The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 25

We had a nice BBQ. Lots of food and no rain, what more could we ask for? We also got all of the air conditioners put in though I hope we won't have to use them much as the electric bill will be Chris also diagnosed why the 4 wheeler doesn't have breaks so I can pick up parts tomorrow while I'm out having Colby's feet looked at. I also picked up some solar walkway lights. We put those out and replaced our American Flag. The boys did a nice little flag ceremony and we remembered those that we had lost. When I was looking at the solar lights I found ONE of a little yellow lab holding a lantern. It resembles Tuffy so I had to buy it to put on the dog's grave. Nick was happy. I also picked up a few things for our trip and lots of odds and ends that we needed. While it doesn't seem that I was too busy I guess that we got a lot accomplished anyway.

By the way I highly recommend placing a can of diced potatoes on aluminum foil and add butter and garlic powder. Close it up into a tight packet (I usually double up the foil for safety). Cook that on the grill while your cooking your meat (it may take a bit longer then the meat). They were soooo yummy.

As of tomorrow I HAVE to go back on my diet. I need to lose 12 lbs in 54 days so I'd better get my butt in gear, literally

Kyle and I just got back from POTC3. I thought it was very good! I have to say this though, because it's pretty much consuming me at the moment ...

I have TOTALLY been an Orlando Bloom girl since the days of hot-elf.com ....

but oh my gosh did he look amazing at those scenes towards the end of the movie (no spoilers, I hope you know to what scenes I'm referring)

i had my interview today instead of tomorrow. dany had to help out at another store so did it today. i thought it went well but we will see.

theresa and elizabeth for you cats to scratch on walmart has some scratch boxes that work well to protect your furniture from get scratched up. hudini loves it. he even sleeps on it sometimes.

Tom - I'm so glad to hear some encouraging news about your mom

Jo - You have a right to be proud, but you don't look old enough to have a daughter that age.

Well it has been over 24 hours and my neighbors still have not returned, our guests have taken to our yard quite well, here's a snapshot we took earlier today,

Theresa I hope your new family member adjusts quickly, just remind Abi that cats are very independent and they have to think that everything they do it their idea.

For those of you getting drenched in Texas I wish you could send the rain over this way, my yard is turning yellow from lack of rain. I put the sprinklers on today, hopefully that will help.

Jo - Maybe there is hope for DS after all! I have his school uniforms in the dryer right now. I was thinking I can just put them up until August. Maybe he will outgrow them! That would be miraculous!

Debbie - DH just saw the pic of the kitties and he said he would have driven to your house to get one if we didn't already have Arabella. With gas over $3 per gallon perhaps it is better that he isn't going to drive to your house!

Well, I loved the LOTR books so I definitely liked the movie. But either way, yes, he was most certainly in it! At least you knew to which movie I was referring! If you can be sexy with long girly hair, pointy ears and the most boyish face ever, that's saying something!

DS was watching some show on the History Channel about the technology in Star Wars and whether or not those things are possible. Now he has decided he is bored with that. But there is another Star Wars show coming on about the 30th anniversary so he may end up back on History Channel in a few minutes. We bought advance tickets to the big Star Wars exhibit coming to the Ft. Worth Museum of Science next month. DS's "uncle" who is giving him all the vintage toys is obviously a big fan, so we are all going together. Even DH will get to go because he will FINALLY have days off again!
