I just received this from my DD.
This is my great nephew Remeil.
His Grandmother would be so proud.
I lost my dear sister in law 7 years ago.

I also received some news from my youngest DSD.
I'm going to be a SGM again.
Her 1st, she is due in August.
I asked if she had told her Dad.
Answers yah I sent him a e-mail.
She hasn't always been close to him.
Her & I have always been close.
Congratulations Jo!!!

I am so tempted to call Tammi, but I know that she is in bed. She could fly her whole family for less Than $50 with taxes.

Deb
Hhmmmm....I wonder if I could then get a rental that would keep me ahead of the game????

I really need some help DDA..

My DS told me that the only thing the baby will be able to do is go to Playhouse Disney. My DGS will be 16 months during the trip. My older grandson was 13 months old during his first trip to Disney. He had a ball. He was very socialized though. He was in daycare at 3 months old. I remember that Playhouse Disney was the highlight, but I know there were other things he could do.

I swear, I am having a brain freeze!!

Add to this... my son's son has never been without his daddy. Ever. Not so they could go to a movie. Not so they could go to dinner. He is a SAHD and doesn't do playdates. I don't think my DGS has ever seen any other children except his cousins.:scared1: :scared1: O M G!!!! What am I going to do????

It is not like I will be able to watch baby K while his parents go on an attraction without him. My only hope will be if he is asleep in the stroller. And if he wakes up and they are not there... the Disney CMs will think I'm abducting him! I mean, he doesn't cry, he wails as if his heart is breaking... face all wet... and that is when I put him on my lap and his hand is still on my son's lap!! I must be nuts!!!

I went to visit them on Sunday. Baby K would not come near me, as usual. He would smile and my and wave at me from his dad's lap or shoulder, but if I even looked like I was going to pick him up WAAAAHHHHHHHHH.

So here is my problem. My son put his foot down. No fireworks for them. No commando marching through the parks! Baby K will be back to the villa by 7:30 so he can unwind, get his bath and be asleep by 8:00. Dinner will be 5:30 at the latest. No problem. He wants to spend a couple of days enjoying the villa, going to the pool and playground, sitting in the sand. He said he and his wife will go to Pleasure Island maybe 1 or 2 nights. (they can get the boat from OKW) then I can pop out and fluff the pillow for you. Otherwise.... no....

Help me. What have I done?????popcorn:: popcorn::
Steffy, it sounds to me like your DS has done more harm that good to the baby. It's one thing to be a SAH parent, but IMO the child needs to be socialized. Unfortunately it's out of your hands. I know you want to experience wdw through the eyes of your DGS and it doesn't seem like you are going to be able to. I don't have any advice, other than to let you DS do what it is that he wants to do. Otherwise it may just create friction. I hope you are still able to enjoy the trip! Good luck.

Janet - I like your new siggy pictures.

Jennifer - cute pictures of Olivia. Thanks for sharing.

BTW.........

I'm in the single digits!!!!!!

 :yay: :cheer2: :dance3: :cool1:

Janet, Good thoughts for Robin and her family and for you too. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

On the way to Marquette this morning, I called a friend who is also one of my staff. She was tracking the temp on her car. It hit -2 before she got to work. It was very cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess who forgot to take a coat to work? Luckily, I have an emergency kit in my car with my snowmobile suit, gloves, boots & hat. I had went out to warm up the vehicle, and loaded it. Then I finished some things inside the house. I don't like wearing a coat when I'm on a long drive so I just run out of the house to the car when it is time to go since it is already warmed up. However, I forgot to pack the coat! I usually run into buildings without it so I was fine. However, I have it with my stuff for tomorrow so that I don't forget it again.

Vicki,

I hate wearing a coat in general. My mother always told me that was fine if I promised that I had a coat, gloves, and boots in the car (even for around town). You sound like you have even a better emergency kit. Stay warm!

It is 6-degrees here this morning. Now that's more like January! :cold:

Cute little snowman, but I thought that everything is bigger in Texas :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

I just finished an article in the paper that mentioned that some counties in Texas are larger than the state of Rhode Island. I thought of all of our Texan friends here!

Jennifer, I really enjoyed those photos of Olivia playing in the snow! My kids found it amusing that amount of snow caused excitement. Though after this year here...
