Kate and the rest of our families are home and I am here with 2 sick kids. Fortunately Jim went back to work after lying around here Sat. night and all day Sunday. Megan spent all day Sunday throwing up. Grace slept all day. She had hives. It was awful.

my solution: then watch Vegas tonight. Jash Duhmel is easy on the eyes. Dh will even watch it cause the girls all have big ****s!!!

Unless there is a real issue that has to be dealt with, then by all means, sulk for a while then face it head on, once it is finsishe or accomplished you'll feel better!

You will love the day spa. I had a gift certificate for 1/2 day at the spa and I chose the facial and massage. I could have also chosen manicure/pedicure but I can get those anywhere. You are going to love it!!! Enjoy!!! I actually mentioned to my husband that for Mothers Day that I would enjoy another 1/2 day at Spa Sydell. We will see.

My DH booked me a couple of half days at a spa in Marietta, renew day spa and it was wonderful, they have a great website too and it was so relaxing. I got spa sydell massage and a ped/manicure from some friends for my b'day last week but will keep it for before my cruise.

Well, I wanted to catch up before I posted my good news. I was blessed with another grandson Sunday morning!


He weighed in at 6 lbs 13 ounces, 20.5 inches long. Lots of hair. Baby and Mom are doing great. My son didn't faint, so it was a good day.

I'm off to take the grandpug the kennel, so I can go back to the hospital and play with the baby.

The first thing I told him we were going to Disney in May 2007!

Congrats on the new baby grandson.

Kristine - Here's my cure for the blues: I make something; chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cake, etc. I can't eat it, but smelling it baking really trips something in my brain and I just have to smile. You can let your kids eat the treats, or better yet, plate them up and take them to your neighbors for a surprise treat. Everyone gives them at Christmas, think what a hero you'll be if you give plates of goodies for no reason at all!

Seriously, the smell of home baked goods really does something to alter a bad mood into a good one.

If that fails, a nice bubble bath with candles, chocolates and a good book simply can't be beat!

Glynis: I am glad you had such an awesome surprise party. My suggestion for a spa treatment would be a massage and a pedicure. I absolutely love the spa pedicure when they massage my feet and calves.

Nancy: Sorry you had to host the sick-ward this weekend. I hope your girls get to feeling better and am so glad that your employer is understanding. Mine is also and it can make all the difference in the world.

Kristine: Sorry you are feeling punky today. I keep declaring that all I want is to see the sun. It doesn't have to be 70 degrees, I just need the sun streaming in my windows. I was also a little snarky today. Started to pick a fight with DH in Wal-Mart this afternoon, but we quickly declared a truce. Are you able to get out for a walk this afternoon or are the sidewalks still icy/snowy?

Brendita: Sorry you still aren't feeling well, but I absolutely love your Tink design. I always pooh-poohed the idea of a tattoo, but lately I have been getting the itch. I don't think I will ever have the guts to scratch that itch though!

Nancy: It sure looks like you had a great time at WDW. I am sure your kids didn't suffer too much . That is an amazing picture of Devine.

Clare: Glad you got your smilies working. Our world would be very dull without our smilies. Amelia wanted me to add these smilie for you .

Elin: I am sorry that your mom isn't doing better, but I guess that sometimes we have to accept that this is the final decision she can make for herself, and "Mother knows best."

Lindsay: Congrats on the chance for looking at DVC. We looked in 92 and didn't buy, and have kicked ourselves since. We bought in last year and I wish we had done it sooner. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the info for my son and his orthodontic appliance. His teeth are feeling better today and the left side of his tongue isn't sore anymore. Hopefully the right side will feel better soon.

I am pleased to report that without any prompting, Kevin volunteered to go out and buy me dessert after dinner, since I was craving something sweet.

However, this may have something to do with his guilt. You see, Kevin has a three hour meeting after work tomorrow, so I'm going to be lucky if I get to spend a few hours of my birthday with him. This is my pity party!

Thanks for all the early birthday wishes. Here's a little for those of you who may need it today. I wish I could be as thorough as Beverly, and acknowledge everyone personally, but Alyssa doesn't allow me to take thorough notes. I'm lucky to even stay caught up on the thread.

Oddly, this is the first time I've craved something sweet in a while. I think that's how I managed to avoid gaining any holiday weight...the cookies and stuff just weren't appealing. Now, salty snacks...that's a different story.

I finally made a trip to the doctor's today. Apparently I have a sinus infection. I feel like cr*p. I hope that the antibiotics help with this sore throat that won't let up. I have tried every sore throat remedy that I can think of and It just won't let up. I'm taking motrin and tylenol around the clock. Usually when I don't feel well I sleep, this time I feel so horrible that I can't sleep. Send a miracle cure this way.

Deb-- I so understand where you are now! I was that same way most of last week. One of the things that has helped me the most are hot/steam showers. It helps to get all that junk out of my head. Keep up the motrin and tylenol. I also had a hard time sleeping. I am still propping myself up in bed at night, so that I can breathe easier. I also have had to take Simply Sleep by Tylenol a couple of nights, when I woke up in the middle of the night and just couldn't get back to sleep, because I was so stopped up or because I ached all over. My sore throat was one of the first things to get significantly better, so I hope that is what begins to clear up first for you. Feel better soon! (that's me stirring up a magical cure to send your way!)
