:woohoo: :woohoo:

I posted this on the weight loss thread but I just had to come here & say..

This was my first week at Weight Watchers & I lost 5.8 lbs!:woohoo:
The meeting leader was great, liked her more than the one last week) very "real" if that makes sense. Unfortunately I cannot attend that particular meeting every week (Dana is working from home today so I went) I hope I can find a nice group. :yay:

We are going to see Meet the Robinsons today...it got 3 1/2 stars!!!:dance3:
Looking forward to it.

Have a great day DDA!!!

I have spent all morning going through our pictures from Europe. I have weeded out the bad ones & the duplicates. Now I just need to load them to photobucket & then I can share them with you all. Photobucket will be a little time consuming

I need to get moving & run some errands. Gary has a flat tire, so we need to get that fixed & Garrett needs grey baseball pants. Seems he needs a different color every year.

Jen I was happy to read that Alex is back to work, how wonderful!

Ellen I agree with everyone else. Your dh needs to talk to ds about this, it will make him feel much better.

Tammi glad Bob was not scared away after you told him about us :rotfl:

Well, I made it, but barely! I definitely got my exercise in today as I was mowing as quickly as I could. Since I had to take Kassie to dance today (Kristi started training for what will hopefully be her new job :woohoo: ). I couldn't start until almost 11. By then the sky was already darkening and the temps were dropping some. It started raining on me about halfway through the backyard. Before I could even finish my shower afterward it was thundering and absolutely pouring! It's done though. :faint:

Tia did I read that you are going to DL :yay:

For a day yes! And that day may get to be my birthday!! If not, then the day before. The in-laws want to see Terra so they are flying us out for Mother's Day. Got to get our must dos in mind since we'll only have the day!

Sounds like so much fun!

Very handsome! :thumbsup2

Tammi - Good for you for conquering the weed whacker!

Anne Marie - Congrats on your weight loss! And Daniel is such a cutie! I am looking forward to meeting all of you in August!

This morning was interesting. It didn't start off bad, though. Momboss wanted Brother to have a haircut, and one of Sister's friends called her to come over and play. Got them dressed, dropped off Sister, got Brother in for a haircut, picked up Sister, came back home. Housekeepers were still here. I started TRYING to pull stuff out to pack, but by then Brother was VERY cranky. I put him in his bed. He got out. I put him back, he got out again. He wanted a video. Fine. But not that video, and not in the living room. So round and round we went. In the meantime Sister fell asleep in her bed. I finally got Brother settled, finished packing Sister's things, packed Brother's things, put another load of laundry in, folded the sheets that the housekeepers left in the dryer, and here I am. Both kids are out cold, and they can stay that way for awhile.

The Taekwondo thing is going to drive me to drink. Momboss said now Dadboss isn't taking Sister. I have to take her, and he will meet me there. Hmm. So then what? Do I have to bring the kids home before I can go home myself? Because Taekwondo is like 2 blocks from my house, and the class ends 10 minutes before I get off! It would be SO much better if he brings the kids home. But we shall see. I got to leave 30 minutes early yesterday, so I bet that will somehow swing around to bite me even though it isn't supposed to work like that.

DS has the math portion of the TAKS (state test) today. I hope he does well. Math is not his thing. DH is on vacation starting today. If we had known I was going to be off we probably would have planned a trip! Well, actually we had talked about going to visit my mother, but that didn't happen. Then we thought we were going to have friends in town, but now they are getting here late Thursday and going home Saturday. Maybe DH and I can get some stuff to the storage unit and get the new computer situated.

I just found out that my composition student, Patrick, has been chosen to play his most recent piece at Yamaha's National Music Camp to be held in California in July. It is to be a secret for a little while yet, so don't tell anyone, OK? ;)

This means I need to start looking for airfare to the LA area. Looks like Biola University can be reached best from Long Beach Airport, but LAX, Orange County, Burbank and Ontario Airports are also possibilities.

I know that SW flies into some of these. Any ideas what other low-cost airlines use these airports?

I'd check out John Wayne airport. It's so small that it's a lot easier to get around in than LAX.

Are you going to try to squeeze in a trip to DL?

ETA: Whoops! Guess I should have looked closer at your ticker, huh? Yay, for coming to Disneyland!!!!!

I may try that and see if I can get a great rate for the whole trip. Otherwise I think we will be stuck with National as they are onsite though Alamo is too

Deb, if you are picking up the car at the airport, go with National over Alamo unless the price difference is significant. Every time we have been at MCO, there have been no lines at National and long lines (45+ minutes sometimes) at Alamo. They are owned by the same company.

Also, last time we rented at the airport and dropped at the Dolphin. The car care center is also an option for pick-up/drop-off at Disney, but the rates were cheaper to drop at the Dolpin for some reason.

Miles told me when he was going to bed that his tummy hurt. Being the wonderful mother that I am, I told him it would feel better after he was sleeping. :rolleyes1 He is fine this morning.

Hunter was fine this morning too. My DB and DSIL are now both sick though

Congrats on the weight loss. That is a huge amount for one week.

Anne Marie, you have a very handsome son!

I came home for 15 minutes before heading to the track meet, because I wanted to be sure that Miles stayed after school for Art Club. Dh is at work until he picks Miles up, and I was afraid that if I didn't come home, there would be a cancellation or something.

I won't be able to get back on here today.

Have a great afternoon/evening, everyone! I'll try to pop on in the morning. It all depends on what gets done tonight.

He is a very handsome young man. Boy, don't they grow up quickly.

Speaking of growing up. Today is my mother's birthday and it is a big one too. She isn't taking it too well though she doesn't look nearly as old as she is. So I have been telling everyone all day that she is turning 45. Of course that means that she was 8 when she had me, but it's not so hard on her ears :rotfl: :rotfl:

first i am gonna say this is kind of a vent but i would also like suggestions and opinions from ya'll too. i am so ready to get out of my parents house. my mom has this constant attitude that everyone/everything is out to get her. examples: she was looking for her checkbook a few weeks ago after getting home from running errands. well it wasnt in her purse, i told her could it be in the car or in one of the bags. she snapped at me and was like why would it be in there i wouldnt put it there. she looked and lo and behold it was in a bag. she also jumps down my back for stupid stuff. also i am trying to get rid of stuff from my room but she is making me let her look at the stuff i wanna get rid of because she wants to keep it. i wanna go through my closet top shelves that have junk like plastic pumpkins, easter baskets, stuff of moms, or stuff when i was a child that i wanna get rid of. we dont use the pumpkins or the baskets so why keep them. there are no kids in the immediate future. ugh!!!! thats why i go and get rid while shes at school. heehee. she gets pissed so easily and when she does i try and stay far away or out of ear shot. i have noticed her attitude is rubbing off on me now. lately i have noticed that i have been getting upset because i want a job but it doesnt seem to be working out because i only can make so much and those jobs are jobs i really dont wanna do. 2 weeks ago i was running around doing things i needed to do that the next week i got sick so that makes me think if i get a full time job i am gonna be sick all the time. so that has made me want to look for some type of job i can do at home so i dont get super run down that i would get sick. i ask my parents to give me ideas of things i could do and they never give me feedback. i have thought of doing gift baskets but then where do i store everything how can i get everything on very low income i do get. i wanna start working asap because i NEED to move out so i dont get sucked in to my moms realm of thinking. sorry for the vent/randomness of this post. if you have ideas/opinions please post them.

Did I tell you all I am a Killer.

Last today I took out another wasp nest!
