Good evening everyone!

This has been such a busy weekend! Seems like everyone else has been pretty busy as well. Unfortunately next week does not look much better :sad2:

Tomorrow besides going to work, Garrett has to be at the park by 5pm for his game at 6 & Riley has to be at the park by 8 for a make-up game at 9pm  I don't think we have ever had a game start so late. The only day next week that there is not a game is Wednesday.

Both my boys are in Jr. High now :cool1: Riley will be in 6th grade & Garrett will be in 8th. Next year Garrett will go to High school

9pm? Good gravy! I don't envy you at all right now. LOL

I have heard horror stories about the buses at POR, but we never once had a problem. We weren't at the main stop (we were at the West stop), and we almost always boarded an empty bus and then did the circuit, often stopping by POFQ, too. They must have buses that run starting at different places, even though I've always heard that they go to POFQ first and then the main stop at POR. I hope that you have our luck!
Ooooh, that's good to know!

Evening everyone! It's been busy around here over the weekend so forgive me for not keeping up with everything but definately grab some :grouphug: and :wizard: for those that need it!!!

Mom's coming home on Wednesday - which means this weekend was spent cleaning the house from top to bottom. She will be painting our living room/dining room/hallway/computer room while she's here for three days - so everything had to be moved, dusted, swept, washed, you name it we did it. NEVER AGAIN. I'll be sure to take some before and after pics for you guys! (Heck, I should do that now while my house is still clean! :rotfl: )

Bob's grandfathers sister (I think that makes her his Great Aunt...) passed away over the weekend. She had been ill and in and out of a coma for a few weeks now. He'll be leaving Monday night for Detroit for the funeral.

Well my :laundy: is done - off to go switch out a another load of clothes!

I hope everyone has a great evening!!!!

Wanna come clean my house? ;) :grouphug:

OH yes, I feel the same way about the Poly! ::yes:: Cha-ching!!

I've heard that about the buses at POR. POP may be a better option just for that reason.

I would love to see pictures!!
I emailed you a link to my Kodak albums. You should be able to view them without signing in.

I'll definately let you know how the bus thing goes for us in August. Have you thought about POFQ?

:grouphug: For Bob.

Springfield..or west springfield..
About 120 miles from us. I wonder how far from Deb.

DH & his Mom had a great day seeing David McCullough. I'm so glad she got a chance to go.

I've got laundry calling again.......speaking of which it reminds me that I wanted to give Tia a tip on the missing socks thing. I use one of the mesh bags for washing the kids socks. A seperate bag for each child. I wash and dry them in the bag. It makes it so much easier and no losts socks. I don't have a missing panty problem so I can't help you with that.:lmao:

Sorry to hear about Bob's Great Aunt

Hope you have a wonderful time with your mom! Look forward to seeing the pictures.

Jen - Sounds like you had a really fulfilling weekend. Congrats to your brother!

Chanon - I'm sorry to hear about Bob's great aunt. :grouphug: I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Lindsay - How scared you must have been. I'll have to remember that, because I'm like Jonathan. Once I get out there I just keep pushing along because I want to get it done. Usually it's because I'm on a time limit. Thanks for the wake up.

Yes, pay attention to your body! He was drinking a lot of water while he was out there, but they told him he needs to alternate Gatorade and water, plus make sure he's been decently fed from now on. That the medicine he takes daily for his hyper tension is a diuretic didn't help matters either. Be careful out there!

I used them twice and had good service from them.:thumbsup2

That's good to know! Question for you and Tammi - did you guys rent strollers from them? My SIL was talking about brining a large umbrella stroller from home (that she would have to buy) for her daughters (5 and 4 on the trip) to alternate riding in. Are the only strollers that ABBF rents the large ones, or do they have simple umbrella strollers, too? It piqued her interest, as they really don't want to have to travel with a stroller on the plane.

Lindsay... I am so thankful you were home yesterday! I have had two dear friends die of heat stroke. Thank goodness you called 911. I hope Jonathan is feeling much better today.

Yes, the fact that I was home on a Saturday at 5 p.m. during the summer is almost a miracle unto itself. I am so sad to hear about your friends - that really does drive the message home.

So we all liked Pirates, but DS thought it was confusing. I was able to follow it fine, but when I asked him what part confused him he said "All of it." I definitely should have watched POTC2 again to refresh my memory on Davy Jones and his story, but that's OK.pirate:

We went to sign my contract, and DS and DH both think my new employers are very nice. So we're all set! I just need to talk with them next weekend to work out the mornings that they want me to work with their current nanny.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the movie, even if DS was a little confused. I'm also glad to hear that they liked your new employers!

Elin-thanks for the Kohl's hint....there was one HSM tshirt in Cassidy's size and with the awesome sale....BOGO free on all tops we got something for Abi and than because my shirts were ALOT more expensive I got 2 tanks for myself (seperate check!!)

That's exciting for everyone! :woohoo:

I asked the kids today and much to my surprise Joe said that he liked Buzz but it wasn't one of his favorites. He added Crystal Palace and Garden Grill to his list.

Lizzy said the Polynesian, POFQ and Pop. :rotfl:

Emma added Dumbo and a few others I just can't remember right now.

Thanks, Bernadette! Tell Lizzy the Poly is one of my favorites, too! ;) :rotfl:

I'm still working on my photos from my May trip. I've got to make discs for my friend & her family now. Next week I hope to work on autograph cards so I can get you an updated copy of my Word file.

Oh, would you mind sharing them with me, too? I'm going to make albums for the 4 of-age kiddos traveling with me in December, and am beginning to get nervous as to how I'll fit it all in!

So I asked my kids their top favs and here is how it went:

Nicholas (7):
ToT
RnRC
Peter Pan
Tea Cups
Space Mtn
Everest
Soarin
Wishes
Spectro
Philharmagic
Heck....just do everything.....

Alyssa (5):
BTMRR
Splash Mtn
HM
FotLK
ITTBAB
Minnie and Mickeys House
PotC
Buzz Lightyear

That's a great list, too. Tell them "thanks", Tammi!

I'm really interested to see if they'll be up to doing any thrill rides - I hope so, but my oldest niece is a little more timid, and her younger sister, who is much braver, does tend to take cues from her. I do believe that they'll both be tall enough to ride just about everything, but we'll see what we can get them on.

My other DN5 is so petite for her age, that she'll probably be left out, poor thing. I'm convinced she'll be in a booster seat until she's 15!

I'm starting to add music to my slideshow and am having a hard time since the park audio thread was taken away. Does anyone have Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo downloaded that they would like to share with me?

I so miss that thread. :sad1: I'm glad I downloaded what I could when I did!

Oh, and I've got BBB on CD, let me transfer it over for you.

Just curious - what are you using to convert it?

Good luck with your mom and all the painting!

I'll definately let you know how the bus thing goes for us in August. Have you thought about POFQ?

Bernadette, your pictures were wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing them! What kind of camera do you have?

Jen - I am glad you and your family got to spend some quality time with Alyssa's family! It sounds like a good weekend!

Chanon - Good luck with your painting projects! Hugs to Bob!

We have never stayed at a moderate before, so I can't comment on POFQ or POR. We LOVE Pop. If the beds were queen size and there was a coffee maker we would never stay anywhere else. Those double beds just kill us because we can't figure out a way for all 3 of us to fit comfortably in them.

We have really enjoyed our 2 stays at AKL because of the bigger beds, fridge, and coffee maker. We have had pool view rooms so we've never had the animals at our balcony, but the resort is lovely. In February we had a killer AP rate so it wasn't very expensive to stay at AKL, then they upgraded us to a deluxe room with bunk beds which we didn't have time to enjoy since it was a 3 night trip!:rotfl2:

We are looking forward to WL in August, and I still want to try the Contemporary. For short trips (or if DS and I go without DH) we'll definitely go back to Pop. The bus service is just outstanding and we love the atmosphere.:)

They only have single and double Graco strollers and single and double jog strollers. I've gotten both in a double and liked the jog better (easier to manuever) but you lose some storage space with that one. The reasons I opted to rent are 1. I never owned a double stroller, as Nicholas was out of it when Alyssa came along, and 2. I wasn't going to buy one since the only time I would use it would be at WDW. Now I'm down to just taking my own single since Nicholas is walking the parks. Well, I take that back...I did rent a double from the park for them the day we went to Epcot, since that park is so big. I felt sorry for him, but he was a real trooper the whole trip.

Thanks, Tammi. Any reason you went the ABBF route vs. renting the Disney strollers? Costs savings, having them for everything? Or are they just far superior strollers?

I just worry about folding these big honkers up. They're insistent upon not renting a car, so they'll be battling these getting them on/off buses.

We have stayed at POR many times. What would you like to know?

You're going to have to let me know how you like POR. When "pricing" out the package using 2007 dates so we could get a ballpark figure, one of the options was POR. We looked at it and later Craig said, POR looks nice. So, we're seriously considering it instead of a value. :cool1:

Oh, Elizabeth...:rolleyes1

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcon...-dunkin_08bus.ART.State.Edition1.372c1ce.html

There actually appear to already be 3 local DD - one in Garland, one in Carrollton, and one in Plano. If you really need a fix, just jump in your car!

That article gives me hope!!

Hmm. I wonder if the one in Carrollton is the one that we used to go to when we lived up there? It hasn't been called Dunkin' Donuts for YEARS. It is called Country Time Donuts. It is sort of on Beltline, but the front of the building actually faces a side street. I think the guy got sick of paying his franchise fees and changed the name, but it was still Dunkin' product.

I actually know about the one in Garland, too, but it doesn't count because it is so freaking FAR! It is on Centerville or Jupiter (I think). I used to have to take one of my former charges to therapy in Wylie on occasion (now that was REALLY, REALLY far!!) and we would pass the Dunkin' Donuts on the way there and back. Never stopped because I don't do donuts in the afternoon.

I remember there used to be one on NW Hwy but it closed. Do you know where the one in Plano is? With gas as expensive as it is I am not so much up for a road trip as I might have been before!:rotfl2:

Lindsay your story had me :scared1: I'm so glad that it wasn't too serious. I hope he learned his lesson.
