. But my daughter, the Actor, was resplendent.

Within the span of 80 minutes or so, Kristin portrayed four vastly different characters. When we entered the theater she was seated in the audience, in full makeup and costume. Just sitting there staring off into space. She did that for 35 minutes until the play opened. Her first character was a spoiled Tidewater teenager complaining about the uncomfortable seats in the theater, and imploring those of us in attendance with her to rise up and shift in our seats so her movements and the resulting squeaking and screeching would not be so obvious.

Her second entrance was as that of a child, I would think about age 5 or 6, with a completely different voice, talking about letting go of her mother's hand as they tried to escape the flames. The child's mother had made her dress for the evening and had become exasperated trying to do the final fitting, telling the child that she would just have to grow into the dress. Kristin's last line as that character was, "Never had the chance."

Next she was an older, more refined survivor of the fire, comparing the flavors of every succulent dessert imaginable to the sweet smell of fresh air when she finally got out of the theater. And finally, another survivor who described the escape of a family of pigeons from the collapsing roof, only to watch their wings catch fire and then burn and fall at her feet.

Each character had a slightly different Tidewater dialect and tone color, dependent upon the age and education of the character. I was stunned. Last night showed me that she is right where she belongs. No matter what her future holds she will be happy on the stage and that makes this mother very proud.
WOW!!! You should be very proud!!! Will you see the production again?

I am sure if you go to pinpics or dizpins you will find someone there trading them. I checked & I have a few. Some are hard to find traders so it will cost him a better pin, but some are very plentiful. I was one of those crazy people who stood in line every Saturdayfor the other two sets of pins. I just finished trading them last trip as I realized I really didn't like most of them. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Take care Penny
aka Chaos Cent
When I was looking for a description of the locket pin last night I was looking at the pins and wondering which ones I have-which ones I went to the Disney Store on Saturdays to buy-thinking there were too many I would be interested in today. I'll have to dig mine out to see what I have.

Wow! Only 18 days until we are at Disney. I have so much to get done and haven't even started. I guess I better get moving. We are going to wear orange shirts with the design that someone on here posted. We are also going to buy Mickey pumpkin ears.

Halloween2007copy-1.jpg

Do you remember who designed it so that I can thank them?

Nicky hasn't decided what he plans to wear. He is thinking about going as Tigger but then he thought maybe he would see if he could get matching shirts with Chuck & I.

Either would be cute!

Sorry to be asking this again....what size shirts do I get for Pal Mickey? Lizzy & I are wearing matching T's for everyday of our trip-4 are from the Disney Store but 2 I made so it would be cute for our Mickey to have those. Then when I go in January Pat made a great design for Joe that I thought I would make for both of us and one for Mickey would be great!

Thanks!

Well I guess I'm off to look at washing machines.

I may stop by the office for a while but I'm not feeling in the mood for that. It would take some of the stress off of the week but I think I'll be OK if I don't go in so I don't think I will. I just HAVE to get up and out of the house early in the morning.

The ones that I like for Pal Mickey are called Style A. I get most of them from www.adollysworld.com. They have 6 colors. They are a little bigger than he really needs but I like getting them and then just rolling up the bottom. They are easier to get on over his body or head. Otherwise, you are fighting to get them on. If she doesn't have the color you need, let me know and I can get you the other site I've purchased from which had a couple more colors. She doesn't have orange so I have to search for that now so I can get one before we go if he is going to match us. Otherwise, he'll have to wear a purple shirt.

Reading this brought tears to my eyes, Elin. You have every right to be proud of your daughter and it came across loud and clear in your post just how proud you are. Brava, Kristin!

Penny

We were at WL in August and he found several in the book there. That's also where he found the 100 Years of Dreams and Musical Moments, I think. There are books at MK and MGM, and we checked the boards at MK and Epcot as well as the lanyards of every CM in all 4 parks and every CM in the hotels. We also thumbed through some books at DTD. There was a very nice lady there who traded a Stitch "Million Dreams" pin to me for a Chip & Dale "healthy food" cast lanyard pin. I bought several boxes of those Million Dream pins and ended up with 3 Dumbos - the curse of the mystery sets! Stitch is actually kind of cute, and I wasn't planning to keep the Chip & Dale anyway. :)

Take care of yourself, Debbie. I hope you are feeling good as new soon!

well i have good news and i have bad news

BAD NEWS: the night attendant that i have had for 3 weeks is leaving me in a week and i have just transfered to the program where i hire nad fire attendants and i am in charge of finding my own attendants. why does stuff like this happen to me.

GOOD NEWS: I GOT A JOB and i found a halloween costume that actually fits and dont have to have mom alter it:cool1: :yay: :dance3:

Congrats on the job!!! What are you going to be doing? What is your costume?

Sorry about your attendant. Pixie dust that all will work out for you!

Well just a pop-in to say Hi.
My new transfer is working out great.
I love the new property.
I'm back to working with my old Engineer.
Only thing is now she is my Supervisor.
We make a good team & we are good friends.
Only problem is the Engineer quit.
He said there were to many women working there.
No really that's what he said.
What the H*** he knew his boss would be a woman before they hired him.

Well I have great news!!
Ramiro got his 1st progress report.
2 A's & 4 B's. :woohoo:
No C D F.
I have to admit I'm a little mad at him.
He failed last year.
Why? Because he is lazy & doesn't do the work.
He scored 4 & 5's on his FCATS.
All A's in Summer School.
I'm hoping he stays on the right track.
He has really changed his attitude.
I hope he has learned his lesson.

Well Happy Everything to everybody.
Anyone in need of prayers & pixe dust.
Sending out a large dose your way.
You all take care.
Catch ya later.

Hooray for Ramiro!!!Tell him his DDA aunties are proud of his grades! We knew he could do it!!!

I'm so glad that you are happy with your transfer! That makes going to work a lot easier.

I'm home again. Got here late last night. Found out about 2pm yesterday that I'm laid off on Monday morning. I don't know how much you guys follow the news but there is going to be a government shutdown on Monday if the governor and legislature doesn't come up with a budget for next year. Chuck & I will be fine if I'm laid off for a while but I'm really worried about the state.

Oh, Vicki! I'm so sorry!!! I'll keep you in my prayers for a quick resolution to this.

That is so great Elin, It is always so rewarding watching your children when they really love what they do.
