Vicki, my Mom was like that. She hated funerals. We didn't go to my grandmother's (her MIL) funeral. In fact, I'm trying to remember a funeral she attended. I'm drawing a blank.... She didn't want a funeral either. And she definitely didn't want to be buried. Which is why she is sitting on my mantle...

I'm off to bed too. I've had a long day.

Jeff and I both voted for Angela Hacker. last year I had a hard time deciding because I liked 2-3 to start. We both liked the winner last year. can't say the same for a couple of other years.

Laura's favorite ride is Tower of Terror, but TTA and Splash Mountain come in very close. (And I'll work on that lottery win!)

OK-TTA I can do. I really don't like ToT and bearly tolerate Splash. Ann Marie or Elizabeth can you do those for Laura?

We were down May 18-22 last year and it was hot, and the last few days it got really oppressive in the afternoon.

Here's a good plan......tell your DH that you are taking your co-worker with you because you have a newly divorced DDA friend that is going to be there the same time and you want to introduce him to her.

You think my DH would buy that one? My coworker is such a nice guy. He's around 35-never married. Really shy. I think it would have to be one of those bump into you meets with him.

Well, is is 8:40 and Terra has been asleep for over 2 1/2 hours now. The pipe dream I have is that she will sleep through...oops nevermind. Guess I shouldn't have typed that as she just woke up. Oh well, now I wonder how late I'll be up tonight.

Maybe she & Emma should get together for late night playdates. I swear Emma is an energizer bunny. She just doesn't need a lot of sleep.

ugh..we just got the phone call from my grandma..were going to have to be at the hospital at 6, which means leaving here at 515 tomorrow morning..do not know how ill function! Its going to be a LONG day tomorrow

their is going to be an autospy and a detective is asigned to the case. This is aparentaly standard when someone dies at home. The dective is just making sure their is no foul play. The ambulance personal said it was probally a heart attack in his sleep. He would have been 58 in march.

My grandmother just kept saying my baby, my baby. He was not her youngest, he was the second oldest, but she has always called him her baby.

she is staying at my parents for a couple of days. we have to wait for the coronor to release the body before we will know when the funeral is.

I really, really, really want to go. I think chances are better than 50% that I will go on some sort of trip in late April/early May.

okay I am trying to decide if I should go to work tomorrow. funeral leave does not cover aunts and uncles.

It was the same in my house growing up & then raising the girls differently. It was such a secretive thing growing up that I figured it was shameful. I also didn't want my girls being naive. I was almost date raped in college because I didn't realize I was putting myself into a dangerous situation. So many jokes that I didn't get because I was so naive. I can't imagine how many people must have been laughing at me. It's just always been a part of our life with the girls. Katrina made it through high school and a couple of years of college and I think Becky is going to at least make it through high school.

I almost made it through high school, but then I met Chris Wouldn't you know that I'd find Mr. Right in high school? We were engaged on Christmas of my Freshman year of college. Chris was a junior in High School I guess some things are just meant to be

Can you believe that in Vermont standard licenses do not have a picture? Therefore we can always renew through the mail. If however you want a Picture license you have to go to the DMV or a mobile DMV center and pay extra for it. Yep, Vermont is a little backwards

I probably should have had my photo retaken for my most recent renewal but I couldn't make myself go if I didn't have to. When I had the photo taken in 1999 I was 9 months pregnant with Lizzy. After waiting a good hour for my turn I really needed a restroom and when I asked the DMV clerk where the ladies room was she nastily told me they didn't have public restrooms. She told me I could find one several blocks down the street. This was just before she took my photo. I was so mad. Now everytime my kids see my license they ask why I wasn't smiling.

I think I need to program all of the DDA's numbers into my phone. as I called Channon but her cell went to voice mail. then I tried the number that was in my phone for vicki it went to voice mail, next came Deb also voice mail the last one was Elizabet. I only had hers because I was going to try to meet her in dec. but that didn't happen luckily she answered.

I got 2 emails confirming my reservations. I've never gotten those before. It says I need to call if I want a hardcopy mailed. Its nice to have the confirmation immediately.

Yes, you do need a photo id to fly. Most bars also require a photo id. Most people have them, the state just gets extra money for the picture license.
