Hopefully, this will end up being absolutely nothing, or something easily explainable/treatable, but I could use some good thoughts right now and tomorrow.

Thanks for listening! :goodvibes

:wizard: and :grouphug: and positive thoughts coming your way. Let us know how you get on with the results - and remember we're here if you need anything.

Clare - I just wanted to thank you again for the digiscrapping links the other day. Your layouts were great! I am amazed to know that was your first try. I have spent the last two days downloading freebies from a couple of sites. I always figured that the freebies out there would be simple and not all that great, but I was SO wrong. The "papers", embellishments, etc offered on even the freebies are gorgeous. I am so excited to get started. I figure I'll spend another week or so on downloading and organizing things, plus I need some software.

For anyone interested in digital scrapbooking, but you haven't started yet just search around for the free downloads. They are great!

Thanks Tia  I'm glad you found some good freebies - I couldn't believe the quality either - I think a lot of the time the designers give them out as samples of the stuff they've sold previously - so that you'll come back for more. I'm about to buy my first kit because after a few months searching the shops I've found one that should suit my wedding photos perfectly.

For software I've been using photoshop but you should be fine in Adobe elements or even photoimpact... get a free trial and see what works best for you.

Have fun - and show us the results :goodvibes

My brother and SIL back when they were expecting #1 (they now have 3) they wanted the name Nigel for a boy. Thankfully it was a girl (all 3)! :rotfl2:

I know we have to be careful with baby name stories - don't want to offend anyone... but last year a girl at work had a baby and she called her Summer Breeze... An email went out announcing the arrival and there was a sweep of audible laughter across the office as people read it... Summer? Great name I love it... Summer Breeze? Sounds like the name of a fabric softener... :rolleyes1:

Steffy - so sorry to hear about your colleague's family - that's just awful. Sending :wizard:

I love the shirt Kate designed for you dad :goodvibes:

Kevin and I stopped buying gifts for each other a long time ago (Christmas, birthday, Valentine's, etc.) because we are ALWAYS saving for the next Disney trip. We used to physically buy Disney Dollars to represent what we would have spent on gifts, but now we just exchange cards (Kevin's are usually homemade...mine are usually from Hallmark :teeth: ).

Amy :)
I like this idea the best! :goodvibes

Hey guys,

I could use some prayers and PD. I had some lumps appear on my neck (but under the skin) over the weekend, and went to my dr. today to have them checked out.

Long story short, they did a lot of bloodwork, and I'm scheduled for a sonogram of my neck early tomorrow afternoon. I feel fine, and I think that's mainly what has my dr. concerned, ironically enough. I think it would be much easier to explain this if I were feeling poorly, had other symptoms, etc. I've been a relatively healthy person all my life, and I guess I'm just not used to a dr. not being able to instantly diagnose something - and when he wanted all of this stuff done "immediately", I guess I got a little freaked out. It doesn't help that DH is out of town, and so I'm just sitting here with my thoughts.

Hopefully, this will end up being absolutely nothing, or something easily explainable/treatable, but I could use some good thoughts right now and tomorrow.

Thanks for listening! :goodvibes
Thinking good thoughts for you.:goodvibes Here's some prayers and pixie dust that they are something minor. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Does anyone have any good ideas for an anniversary gift for my dh? I hate having to buy him gifts. He is the hardest to buy for. No hobbies, not into sports, doesn't need clothes. He lives in tshirts and jeans, except for work, which is a uniform. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Would he go to a spa?? For my DH Fathers Day I gave him a gift certificate for 30 minute massage. He still tells stories about it. He said after the message he came home and had a beer and passed out.

Thats. I've been considering finding a trial of Photoshop Elements. (Anyone here use it?) I never got a chance to try Photoimpact because it wouldn't work with my Windows version. If figure I'll just try my hand with the freebies for awhile before I even look in the shops. At least when I was buying paper supplies I would always take them back when I was more reasonable again.

Kate -- wonderful shirt design, as usual!

Clare -- I assume a pencil pot is a holder for pencils?

Steffy -- so sorry about your friends. Hope your dad has a great birthday!

To all that are sick -- Here's more PD and prayers -- :wizard: :wizard: pixiedust: pixiedust:

good morning everyone

Love the Scrooge design. Lots of thought went into it.

No great plans for today. Just going to watch some Hallmark movies on TIVO.

Beth

I'm sure she didn't mean to offend anyone Beth...everyone has different taste in names. Like Clare said, we have to be careful when we get specific, because with all the people on this thread, someone's bound to get upset. :goodvibes

Having taught for nine years, there are a lot of names I simply don't like because I had "rotten" students associated with them. :teeth:
