I think Matthew only woke up once, early this morning (6 a.m.)...I say think, because I didn't turn on the monitor last night.

Seriously though, he only woke up once, because there's no way both Kevin and I would have slept through the fit he pitches when he wants some "night attention."

Hopefully we're back on the right track again.

I just called Disney to try and get a sleigh ride for Christmas Day and they are completely booked out. Darnit. I called a month ago and couldn't do it and somehow the window slipped by me (I could have booked on the 26th).

In other news, I've been busy getting Owen's room ready to paint. If I ever go to put a border up on a wall again, please shoot me. What a hassel to take it down. But, it's down and I can get started. I peeled off the top layer and then used a solution of half water and half downy fabric softner sprayed on the glue. I was easily able to scrap it off. Only problem is that Owen's room is smelling downy fresh.

That's a problem?

My nearly 5 year old has decided that putting marbles in his mouth is a good idea I've caught him a couple of times in the last couple days. Now I'm crawling around the house marble hunting as I'm putting them away for a while. He didn't even do that as a toddler, but now it's a good idea BOYS!!!

I have so many projects that I'd like to do around here, but I'm just not motivated. It is a overcast day here with intermittant rain so motivation is tough to come by. We do need the rain though so It's not all bad. We should have a dry weekend with fall temperatures. That won't be so bad either. I have tomorrow off. It is Nick's birthday so I'm sure we'll do something fun though Chris will be working all morning on projects that he has put off. He has some private clients that have been very patient so now he must do the work. Maybe apple picking and bowling. We also need to work on our basement and garage.

Yesterday I decided to tackle the Minnie Lamp. I knew that we had some red rope lights downstairs from Christmas. I took a chance that they would be wired as some others that I had read about with 18" circuits. If I was right then I should be able to cut them down as long as I went in 18" increments. I decided that I needed 6 feet for the bow. I was able to remove one end easily so I bit the bullet and cut away. Thankfully I was right and my 18 foot lights were now 6 foot. I also managed to get them wired into the light. It still doesn't look quite right though. I think I'll get some red and white polka dot fabric to put in the center of the bows. I will post a picture when I'm done messing around with it.

She looks awfully good for being "dead!" Congratulations to her and you!!! What a thrill!

Okay, I really need to slow down. That is the third time I have read that show title as Dirty, Sexy, Monkey and wondered what the heck kind of show you're watching. I need some help. Or maybe sleep. Maybe just both.
