That's okay try 19 hours in a car with a 3 year old that is what we are looking at. Airfare 11/27 - 12/4 is over $360 a person.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! :teeth:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Is that a local show or is it national?

It'll be shown statewide in GA and wherever GPTV is broadcast.

Lovespoohbear, hope you don't get sick.

Kristine, glad it went well today. Sending you get well vibes and no more surgery PD!

Lynn, I'll let you know when it's on and any local legislators to contact.

Tink2020, congrats on 2000!

Cinderumbrella, you're as obsessive as I am!

Thanks all for the prayers and PD. BK still had a fever of over 102 at bed. She's really down. I'll let you know how surgery for DH's Nana goes tomorrow.

I'm off to bed in a minute. Night all!

Anyone watching HGTV's Dream Home Giveaway? I want that house. It is absolutely beautiful. I have no idea how we'd pay the taxes, but I just gotta win it!!

OK- DHhas forbid me from checking anymore airfare today! :surfweb:
American is back to 197 pp (including taxes) for Sunday 12/3 to Sun 12/10. Yes its Pop week, but if we stay at POFQ shouldn't affect us. And that is the Sunday to Sunday he wants....

I bet I dream about this tonight :rotfl:

AA has been wacky all day today. My prices keep changing. If I do 2 separate (1 party of 3, 1 part of 2) the price becomes $30 less per person. If I return home 4 hours earlier than planned, it's 40 less per person.

We are going during Pop Warner week. Not to add to your stress, but I thought I read that POR/FQ gets all the over flow from the All Star resorts...but I could be wrong..

to everyone stressing about airfare in December- I would hold out - I think that if you wait you will find much better airfare -

That's exactly what I am trying to find out... I have my fingers crossed that it just at POR and not FQ...

I hope all of you sick people feel better soon :goodvibes

Big :grouphug: to all of the sick kiddos

I hope I haven't missed anyone/anything. I haven't been on in about 4-5 days and trying to catch up is a little overwhelming.

We stayed at POFQ during Pop Warner in 2004 and there was at least one cheer group there. They weren't a problem at all. I wouldn't worry.

A few quick prayer requests please. Brantley-Kate has been sick since Sat pm with a 103 fever. Today she got a rash, and we figured out she has Fifths Disease. She still has the fever tonight, so she's missing school again tomorrow.

Just got off the phone with my MIL. My DH's grandmother is in the ICU with kidney failure. She has Alzheimer's and lives on an Alzheimer's unit. Well a nasty stomach bug went around the unit, and she got really dehydrated and it shut down her only working kidney (she has a history of kidney disease). They are doing surgery tomorrow, and my MIL is not sure if this is the end or not.

Finally, here in GA they have denied 65% of children enrolled in the medically necessary Medicaid for disabled children. Rees is being denied, and we will have to go to court to fight it. DH and I have no idea how we will make it without this extra insurance (we have incredible primary insurance but Rees' medical bills go into the 100's of thousands each year and the medicaid picks up what our primary doesn't). I may be doing a segment on our family in the Atlanta paper or TV. I will let you know.

So please keep us in your prayers. This week is really tough.

Oh Denise, I am so sorry that you have had so much bad news this week. So many , :wizard: and prayers coming your way. I hope that BK is feeling better soon and that Grandma does okay with the surgery. Many more prayers that the Medicaid issue is resolved successfully. That is terrible that so many were denied. I hope that the courts help and that a good media opportunity arises.

I think that for airfare it is simply too soon. I know that for both Oct and Dec from Boston I am getting a very standard $203 price. I know that if I wait, I will certainly pay less than $150 and probably closer to $120. I want to say that 6 months out has been a magic number for me. After that, I start seeing the fare sales and good prices come out. Have you ever signed up for fare alerts on Travelocity? You can sign up to get emails whenever the price on a certain route changes (which you enter). You can opt for notices when the price drops or for when the price drops below a certain price (you name it). Sure you'll get notices for price changes that aren't for your dates, but I've also gotten several tickets to WDW, CA and MO through these notices over the years.

I am surprised about WL being full so early. I noticed that it was booked for the 1st week of Dec last year when I looked in the summer, but didn't know it booked so quickly. Have you tried booking single days and adding on? Also, have you tried various sources for the room? I've heard that some sources have different inventories available to them so maybe try a travel agent, AAA if you have it, calling CRO, booking online and maybe even expedia. I don't think the discounts that came out last year covered WL since it was so booked so you may not have to worry about that.

Good luck!

Cinderumbrella -

I learned this from my TA, and it has worked several times for us. It seems on occasion that Disney keeps rooms in inventory for certain "lengths of stay" - i.e., a room at the WL might not come up as being available for a 2-day weekend trip, but for a 4-night stay beginning on the Thursday before, there's availability.

With a room only reservation, we've had luck several times booking the longer reservation, and then calling back mere hours (or days) later and having the additional days removed. Just say your plans changed, and you'll only be able to stay those certain days. ;)

I wouldn't do this if you're booking packages though, as there might be change/cancellation penalties. Good luck!

I haven't been on for a couple of days, and after reading through everything, besides a couple of good birthday celebrations and Steffy's grandbaby, it seems like the DDA could use a break!

Here is a huge amount of PD, prayers, and hugs for all those who need them. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for everyone. 'Night, friends!

Nancy :wizard: I hope your family gets better soon. It must be hard having her miss so much school.
Brendita and Deb :wizard: Feel better soon
Kristine hope you surgery went Ok :wizard: Hope those blues are gone.

I was never able to find a stinkin' Wendys around here with the promotion?! :confused3

That's great that it worked out! Even airtrans ultra-cheap fares are better when they're free! :goodvibes
:rotfl: My DH eats Wendy's a lot at work cause it's near the office and I told him if you don't take lunch than you're on a budget.(I need more vacations :rotfl2: ) And they don't do it either. I joke with him that we could have had tickets for our family of 6 by now if they did.
