The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 2

Oh no! Is she running a fever? On a few times my kids would break out in a rash if they had a fever....roseola, I think.

Sometimes she will spike a fever in the afternoon. not usually over 101. The Dr. thinks it is all from the virus.

Well the bug got me to I awoke at 5:30 this morning running to the bathroom. I am so weak now, hope everyone else is feeling better. I feel like a truck ran over me

but now you are out of luck - I was going to suggest we take Amy out for lunch one day when you are here in Julu - she will be looking to get out!!

Hey Amy- you should make lunch plans with Nancy on your due date - she has had friends cancel on her numerous times when she has done this - b/c they were in labor!!!

Amy, seriously, we should make a date! I have 2 good friends who did not show up for lunch cause they were in labor! I am a good luck charm for the due date! Now we don't want to make plans too far in advance as you can always hope to go early!!!

I live in the Chicago area and local NBC station has been doing a follow up with a family from Lemont IL that was on Fox's Renovate My Family a couple of years ago. (I don't think the show really caught on so it's not on anymore) Anyway, the house that was built is essentially falling apart and they can't afford to fix it. They got nailed with a huge tax bill and because of the contract the show made them sign they had a hard time even finding a lawyer to help them sue!

Not surprising. How you build anything decent in 7 days????

I just read the Challenger exploded 20 years ago today -

how can it have been that long?

I am getting old - it is one of those moments in my life that you just remember like it was yesterday!!

Good gracious it has been that long!! I remember it because I was home from school on a "mental health" day(home sick from school because I was sick of school). Makes me feel old also.

My Abi finally went back to school today...she still didn't look 100% but she begged to go back. Not going to be happy with Daddy as I told him to go pick her up before Girl Scouts so that she could come home. I would rather her miss GS's than another day of school.

One good thing about hubby losing his job (question: why do they call it losing a job when you know right where it is, you just don't have it anymore?)
is he has been able to stay at home with the munchkin instead of me taking time off from work.

So a bunch of pixie dust for those who are sick and no more passing it around!!

Did anyone watch Dr. Phil yesterday?

did you see the family where their deaf dalmation attacked their daughter and she needed 31 stitches on her face

the dad wants to keep the dog and the mom said no way the dog is coming back in the house -

the husband said that he felt it was not the dog's fault and the mom put their daughter in the dangerous situation and should have been more careful - and that he thinks she just needs to learn how to protect their daughter

Dr. Phil helped them come to a compromise to keep the dog outside until their daughter is older

I got to tell you though - if my DH said on National TV that a dog attacking my child was in any way my fault and that it was me and not the dog that needed to be trained - we would have way bigger issues than whether or not we were keeping the dog!!!!

Sounds like he could talk with this guy about a group discount!!!

Man of the House

The husband had just finished reading the book, "MAN OF THE HOUSE".
He stormed into the kitchen and walked directly up to his wife.
Pointing a finger in her face he said, "From now on, I want you to
know that I am the man of this house and my word is law! I want you to
prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I'm finished eating my meal, I expect a
sumptuous dessert afterward, Then after dinner, you are going to draw
me my bath so I can relax. And when I'm finished with my bath, guess who's
going to dress me and comb my hair?"

His wife replied.

"The funeral director would be my guess"

So here's a great Queen story for allher loyal subjects....
since she is on a current events posting frenzy...

We always called her "WLWKATIE"
WLW is the Talk Radio station in Cincinnati, It is 5000 watts so you can hear virtually all over the midwest. On a clear night we can listen in SC! We used to say if you had news to get out...just tell Katie!!!!!

Sounds like she is trying to keep us all informed!!!!
