Good morning, DDA!

:woohoo: on getting CRT!

Lindsay, I am glad your event was cancelled! Congrats on your CRT ressie!

Deb- You are amazing!!
Tomorrow is work and than we are going to go stock up for our open house on Saturday.
I will take pictures Saturday before the party.....almost all decorated.
We will either have 4 people or 40+ people in our house Saturday. Instead of housewarming gifts we have asked people to bring baby items for a local hospitals maternity ward ministry. I hope we get a lot of items!!

I am also paying our trip off (finally!!)

Enjoy your housewarming! I hope you have a great turnout! And congrats on paying off the trip!! I looked online last night just to make sure my payment went through - ZERO due! YAY!

I keep asking Chris what he would like for father's day and he keeps saying that he doesn't need anything. So while visiting him at work today I asked him if he's started wearing his Mickey watch that plays the Mickey Mouse March. It has become tradition for him to play the March several times a day prior to a trip which annoys the heck out of his coworkers :lmao: Turns out that watch is broken. So now I will need to find a new one. It sounds like the perfect father's day gift to me :goodvibes

Congrats on getting stuff done at work! And good luck finding a replacement for Chris's watch!

We are going to TRY to go to the Arboretum today. If the weather looks too dicey I will probably take the kids to see Surf's Up, even though I don't want to see it.

Ding Ding Ding!!! Kelli is the winner! Today was the first day that you could make ressies at AKV for non-owners. I called right at 9, which took a while to get through, waited on hold for 10-15 minutes, and was able to get a ressie for the dates that I wanted. I was hoping for a savannah view but had to settle for a standard. It's better than nothing though.

   :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Chanon - I think I would be more excited about the dress shopping! :) But the painting is very cool too, since it will really change your every day life. Can't wait to see the pictures.

We have discussed the many differences between WDW and DLR on here before. I need to tell you the most drastic difference I have encountered so far. I just ordered our Bonus Hoppers online. They sent me an Adobe file which I saved to my computer. I then printed out my tickets right here at home! That is a very cool way to get everything done in advance. I wish WDW would go to something like this too.

My computer was acting Wonky this morning so I decided to tie dye. I got 5 Mickey Shirts in plastic baggies waiting for time to pass :rolleyes1 I also did 2 royal blue tie dye shirts as I couldn't buy royal blue shirts for women :confused3 While I was tied up with that :rotfl: I got a ding and didn't know it. Well it was the one that I needed to book airfare for my mother. By the time I noticed it there was only 30 minutes left to book and her phone was busy :scared: I finally got through and managed to book her flights with just a couple minutes to spare :woohoo: She will be flying into Orlando Very late on Friday Aug 3rd and she'll fly back with us on Aug 12th. Her tickets ended up being $3 cheaper than ours and those were DING fares. I guess I got a good deal originally.

Now I can add her to the reservations and buy her tickets, make her shirts etc.

Deb

   Glad that you made it on in time to book for Mom! How fun!!!

I also just got a sale notice to get me and Jonathan a flight to MO over Labor Day weekend for his grandmother's 90th b-day. Flights have been almost $400 a piece (for an hour and a half flight! ), but I just booked for $200 each. This will be so much better than driving 18 hours roundtrip!

Of course, I would rather the tickets be to MCO, and not MO, but I digress...

Where are you going to be?

Good morning DDA

The boys are a bit rambunctious already this morning :scared: I think I need to find some chores to keep them busy. What chores can I come up with for 2 4 year olds?

I need to rinse out the last tie dye shirt and do a couple of iron ons. I might as well get them done early today.

Good morning DDA :)

Thanks for all the compliments on the gowns :goodvibes Chanon the other cranberry gown was to big, so no pictures.

Deb your idea for Fathers day sounds good, hope Chris doesn't get online & read about it lol

Chanon look forward to seeing pictures of your dresses tomorrow!

Im so glad theres so many around chatting tonight !
We got some bad news about an "aunt" of mine today.
Shes my grandmother's cousin and is one of the ladies helping me on my job search. We just found out she has cancer and the doctor gave her 2 weeks..so please keep aunt lois in your prayers or good thoughts if you can

You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Sending prayers!

Sending prayers to her as well! We got news yesterday that a family friend who battled breast cancer last year and grew closer to my mom now has cancer in her liver and other places and may only live two more weeks. Her daughter was one grade ahead of me in school and has been my hairdresser for over 20 years, and her husband does Randy and my DS's hair. My heart breaks for that family. The Mom's name is Jan Booker.
...
Well, the mosquitoes that I complained about yesterday have left multiple bites on me, even with bug spray. In fact, I have three in the shape of a hidden Mickey on my leg!

Jake has his last game tonight, so I'm going to wear jeans and a 3/4 sleeve shirt (even though our HI today is going to be 103!) and spray from head to toe and take the citronella candles.

Have a great day, DDA!

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. She and her family will be in my prayers.

I totally hear you on the mosquitoes. I have been eaten up a few times already. I thought I had a new super-itchy one this morning. Unfortunately, Mom think it might actually be poison ivy. Luckily it is only one tiny spot so far and hopefully it won't spread. Too bad I have NO idea where it came from. :confused3 Not sure how I'm supposed to avoid getting it again since I've only been in our backyard and my sister's this week.

Hi all,

Finally got caught up.

Happy Anniversary to Vicki and Terry and their hubbies.

Happy Birthday Daniel

Prayers said for those that needed them.

Had my OB appointment this AM Baby was very active and took the nurse quite awhile to find the heartbeat.

Still dealing with nausea but not as bad and have not throw up in 2 weeks. Still having headaches and migraines, thus another reason not on the computer much lately.

Next weekend we are heading to the coast. Will leave Fri afternoon around 330 and come back sometime on Mon. then the 21st we have our sonogram.

My nasal swab for the whooping cough was negative as has all the other employees that have been tested.

I have been on the computer to long and am starting to get a headache so I will say bye for now.
Hi Jennifer. It's good to have you back. Thank goodness your whooping cough test was negative. I hope you start to feeling better soon.

Ok, you have permission to laugh at me... but what is DDA? It's been puzzling me and I've been too busy looking at designs to try to look it up.
Well you may be a DDA and not even know it! :rotfl2:

I'm sure it's been answered but it stands for Disney Design Addict. Way back when this thread originated it was just a bunch of us making t-shirts for our trips. That has gone by the wayside, some great friendships have formed, and now it is a social club! Feel free to join it. We have a lot of fun!

Thanks also to all of you for the reassuring words re: CRT - I was up at the crack of dawn this a.m., and got our ressie at the exact time I wanted with no problem. :woohoo: I've also decided that maybe traveling with a large group is almost worth it for the ability to book through Group Dining - no menus and buttons to punch, you're just straight through to an agent! I could get used to that. :goodvibes

I may head to bed here shortly, and try to catch up on my beauty sleep. You know you're looking a little rough when everyone tells you, "you look really tired today." Ugh.
Congrats on getting CRT!

After the gowns we went & reserved a place for her reception, then we went & bought flowers so I could make the bouquets.

Garrett had a game tonight & now I am relaxing lol
I love the cranberry one too! I think you look beautiful in it, bra straps and all. :rotfl:

Weeding an area that has nothing you need to keep??? :rotfl:

Good morning everyone. I am off today and am glad because it's going to be 105 with the heat index. YUCK! So I plan on staying in the a/c, except for getting the oil in the van changed and going grocery shopping.

Last night Alyssa had another graduation. This one was at her daycare. It was so cute. I'll try to post a few pictures later.
