What color were the girls gown's?
What a very pretty girl you are.

Oh, you asked for it, Heidi! I wanted my sister in navy & white gingham and my bridesmaids in yellow and white. What I ended up with was brown and white swiss and peach and white swiss. I was carrying daisies and yellow roses, no matter what and those were the only colors of fabric that we could fine during my spring break from college that would go with those flowers.

They guys are wearing brown tuxes with "harvest gold" shirts!

We were married at 10:00 in the morning and I was a bit of a hippie back then, so this actually worked out well for a morning wedding. And I can honestly say that my bridesmaids and sister wore their dresses again.

The new car is fun. It is all "keyless", so you don't actually use the key to do ANYTHING. The remote can stay in my purse the whole time! There is a push button on the exterior door handle that you just push and the door unlocks (but you have to be near it with the remote). Once you are IN the car you push a button to start the engine. My purse was in the back seat when we went to dinner and the car started just fine. Kind of trippy. If I am outside of the car and the key is inside the car will not lock, so it is impossible to lock the keys inside.

I never heard of such a thing but it sounds pretty cool. Congrats on the new car.

Ooooh! A date! With whom? We want to know about him NOW. Then we will evaluate the date on Monday evening!
Well, his name is Stephen, 42, has 2 DDs 10 and 14. Anything else? I will find out on Monday how much he likes disney! :thumbsup2

Sister was looking at my wedding pic one day and she said "Is that when DH had HAIR?!" She is just fascinated by the fact that he is nearly bald. He shaves what little hair he still has down to peach fuzz.

The other day "Arthur" was on and in that episode the kids all had head lice. Sister said "Well DH wouldn't get them because he doesn't have any hair. They need hair to make a little house, right?" She is pretty funny!:rotfl:

Is he still married?:rotfl2: (Only half kidding, because one of my friends had a habit of dating married men.)
How long has he been divorced? What does he do for a living? Is he allowed unsupervised visits with his girls? (Again, I ask because I know a woman who was dating a guy who was NOT allowed unsupervised visits with his own kids.) What happens if you Google search him? How did you meet him? Does he come with references?

So I got this in my email from my Aunt, after the initial tears I thought of Daniel and hoped that he something similar.

That is so touching. Thanks, Becky.

Guess what?!

I've got a date!!! Well, not a date date, but a coffee date, Monday morning while the kids are at school. What does one wear on a coffee date?

Please, weather gods, do not send the storm that they are forecasting. My kids NEED to go to school on Monday!!!!

WHOO HOO! :woohoo: Are you going to Hyperion? And so I know this guy?!?!? If the kids are home from school I will come play with them so you can go. Of course, I might tell them where they are going for the weekend... :rolleyes1

I was hoping no one would ask this question.

I'm actually giving the online dating thing a try. Kristine is my mentor.

Well, I hope he turns out to be worth a second meeting anyway. I bet it's pretty scary. Did you get to see a picture? References?

My mom tried the online dating thing for a while after my Dad died. That really freaked me out, not because I didn't want her to meet someone, but only because she is my Mom and she is old. It just seemed weird to me.

Ok, those will be questions #2 and 3, right after the Disney one. Trust me, I'm well aware of what to be on the lookout for. He has already asked me if I want his SSN to run a background check! :thumbsup2

OK, now he DEFINITELY needs references. We have county records in a searchable database where you can see if someone really is divorced. Online dating is how my friend met many of her married suitors. They all had wives who were frigid and uncaring or some variation of that.

I really hope he is a nice guy! Momboss has a friend who (last I heard) was happily dating a pilot she met online.

Just be careful, because my father was meeting women online and he was NOT a nice guy. He was also NOT divorced when he started. I am about 50/50 on good stories vs. scary stories from online dating, so I need some convincing that this is a good idea!

Yep, I've seen his picture, but unfortunately no references.
