We're still on the fence what to do. I did find a cars and trucks quilt at Pottery Barn Kids that is an Internet only pattern but it is quite expensive to do all the pieces. I showed Kyle 3 designs (the Olive Kids, Pottery Barn cars and Pottery Barn trains) and he picked the trains. He does love his GeoTrax trainset that Santa brought but his whole life revolves around cars (especially Yellow Hummers).

I am so torn because I love the Pottery Barn stuff but am not sure if I want to spend the money on it since we have already spent $3K on new furniture and a mattress :scared1:

My son's teacher told me that they had to write a sentence for the 100th day of school and it had to be what they would like a 100 of, most kids wrote jolly ranchers etc, my son wrote 100 hummers!! She said all the kids were so excited and loved it!!!

Wow glad everything fell into place for you. I love spontaneous trips. Of course DH and I have not had a spontaneous trip since baby #1 came along (now 17 years old). I think when they are all grown if we can still get around :rotfl: :rotfl: we might try it again.

HAVE A GREAT TRIP.

I was the queen of spontaneous trips, but haven't done so since we flew to Vegas to get married (long story, but it was actually DH's idea). I'm hoping that Terra likes spontenaity like I do so that I can resume at some point. I can't even get Phil to TRAVEL, let a lone spontaneously.

Hi, everyone. Will have to go back and read to catch up. Feeling better here- FINALLY!

I have something I'd like some advice and feedback on, please. I got a call this morning offering me both prenatal classes each month (instead of just the one I teach currently). If I teach both prenatal classes, I would only make $100 short of what I'm making currently. That's 2 days work a month vs 12 days (plus workshops, etc).

I'm also considering working as a substitute teacher in the public school system where the kids attend starting this fall (if I quit teaching preschool). Then I could sub when I wanted, not have to worry about missing their activities, volunteer at the school, and hopefully not get sick so much. I do enjoy the preschool and like the women I work with, but it is a 40 minute commute and not much money, I'm not sure. BTW, subs make $60 per day up to 10 days, and then it is $70 per day.

Now, if I could just figure out how to sell these shirts (or something else) on Ebay, I wouldn't have to worry about it at all!

And, thanks to Kevin for the inspiration for my new signature. It's definitely my favorite one yet. And yes, my dreams really did come true!

Love your new signature, the picture of the triplets as babies is adorable!!

Reason number 768 that Kate is Queen...She emails DDAers with Ding fares! Thanks to an email from Kate this afternoon that there was a $125 (yes roundtrip!) fare from Providence, Terra and I are headed to WDW this weekend. It was a struggle to make the hotels work, but we worked it out. We are headed out Saturday morning and will be back late on Monday. It will be quick, but SOOO worth it for everyone I think (Phil had another terrible morning so he is ecstatic at the idea of some quiet).

I'm not sure what we're going to do yet, but I'm not too worried. I think we'll just hit our favorites, get some autographs and catch a few parades and fireworks. I'm SO excited!!! :mickeyjum :goofy: :donald:
Congratulations have a great time. :Pinkbounc
Kate :thumbsup2 You can even find cheap airfare. How nice of you to help. :goodvibes

Julie Welcome and love the siggie. :welcome:
Tammi The women in my circle very sweet
Theresa :grouphug: I hope you feel better soon. A funk is hard to dig out of, hopefully you start feeling noticed and appreciated. :flower1:
Brendita Wow Congratulations. party: That was really quick. How is your DS handling it?
Cinderumbrella :sad2: Losing excitement for a Disney trip is very serious. I'm so sorry that DH is having such a hard time. Try to just ignore the inlaws and plan your family a magical trip. :tink: When is your anniversary in 07? Ours is Dec. 6 although we probably won't be there until a week after. My parents and oldest sister and her family are tagging along. When problems arise I tell DH just remember once you get there the magic will help make it all worth the hassle. :cloud9:
:wizard: for everyone who is sick or blue or having vacation troubles. :wizard:

HHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP !!!!!!!

Matt has a brainteaser question for his homework due tomorrow and Paul and I are scratching our heads. Can you please help???

Reese is giving you a puzzle to solve. He says, "It weighs nothing. It can be seen. If it is put in a can, it makes the can weigh less. What is it?"

And the kid is only in second grade!

DH finally told his mom last night that we are going 12/10-12/17. He suggested that they go 12/9 to 12/16 (Sat to Sat) or go 12/10 to 12/16 (Sun to Sat) so she is still back for the week before Christmas at the store and if his sister wants to come with that she is just going to have to change her dates to match our trip or go on her own at the beginning of the month. He reminded her (AGAIN!!!) that this was our vacation that we invited everyone to come along on and we shouldn't have to compromise our dates since we picked them to best meet our needs. He gave everyone 2 weeks to figure out what they want to do because we are booking our trip (Including the non-refundable airfare) at the end of the month.

After talking to her for about 90 minutes last night over the course of 2 phone conversations he looked at me and said he wished he never agreed to go on this trip and is now so anti-Disney that he is trying to nix our plans for our 10th anniversary trip in '07 and for Kyle's bday in '08 :worried:

Sorry this was such a long post but this is causing so much heartache in our house that my excitement for the trip is down to virtually nothing (thank goodness it is 10 months away)

Kristin

Believe it or not, this is good news. Why you say? Because you DH has backed you up with the dates. Those are the dates. He has put his foot down! Drawn a line in the sand. Planted the flag. (oh I could go on and on :lmao: )

If they can come those dates, good. If not, see you later. :woohoo:

Disney is at its best during December. It will be wonderful that time of year. Just wonderful. Soon you will be able to plan your MVMCP, your CP, your days and tshirts...   It will be wonderful. I wish I could go that week, but it is just the worst possible week for me to be off work. :bitelip: :bitelip:

So I'm stuck with the Pop Warner kids. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

My biggest problem is deciding between OKW, SSR, BWV or VWL! :yay:

Denise,
I just started reading the Triplet trouble books with Adam, they are about triplets, 2 boys and a girl, Alex, Adam and Ashley, he seems to be enjoying them and was just in here reading to me so I showed him your new signature.
I think he thinks the books are about your kids. :rotfl2:

OK, this is the reason I wasn't posting last night because the trip drama continues. DH is getting so fed up that he almost wants to cancel the trip outright because he is so sick of all the drama :sad1:

Airfare has finally come down for our original dates of December 10-17. This is when I want to go because it is after Pop Warner and I think it would be a great way to really get in the Christmas spirit just before the holiday. This is also the best time for DH. He is a Civil Engineer for Chicago's largest Road Construction Company and the job he is just about to start has a Nov 30 completion. That gives him 2 weeks for delays, paperwork etc.

When we originally invited DH's parents to come with us, those were the dates. There was never any discussion of it-everything was fine. Fast forward 3 months and DH's sister and her family decide to tag along. They are on a very tight budget so I am surprised they want to come at all. First thing SIL does is demand to change the dates. She wants to go Dec 1-8 (Fri to Fri) so she can be there for her daughter's 2nd birthday. DH does not want to go Fri to Fri because that means he has to use 6 vacation days and not 5 (like we would for our dates 12/10-12/17 Sun to Sun). We do not want to go then because of Pop Warner since we really want to stay at POR again and that is where a lot of the kids are. MIL is now being a pain about the Sun to Sun dates because her work week is Sun to Saturday and she claims that she can only take off for a full week at a time and that would mean she has to take off 2 weeks right before Christmas and the store won't let her (she works for a grocery store). Personally I think this is a bunch of houey :charac2: (did I spell that right? ;) )

Sorry about all the stress. I must say Kudos for DH standing up to his family. That is the right decision. I have faith that you will find the Disney Magic when you go and your dh's attitude will change. Those future trips will happen, but don't even bother worrying about it now. Just plan your first trip and make it magical for your family and let the others do as they wish.

so this is a little frustrating - I found out that Diseny Press only accepts manuscripts through a literary agent -

that just seems like a pain to me!!

What is a girl to do!
Get a literary agent, of course! :teeth:
