The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

I think I need to program all of the DDA's numbers into my phone. as I called Channon but her cell went to voice mail. then I tried the number that was in my phone for vicki it went to voice mail, next came Deb also voice mail the last one was Elizabet. I only had hers because I was going to try to meet her in dec. but that didn't happen luckily she answered.

I just missed your call by a few seconds. I was at work. I could have had Chris post though. Sorry.

I got 2 emails confirming my reservations. I've never gotten those before. It says I need to call if I want a hardcopy mailed. Its nice to have the confirmation immediately.

I will be around tomorrow until about Noon then I'm off to my cousins funeral. I should be back in the evening. I'm trying to decide whether to take Colby with me or not. He has been a very naughty boy the last week and I decided not to leave him with our Friend as no one should have to deal with the little stinker except me. My SIL ended up taking the afternoon off to take care of her kids and she has offered to keep him as well. I just worry that he won't behave. I know that he has tested the he ll out of me for the last 7 days. It is a closed casket and my aunt and uncle would probably love to see him. He would probably like to meet some of his cousins too. Such a dilema. I guess I'll see what tomorrow brings.

not to worry. I figured you were at work. The funny thing is that I had called and left a message on Channon's cell earlier in the day for a friend. about 10 minutes after I talked to Elizabeth she called me back.

I think that I should head to bed too. I think my body is angry with me tonight. I had bbq pulled pork for dinner. It was so good, you know the kind of good that you know cannot be good for you. I think my body has adjusted to low fat and it was too fatty for me. I have a tummy ache and I'm a bit dizzy too. Hopefull I'll feel better tomorrow.

Beth - I might be able to do ToT in honor of Laura's B-day. And if it is REALLY hot outside I might even do Splash. None of us have ever been on it because I can not stand to get wet, and the lines are usually long if it is warm enough to consider getting splashed. Of course DS will be happy to take a spin on the People Mover.

Jennifer - I am glad I got your call! I had just spoken to DH and I figured he was calling back to tell me something he forgot. I always answer my cell during the day, unless it is in the car and I am in the house. I am sorry you are having to go through this! Your poor aunt & grandmother!

Bernadette - The e-mail confirmations must be new!

Deb - Good luck with the Colby/funeral decision! Brother & Sister both came flying out of bed at 9:30 when their parents came in, so no telling what time they will go to sleep. Brother was HORRIBLE yesterday afternoon because he was up too late Tuesday night.

I almost made it through high school, but then I met Chris Wouldn't you know that I'd find Mr. Right in high school? We were engaged on Christmas of my Freshman year of college. Chris was a junior in High School I guess some things are just meant to be

I almost made it through high school also...but I also had questions and my mom was way uncomfortable with anything of that and I knew it...I want the girls to know (and I know Cassidy does) that nothing is so uncomfortable that I can't or won't talk with them about.

Jennifer....the autopsy your uncle is standard procedure around here also. How very sad for your grandma....all of her kids are probably her babies.

Before I call it a day I thought I'd give a recap of my day:

Went to work...can't find my keys, the set that I took as backup.

Then I realized I had printed last year's report for the ONLY one that will care or notice on Sunday....got the good one printed.

Can't find anything on my desk....need to find my bulletin cover art for this week....get that one done at 9:45....have not done the calendar and announcement pages yet. FINALLY get those done and go to lunch...the temps drop about 25 degrees in the half hour I am out.

Realize that 4 prior bulletins...with all the info I need on them have disappeared....still can't find them/

Had a wonderful meeting with a new coworker...whose also a friend. She is our new Senior Adult Ministries Director. The previous one has changed jobs and doesn't like Beth in his old job...tough noogies. The thing is is he isn't very nice to Beth. Told another coworker to reign Herb in because he's putting me in the middle and he will be sadly disappointed when I get tough with him because I think he's being a jerk.

Came home and nothing really changed...though I've got to decide whether to keep my wonderfully colored if not best fitting bowling shoes.

What is normal again?????

I am headed out the door to drop Emma off at school and then turn around and pick her up in an hour as she has a dr's appointment for her eyes, I suspect glasses are in our future. She also has her first spelling test today, hence the reason for the hour of school!

their is going to be an autospy and a detective is asigned to the case. This is aparentaly standard when someone dies at home. The dective is just making sure their is no foul play. The ambulance personal said it was probally a heart attack in his sleep. He would have been 58 in march.

My grandmother just kept saying my baby, my baby. He was not her youngest, he was the second oldest, but she has always called him her baby.

she is staying at my parents for a couple of days. we have to wait for the coronor to release the body before we will know when the funeral is.
