Our tree is still up. I told Momboss we are going to get a storage unit, and she said we are welcome to put our stuff in the pool house or the garage. Well, the pool house had mice this summer. I don't want mice in my Christmas stuff! And when Grandpa was living in the pool house he smoked in there, so I bet it smells of smoke. (Or it might smell of dog, because the previous owners kept their dogs in the pool house.) I never go out there. The housekeepers have a bad habit of leaving the garage door open, so I would worry about our stuff being stolen out of the garage. We really need a storage unit.

Well the weather man yesterday morning was a little off.
It did rain yesterday and today but no winter mix.
Was low 40's yesterday and 50º today.

our temp is 40.1 and dropping. it stopped raining for now, it had stopped for awhile then rained again.

And here is the one I didn't enter. I decided that it was too complex to be a "logo" but looking at the others in the poll, I think I should have gone with this one.

I think that your designs were better than several of the ones that did make it. I felt the same way with the dress selections before. It is so hard to know what a panel would like. I really think it's just dumb luck.

We have Little Brownie Baker. Do you? If so, have you tried the Brownies? I'm wondering how they are. I am very happy that the recipes have been adjusted so that they now have 0g trans fats. There is still partially hydrogenated oil way down on the list so it does technically have something, but less than .5g is much better than the 3g or so last year.

Vicki might have tried them as she has Little Brownie, I have ABC.

We finally got our Disneyshopping order. The Mickey Tree topper was broken in a lot of little pieces I guess I need to ship it back. My question is do they reimburse for me shipping it back? If not it may be cheaper to just order another one.

I dont think so, but if you email them and tell them the problem you never know.

Becky - does the troop get the money? Bernadette - Can Lizzy opt for "Cookie Dough" or something similar? Around here if you sell at the 2nd prize level or higher, the individual girl can choose "Cookie Dough" instead of the prized. They get a certain amount per 50 boxes sold (or something like that). That money can then be used towards camp, council events, activities, etc. Nice for the families that can't really afford some of the extras though a bonus to the troop sounds good too.

The $1 is completly for the troop, the girls still get a patch if they sell 12 or more boxes, last year it was 25 and many people complained. They also are eligible for another patch if they sell at 2 cookie booths. Also once they hit the 100 box level, they have patches at 50 level increments saying they sold 100+, 150+, etc.

They offer the cookie dough here, once you sell 100 boxes or more, but if the troop selects the $1.00 a box for the older girls, the girls are not eligible for the prizes including that.
