You can make a purchase without being on-site? I thought you had to be there to purchase real estate. What is the deposit amount, when do you start payments? Which credit card did you end up using?

The purchase took about 5 minutes. They are sending us all the paperwork by FedEx. They don't except Discover so we put $1000 down on our Disney visa. I think we could have put just $500 down, but I'll take the visa points. I plan to pay off the Visa balance as soon as it show up then have the balance due transfered from the Disney Visa card to make checking account. I'll pay the balance due from our checking account. The transfer to our checking will lock us in at 3.99% for the life of the balance. Our first payment will be due on our credit card at the end of February. We are opting to have the annual dues spead out over the year so they will deduct that amount from our checking account monthly. It is just under $70 per month. I'll have all the final numbers when the packet comes. It was so easy. We are excited to not be paying the 9.75% interest rate that Disney offers and the friends and family discount saved us almost $3000. That discount ends this month. If anyone is considering buying, now is the time.

Glynis. It is so wonderful of you to do so much to make your neighbors trip magical. You are a true fairy godmother as you make dreams come true.

Blueeyes. Welcome back.

Great designs posted by all.

I've been helping my 4th grader complete his project on wolves. He decided to make a wolf habitat diorama, brochure and t-shirt to accompany his oral report. He has great ideas, but it ended up being a lot of homework for both of us. Here is the t-shirt design, though I think he wants it to only say Wolves now :confused3

Here is the diorama. Paper mache, paint and a lot of trees that we made out of garland. We also put a stream in there, but it's hard to see. The moon actually lights up.

There is a little picture of a deer herd in there as he needed to show the wolves prey and I didn't have anything else on hand.

Deb

Deb,
really neat project. Love the picture of the wolf for the shirt

I think this is the final design for our family design. DH thought it was too busy with the castle (don't let him know that I agree). What do you think? Any enhancements I could make?

Thanks Kate for the letter/character idea.

Looks great :sunny:

Hello Chatty Girls!!!!

Last night we had movie night - Wedding Crashers and then this morning Julia and I had girls day out -

we started with her American Girl Fashion Show Audition - all they did was measure her to see if she is the right size and htey will let us know in two weeks - it has nothing to do with what they look like - just their sizing - so we will have to wait and see - you will all appreciate this =

as we left Julia said -

Mommy, when is the audition -

I told her that was the audition to which she responded -

"that wasn't a very good audition - they didn't even ask me to sing or dance!!" :rotfl:

here is her picture that we turned in for the show:

jukl.jpg

then we went to Don Pablos for lunch - YUMMY and then went shopping -

we are headed out for dinner but I wanted to pop in and say hi!!!

Hope you all are having a great day!!

kate

Gorgeous picture of her, I'm trying to catch up on all the weekend posts and still have pages and pages to go.

Strange turn of events. His Aunt and my Mom were very good friends and his family was in San Diego for a visit. When I got on the phone with her, I asked how old he was and when I heard his brother (Bob) was my age, I said I would take the older one. After watching Hayle Mills in "The Trouble With Angels", Yes  ---we made out during the second one. I still cannot remember what the movie was.
His brother and some girl were in the back seat and we kept fogging up the windows so he would reach over and turn on the AC :rotfl: Two more dates after that and then they continued with their vacation.
About 4 weeks later he wrote me and professed his love. Then I wrote back saying I felt the very same. Three years of a lot of long distance correspondence and phone calls before we got married. If I totaled it all up, we were together various times for about six months. I was a military brat and he had joined to Navy to be close to me at one point before my family was transferred all the way to Key West.
In June it will be 37 years. I will have known him for 40 years. He is definately a keeper.

A true fairytale love story.

You guys are so sweet!! I think Julia is a cutie too!!! and she has the personality to go with it!!! I am such a lucky Mommy!!!!

Today we bought Steve (oops I mean Nick) an aircraft carrier at Target for 75% off - the two of them were in heavan playing with it - I knew this was why Steve wanted a boy - he just wants the toys to play with!!

That is so funny, Aubrey loves big boy toys more than Adam likes his toys, just wish we could find them at Target and there were no further expenses incured after he got them!!!
Actually he vacumned the house and is did laundry while I was running the kids around so that he could spend the afternoon dismantling one of his toys!!

Here are a couple of the shirts that I made.

The Name shirt that Leighanna is wearing is the first one that I did (thanks Kate, all the shirts came out great). I scorched it a little (I made another one and it came out fine), but she hasn't wanted to take it off since. She slept in it last night, and wouldn't let me take it off of her today.
The born to shop one is one that I created myself with some clipart that I found. Leighanna really loves to shop and I thought it was fitting for her. :goodvibes Now my DW wants one too. ::MinnieMo

Love the T's, the shopping one is great and definately my daughter but then she came by it honestly!!

We were one of the first houses with color tv on our block. The first time I saw the NBC peacock.. Wow. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

These kids today....My DGD has her own cellphone!!!

We were the first on the street with TV and it was only 2 hours a night then they would replay it the following afternoon at 1pm the remainder of the time was test pattern and we were even fascinated with that!!

Hi everyone! My laptop is now at Best Buy with the Geek Squad going through diagnostics. They should call in a couple of days to let me know what the problem is and what can be done. I haven't been able to check the thread very often at work this week, so I had about 50 pages to catch up on yesterday and today. Happy birthday to all of those who had or are going to have birthdays. Get well soon to those who are ill, or whose children are ill. To anyone going to WDW soon, have a great trip! Great job everyone on designs. Kate, great picture of Julia! Hope she gets to model. It sounds right up her alley. Denise, you don't post too often any more. Is everyone okay? Congrats on the DVC. Congrats to you, too Deb! I did autograph books for our December trip, but I can't post pictures. The characters really loved them. Cinderella said "I'm all over the place!" Suzy was so excited she ran to get Perla to see. The fairy Godmother said "oh, how clever!" Mary Poppins said we were very "innovative." :rotfl: They're great for character interaction (we were all adults, by the way). We got about 25 autographs, which isn't too bad for a one week trip. Hope I get my laptop back soon or get more time at work to post this coming week. If not, I'll catch up again next weekend! Have a good week!

Happy New Year Friends!

See what happens?! I get bronchitis over New Year's, am bedridden for no less than 10 days, can't lift my head off the pillow to get a drink of water much less be on the DDA, then I get swamped last week at work trying to catch up, and what happens -- y'all MOVE on me! Now I have almost 3100 posts on which to catch up! (I'll love every minute of reading!)

Happy to see everyone in bright and chipper spirits on our new thread. I'm going to be swamped with work for the next few weeks, so will pop on and off when I can. Just wanted to say hello and happy new year! And have a fantabulous time to anyone going to WDW in the next few weeks for birthdays or otherwise!

Hi Poohangel,

How are you feeling? Hope everything is going well...

i am doing ok. thanks for asking. i had to go to the er thursday night because i started having red bleeding, but they said baby is ok. scary though.

Anyone want to guess my heart rate right now?!?!??!?!?!?!

Tammi, are you dying?!

(Football reference, sorry)

Ok..... seriously. I don't bank much on bad calls because eventually, they always even out (over all time, you know)? I'm not the kind to complain, becuase you can always say that they should have just scored more points, etc

But I SERIOUSLY would have boycotted the Superbowl (and preceding games remaining) if the Colts won that game. Can anyone BELIEVE that the interception call got overturned? Did they forget what they were reviewing?! It wasn't even that it wasn't given to him.... the official found it CONCLUSIVE that he didn't intercept it?! Even his 'explanation' contradicted itself. He said that "the defender had possession of the ball until......" .... well, if Polamalu had possession of a ball that Manning threw, it's a freakin' interception!!!!!!!!!

*sigh*

breathing huge sighs of relief here...... out for a run with Kyle and the dog to relieve some stress :rotfl:

that may have been the best game I've ever seen.

It's official. We put down our deposit this morning and are now DVC members. Thank all of you for your information, advice and well wishes. We are so excited. We aren't even planning to go until Summer 2007, but a least we know we'll be staying onsite  . We have never taken the tour so that will be something else to look forward too.

Deb

That is great news Deb - Welcome Home!!!

More love, though, to dear Ben for saving the game! I love the Bus, but had Ben not made that tackle on the last fumble, the game was over.

Go 'Hawks (Miami OH), and Go Ben

I swear, I'm done now :rotfl2:
