The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 2

Clare - I just wanted to thank you again for the digiscrapping links the other day. Your layouts were great! I am amazed to know that was your first try. I have spent the last two days downloading freebies from a couple of sites. I always figured that the freebies out there would be simple and not all that great, but I was SO wrong. The "papers", embellishments, etc offered on even the freebies are gorgeous. I am so excited to get started. I figure I'll spend another week or so on downloading and organizing things, plus I need some software.

For anyone interested in digital scrapbooking, but you haven't started yet just search around for the free downloads. They are great!

Hey guys,

I could use some prayers and PD. I had some lumps appear on my neck (but under the skin) over the weekend, and went to my dr. today to have them checked out.

Long story short, they did a lot of bloodwork, and I'm scheduled for a sonogram of my neck early tomorrow afternoon. I feel fine, and I think that's mainly what has my dr. concerned, ironically enough. I think it would be much easier to explain this if I were feeling poorly, had other symptoms, etc. I've been a relatively healthy person all my life, and I guess I'm just not used to a dr. not being able to instantly diagnose something - and when he wanted all of this stuff done "immediately", I guess I got a little freaked out. It doesn't help that DH is out of town, and so I'm just sitting here with my thoughts.

Hopefully, this will end up being absolutely nothing, or something easily explainable/treatable, but I could use some good thoughts right now and tomorrow.

Thanks for listening! :goodvibes

I sure hope you get some good news tomorrow. The waiting is so hard to deal with so maybe they can tell you something tomorrow. Good luck and here is some pixiedust: pixiedust:

Just home. It is Strep and my lungs are all crappy again. I'm on a z-pack, inhalers, and a liquid steroid. She said my throat is almost swollen shut (I've been drooling 'cause I can't swallow well). If it's not better by tomorrow, I may have to do IV antibiotics and steroids. So, I'm going to go take my meds and sit on the couch with the kids. Sure hope DH and the kids don't get it. I have new empathy for all the kids who have Strep (Julia) repeatedly. This really hurts!

I was about 25 the first time I remember having strep (of course I could've had it as a child and blocked out that memory due to pain!). Here's hoping the kids don't get it and that once your pumped with steroids you'll be as good as new.

My friends DIL is wanting to name the baby tiara if it is a girl so we are all praying for a boy or she changes her mind. :rotfl2:

My brother and SIL back when they were expecting #1 (they now have 3) they wanted the name Nigel for a boy. Thankfully it was a girl (all 3)! :rotfl2:

 To all of my sick DDA friends... please get better soon! :wizard: :wizard:

tinker1bell is sick too.

I'm working on my taxes. :headache: :drinking:

I'm a tad unfocused tonight. One of the ladies that I work with, two of her relatives ... a mother and child... were killed in a very violent head-on car accident this weekend. The dad is still in a coma. Another child was airlifted to another hospital. I won't post a picture of the car... because there is no happy ending like Deb's .... just too morbid. But think the car that Princess Diana was in, squished more.

So between death and taxes, I'm one unhappy girl tonight.... :sad1:

Sooooooo, I've got to refocus on something good. Need to build a bridge and get over this feeling of helplessness. I've already planned my trip to Disney, now what???

My Dad's 90th birthday party is this weekend. Believe it or not, he has never been to Disney. I just asked my step-mother if I gave them a trip would they go? No.

I'm trying to come up with a tshirt for him... Somehow I have to make a shirt that says he's 90 and never been, however he created a Disney loving DD! Since I am missing the creative gene, this is going to be a challenge! :surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb: pixiedust:

So to the question, is there anything we can do to help, the answer is yes!! Would you all help me???? Pretty please with cherries on top!!! :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

I need a shirt for my Dad. Thanks so much!! I know I can count on youse guys    :thumbsup2

Get as much rest as possible. I know Strep can be hard to get rid of if you're run down. Sorry to hear it's so severe. :grouphug: Sending prayers that the kids don't catch anything and that you feel better. :wizard:

Does anyone have any good ideas for an anniversary gift for my dh? I hate having to buy him gifts. He is the hardest to buy for. No hobbies, not into sports, doesn't need clothes. He lives in tshirts and jeans, except for work, which is a uniform. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Is he into computer type stuff? My DH doesn't do sports but does do computer techie stuff and gadgets. Otherwise there's lingerie and :love2: . Most men like that.

BTW: Julia LOVED the card you sent me the other day! Being the fashion diva that she is - she thought it was beautiful!!!

Kate I love the design you made for Steffy's dad. It is sooo cute. You are one talented person.

Steffy that is so sad about your friends family. I can see why you would be feeling down. Hope your taxes come out to you liking.

Denise sure hope you feel better soon and the little ones don't come down with it.

Hey Kate -- it looks like you're not alone -- check out this thread...

I haven't read it yet- knowing you, you've probably already posted on it!!

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1022863

Come on Kate - go public on your addicition!

Everyone go check out this thread anyway and look for Suzanne - post number 3 - she has this amazing picture in her sig of a flower display in a vase - but they're all ariel toppers on sticks! I LOVE it. DH only let me buy one topper last year as he ssaid they'll just get stolen from the car - when I got home I was so worried I took it to work and put it in my pencil pot! Works much better as I get to look at it everyday... but a case full would be so cool

I saw that post also and loved the vase and toppers. I think I might get me enough to make me a vase when I get back from my trip. This would make a much better flower arrangement I think. At least they would not die. :rotfl:
