The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 2

Hey guys,

I could use some prayers and PD. I had some lumps appear on my neck (but under the skin) over the weekend, and went to my dr. today to have them checked out.

Long story short, they did a lot of bloodwork, and I'm scheduled for a sonogram of my neck early tomorrow afternoon. I feel fine, and I think that's mainly what has my dr. concerned, ironically enough. I think it would be much easier to explain this if I were feeling poorly, had other symptoms, etc. I've been a relatively healthy person all my life, and I guess I'm just not used to a dr. not being able to instantly diagnose something - and when he wanted all of this stuff done "immediately", I guess I got a little freaked out. It doesn't help that DH is out of town, and so I'm just sitting here with my thoughts.

Hopefully, this will end up being absolutely nothing, or something easily explainable/treatable, but I could use some good thoughts right now and tomorrow.

I'm working on my taxes.

I'm a tad unfocused tonight. One of the ladies that I work with, two of her relatives ... a mother and child... were killed in a very violent head-on car accident this weekend. The dad is still in a coma. Another child was airlifted to another hospital. I won't post a picture of the car... because there is no happy ending like Deb's .... just too morbid. But think the car that Princess Diana was in, squished more.

So between death and taxes, I'm one unhappy girl tonight....

Sooooooo, I've got to refocus on something good. Need to build a bridge and get over this feeling of helplessness. I've already planned my trip to Disney, now what???

My Dad's 90th birthday party is this weekend. Believe it or not, he has never been to Disney. I just asked my step-mother if I gave them a trip would they go? No.

I'm trying to come up with a tshirt for him... Somehow I have to make a shirt that says he's 90 and never been, however he created a Disney loving DD! Since I am missing the creative gene, this is going to be a challenge!

So to the question, is there anything we can do to help, the answer is yes!! Would you all help me???? Pretty please with cherries on top!!!

I need a shirt for my Dad. Thanks so much!! I know I can count on youse guys

Prayers to your friend and her family. What a sad and horrible story. I hope the dad and child pull through to be there for each other. They will be in my prayers.

I know we have to be careful with baby name stories - don't want to offend anyone... but last year a girl at work had a baby and she called her Summer Breeze... An email went out announcing the arrival and there was a sweep of audible laughter across the office as people read it... Summer? Great name I love it... Summer Breeze? Sounds like the name of a fabric softener... :

Well, we're going! I seriously can't believe it. We've never planned such a spontaneous trip (it's only six weeks away)!

We're staying at POP again (we're on a budget you know ), but we're still getting one AP. It still saves us $83 and we'll have it for baby #2's first trip next winter or spring.

This will be the first trip where we won't make ADRs for every single day...again, a money issue. We'll still have to plan a few character meals, of course, but if anyone could suggest your absolute favorite, yet slightly healthy, counter service, I'd appreciate it. We love Tusker House!

Kate those designs are fantastic!!! If you make them Amy, place them a little lower on your shirt and they will look adorable!

I'm jealous Amy and Kevin! I know we just went, but it seems like the more you go the more you want to go! And I liked the idea of getting rid of the termites while you are down there. Make the Mickey Bar one Amy - I think that will look cute on you!

Everyone go check out this thread anyway and look for Suzanne - post number 3 - she has this amazing picture in her sig of a flower display in a vase - but they're all ariel toppers on sticks! I LOVE it. DH only let me buy one topper last year as he ssaid they'll just get stolen from the car - when I got home I was so worried I took it to work and put it in my pencil pot! Works much better as I get to look at it everyday... but a case full would be so cool

Whenm I go back in December, I'm going to buy all of the toppers I want. Tinker1bell has hers in a vase on her desk. I didn't buy many, because the ones that I had were stolen right off my car! Now I'm going to put them on pencils an d make bouquets!!!
