Elizabeth -- YAY! for a decision!! I am glad you made one that makes you all happy. MomBoss sounds scared to me. I hope she will be fine tomorrow morning.

Elin, I have to admit that Mr. Depp's appeal is only truly seductive when he is a pirate. As Willy Wonka he was scary. And even as a brooding young cop on 21 Jump Street he didn't do much for me. Though I do sort of like Edward Scissorhands...

Thanks, Janet!:)

Hopefully Momboss will get over it. She should channel all that energy into finding a new nanny. If she stays mad I guess I will be unemployed for awhile!:confused3 Good thing DH is pulling all those extra shifts. But I doubt that Dadboss will let her fire me since they really need me to stay. My notice is actually one day short of 5 weeks, which I don't think is unreasonable AT ALL.

ESPECIALLY since you would not have had to look for a new job if they had not changed their requirements for your employment!

I see even less appeal as Jack! But I have to admire his acting talent as a character actor.

I know this is difficult for her. It just boggles me how she can remember things so differently. Was she thinking our "deal" was that I solemnly swear to turn down each and every job that starts prior to Sept. 1? I never said I would stay all summer. I said I would TRY. And I said I would keep them informed and that I wouldn't quit without notice. So I don't understand what I have done that was so underhanded.

I am very happy with my decision. I know I will like this family, and I will like being allowed to go to Chuck E. Cheese and Friday Nanny Breakfast and everything else that I do now. Friday Nanny Breakfast is one of my favorites. We choose a restaurant and invite all the nannies and charges in our group. Whoever is available shows up. Some of the time we have kids with us, sometimes it's just nannies. It's great. My friend who nannies a 6 mo. old is thrilled that I will be able to go out and do things with her even though the kids aren't the right ages to play together. We can still go strolling or to the zoo or something where all of the kids will enjoy it.:)

Tammi - how was lunch with Nicholas? Thanks once again for checking my passes for me and buying the GOH badge for my nephew. :)

Glynis - I am glad you are feeling better this morning. How sweet of Katie to take over and make sure her mama was OK. I cannot believe you leave for DL in less than 2 weeks.

I don't get what you all see in Mr. Depp but I an impressed that Alan knows how to give his wife a great present after 17 years! Congrats, by the way.

I don't get what they see either.....

Right. That was entirely their thing, but I didn't quit right then and there when they said my job was ending! I think that's what makes Dadboss a really successful businessman. He doesn't freak out, he is very cool about things, and he is reasonable. He makes me mad because he is late all the time, but he is never unfair. I can't think of a single thing in the past 3 years that he has done that was unfair. He was 100% honest about how the job would be changing and the timeline, and he knew I probably wouldn't make it all the way to the end of the summer. Like I said, I interviewed with a guy from his office! If I had accepted that job the start date would still be June 25.

I see even less appeal as Jack! But I have to admire his acting talent as a character actor.

He's interesting. I actually saw Orlando Bloom on Jay Leno and I found him far more attractive as a guy than a pirate.:confused3 Weird.

I think I'll go watch the news. Maybe I'll have a little snack. I haven't been hungry since sometime last week - all this job stuff has totally ruined my appetite. Too bad I don't have any cake!;)

Elizabeth-glad you came to a decision that will make you happy. Momboss just doesn't know what she's going to do without you...I think she thought that you would make it through summer, just because she wanted you to.

Jo-the CCR concert sounds awesome!!

I don't think that it hurts that I mention my "crush" every time I see a POC commercial. I also have an insane crush on Hugh Jackman. My guess is that if POC3 wasn't coming out right at our anniversary, he would have rented Kate and Leopold to watch with me!

Thanks! It's always amazing to me that it's been 17 years! I still picture us the way we were 17 years ago, so it's kind of a shocking number to me!

I agree 100%. My favorite Depp is Capt. Jack! Next, Edward Scissorhands.
Chocolat comes third, and everything else comes after that. I really loved him in Chocolat! So romantic!!! That is my all time favorite Valentine's Day movie!

Good night, my friends! I'm off to work on some SSP's for Robyn and Jennifer, and then to bed! See ya, tomorrow!

Jo-the CCR concert sounds awesome!!

Please pardon my ignorance but who or what group is CCR?? This has been bugging me since last night.

Elizabeth- Glad to hear you made a decision.

Glynis and Deb glad you are feeling better.

wow!! I feel old....it didn't help that "Duck" was asking me names of 80's bands....he knew the songs, just not the bands. When we went into Hard Rock the hostess looked at me like all 4 of the kids were mine....I told Jim only he was old enough for that. :rotfl2:

Evening everyone!!! Here's a quick teaser - flowers from the Desert!

:lmao: :rotfl:

I have heard of the group and know some of their songs. The CCR reference was throwing me off.

You are not old. You are only the age that you act.:thumbsup2

welcome back Chanon.
