Good Morning DDA!

Thanks to all for all the good thoughts and prayers for my Mom.

She has been admitted into the hospital for further tests. She has all the signs of having a stroke, but her CAT scan came out normal.

She is very disoriented, and dehydrated. She is on IV fluids to help with that.

She didn't know me by name, but did recognize me. She knew my brother Chuck, but called him Charles-Charles-Charles. She thought that was his name.:confused3

She doesn't know what day it is, or how long she was lying on the floor.

The apartment manager said that the last time she checked on her was on Friday morning around 10:00 a.m. Well, her beads were on the door at that time. (Each resident puts a string of beads on their doors in the morning to let everyone know that they got up, and are alright. They take them off by noon, so in theory, she was o.k. at that point.)
Friday evening her friend had tried to call her, but got no answer. He called again on Saturday night, but got no answer again. Finally on Sunday he called the apartment manager and she checked on her and found her on the floor.
The doctors think that she is going to be o.k., but are running tests today to see if they can find out what happened.

Once I knew she was O.K. I went into work. So here I am, tired and exhausted, but too worried to sleep. I will check in on her again this afternoon and head into work again tonight.

Again, many thanks to all my DDA friends for all the prayers and support.

Becky, lots of good thoughts and prayers for your grandfather too!

Talk to you all later!
:wizard: I hope they're able to figure out what happened and how to prevent it again.

The problem is that I can't see either of the girl's new beds! So I at least need to get in their room today.

Here's :wizard: that his medicine kicks in soon and that he can get into the dr'.s earlier than August.

How adorable!!

This just made me :rotfl: Sorry you're not having much luck mowing though.

:cool1:

I can remember my grama telling me stories when I was growing up and I love that I can connect the past to the present.

So glad that your brother made it! Sounds like the party was a sucess. Congrats again to Becky.

Sounds like a nice day at the fishing derby. Sorry Colby ended up at the ER. Hope his feet heal soon.

It is good seeing you around here!

I am doing very well so I shouldn't complain. I am just at that miserable stage where I can't get comfortable. The girls are very excited and I am looking forward to 9 or 10 weeks of vacation.

:rotfl:

Hope you stay dry Lindsay or that you can cancel it completely!

Wanna drive to Maryland today?!?;)

Glad to hear she is ok. Hope the tests can give you some more answers. Get some sleep.
I remember that stage. Not fun. :grouphug:
Does your ticker say it's a girl?

DS was watching some show on the History Channel about the technology in Star Wars and whether or not those things are possible. Now he has decided he is bored with that. But there is another Star Wars show coming on about the 30th anniversary so he may end up back on History Channel in a few minutes. We bought advance tickets to the big Star Wars exhibit coming to the Ft. Worth Museum of Science next month. DS's "uncle" who is giving him all the vintage toys is obviously a big fan, so we are all going together. Even DH will get to go because he will FINALLY have days off again!
My DH watched both of those. I thought they were a little long but he found them interesting.

Chris hasn't gone to bed yet. He's watching TLC. First there was a show about Gastro Bypass and now it's about a couple with 16 kids going on a family vacation. Can you imagine?

Colby was pretty good today. He didn't complain and was able to put his sneakers on to play outside. We did pin him down before bed and I was able to remove 7 more splinters. He is being great about it, better than I would have been. Tomorrow I'll take him for a wound check. There is one splinter that is too deep for me to dig out so I'll be sure to ask about that on. I think I've got all of the splinters out of his heels and the sides of his feet. I think I only have one more toe to work on. The rest are in the balls of his feet and there are many still there. Thanks for asking.
16 kids :scared1: I wouldn't survive. I'm glad Colby's feeling better.

Good night, friends!

We have 2 and a half days of school left!!! It's hard to believe. I'll be around for a while tomorrow, but I've got to get lots done to be ready to leave on SATURDAY!!!! That's right, people!! I'll be in DL by the weekend!!!
:cheer2: Wow Have lots of fun. I'll miss not being at DL this summer. If you ride the Nemo subs post a report.:goodvibes

My DH was watching the same shows off and on yesterday! He was a big Star Wars fan and is also in love with the History Channel, so that was a match made in heaven!
Yep my DH too.:thumbsup2

Same here! Alan was in Star Wars heaven last night! I thought the second program was more interesting than the first. It was interesting to see all the mythology tied together!
I studied mythology in HS and college (Not a major just for fun) so I did find that part interesting although I wonder if we read more into it than Lucas intended.:confused3

I know! I'm so excited! Can I share a secret???? Alan and I are planning a trip to WDW to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 3 years. We'll take the kids and make it a week long trip!!! We're not telling the kids yet. I want to get everything all planned, and then let them know. I guess I've got time, right? Anyway, I'm really excited! Alan also wants to look at doing a week at WDW and then a Disney cruise. I just can't believe it's my husband who suggested it!!!
How exciting.:cheer2: A cruise and WDW trip. that would be a blast.:)

Thanks for your input Janet and Jen.

I called member services and they have availability for the dates I'm looking at, but I can't make a ressie until June 6, when they open it up to non-owners.
I can't remember where but I remember seeing some Christmas pics of AKL and they looked beautiful.:santa:

So my youngest just took 20 years off my life. She has her first day where she's alone....she went outside and locked herself out of the house. :scared1: Because it's a new neighborhood and she is afraid of grownups she didn't go to any of our neighbors to cal. When I got there (I had a coworker take me so I could check on her) she looked like she was scared I was going to be mad at her.....I was just so happy to see her!!

We needed to rekey the lock but we will also put a spare in the garage where she can find it.

Oh my goodness!!
:scared1: OMG I would have been freaked out too.:scared1: :grouphug: She must have been shook up. Good idea to have an extra key.:)

I took colby in to the doctors today. The doctor ended up digging out a sliver that was in too deep for me to get out. He screamed and I hat to hold him down. It was HORRIBLE. Thankfully he got it out. He said the rest will surface over time.

Logan has a cold today and he is UGLY to say the least. He has argued with me over everything and back talked some too. I really hope that he will behave better by Thursday.

I think that I'll print out a Mickey head and try to baste a few t-shirts during the slow time at work tonight. I'd like to get those tie dye shirts done soon.

Have a nice weekend.

Deb
Must be going around Blake was so mouthy to me I told him he doesn't zip it tomorrow I''m gonna clean his mouth out with soap.
 :wizard: Hope Colby doesn't have to have anymore splinters dug out.

I am so mad right now :furious: Garrett & Riley just came home. Riley has bruises around his neck & Garrett has bruises around his neck & a nice gash in his back! They were at a friends house in the club house & Garrett's friend told Riley he needed to go. Riley did not leave & this kid starting choking Riley. Garrett got mad & tried to get the kid off of Riley. This kid then gets a stick or something similar & whacks Garrett on the back with it!

I called his mother & had a nice little talk with her. I will not put up with this! Garrett & Riley are to stay away & I told the mother to make sure to tell her son the same. What A way to start summer :sad2:

Garrett has a game tonight. Talk with you all later!
 Oh dear I can't even imagine why that kid did that. How awful. Hope that kid stays away.:wizard:

Hi Glynis! The girls are doing well. Kaelyn gives me a daily countdown on how many days of school left until she's a 7th grader.

Stephanie graduates preschool next week. She doesn't have any idea what graduation is, but she's excited. LOL
How cute. Caleb graduates Kindergarten and we just got his school pics back with him in his little cap and gown.:goodvibes
Of course I felt :sad1: that he's growing up.

I'm so glad that you are having a great visit with your family! Isn't it funny how things change as we grow up? I do find, though, that I still feel a bit of competition with my sister. I don't know why that is. It's not bad, and we don't let it get in the way of our relationship, like we did in high school, but it's still there a bit. Mostly dealing with our kids. Our kids are the same ages, so that might have something to do with it!

Check back in when life slows down a bit (whenever that is!).
It is weird how we change how we relate as we grow up. My older sister (by only 2 years) and me were real close as kids. My younger sister was close to 10 years younger so she was kind of out of the loop. But now that we're all adults I'm closer to my younger sister than my older sister. :confused3

I really went to bed. LOL

I thought I posted what it was. It is called rich and famous brownies but it reminds me more of a fudge as it is marshmallows, evaporate milk, chocolate chips, thin mint GS cookies, etc. I will post the recipe if it is any good. It sure smelled good. Honestly I bet it will be good, I am just lazy tonight. I mean it is chocolate, after all how bad can it be.  It is currently cooking in the refrigerator.;)

Definitely post a trip report:thumbsup2 Pretty please with cherries on top. Have a great trip.
It sound like a dessert my boys would love.
