The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

So we bought a new car today.:drive:

It is a 2007 Nissan Altima. Dark grey. I looked at the '06 and was NOT impressed - my 2003 looked nicer as far as interior, and the body style wasn't drastically different, either. The '07 has MUCH better safety features, and the price they wanted for the '06 wasn't that great. We would have only lowered our payments by $30 per month! Now our payments are $25 MORE, but we will own the car at the end. And we might refinance to shave a few dollars off - the interest rate sounds high to me, but the other place I called could only beat it by 1%, so I want to look a bit more.

They told us they only made a profit of $32 on our purchase. I don't believe that for a second, but whatever. Sister gets to ride to Tae Kwon Do in the NEW car! I had to take DH's car to pick them up at preschool because we weren't through all the paperwork yet. I KNEW they couldn't get us in and out in 2 hours. DH stayed there and signed everything, then he brought the car to me. Brother is at a school thing wiht Dadboss, so he will have to wait until Monday for his first ride.:)

Till it turns green

JK:rotfl: If it goes past the by date, I toss it out. Usually though it does not last that long around here, the boys eat it up pretty quick.

Hey all, how long do you keep your lunch meat for?

Yep, that's what my dr told me.

I was just kidding on the prediction. I am secretly hoping for another girl. It's not uncharted territory. Although Eric and my dad would be devastated!

Here's my opinion from someone who has both: boys are easier than girls! I love my girls, don't get me wrong, but Jacob was hands down my easiest child! It's also a lot easier to get boys ready for school than girls. However, another girl would be great, too!

Whatever you have, we want this baby to be healthy, and you too! Take care of yourself!

You were a young thing! My mother-in-law turned 18 about 2 weeks before they got married, and she was done having babies by the time she was 21! I was a matronly 24 before I was married.

My Grandma 1st got married at 16, as she was pregnant with my Mom. Got divorce and remarried and had 2nd child at 21. Although she might have thought she was finished having kids at that point she wasn't and had her 3rd and last child 14 years later.

Her first grandchild me, came along 5 years later when she was 40.

Glynis - Flat Stanley arrived today! When does he need to be back? Has he been to WDW?

I meant to tell you about him. He has not been to WDW, and doesn't need to be back for a couple of weeks or so. Whenever you can! I hope it's not too much trouble. I'm such a scatterbrain!

By the way, Deb, there's a Flat Stanley coming your way from Jacob, too! Hope that's ok.

I submitted my story, good luck to everyone else that enters!

Yes opened and I do toss it after a week, so what is left from last Friday needs to go today.
Thanks, just wanted to make sure I wasn't throwing it away too soon.

Open? If it is open you are supposed to toss it after 7 days.

Thanks for the info on the cake Theresa

Congrats on the new car Elizabeth

I'm loving all the wedding photos, I guess I might have to pull a couple out and scan them. The photos from my first wedding are in storage, I never threw them out as they have friends and family in them, I figure maybe one day my daughter will want them.

My second wedding was really small and we had it at my in-laws house. I really didn't do any planning, they did it all and it was great, completely stress free, and 21 years later we are still married. The first one didn't even last two years and my parents were still paying on the wedding when the divorce was final.

Glynis - I keep meaning to ask you....

Can you recommend any good fondue recipes? Terra and I got one with a Christmas exchange and she is excited to use it. She wants to do something chocolate first and then something with cheese. What do your kids like to do?

Thanks!

We started doing fondue au chocolat (no idea if I've completely butchered that or not :rotfl: ) when Matthew was in French I. His teacher did it at least once a marking period. I will have to look for the recipe. Most of them contain liquer, but we had one that was mostly chocolate and cream.
