Hi, all. Definitely sick here. I go to the doctor at 4pm, so I'll let you know afterwards. BTW, we had snow showers this am! The kids loved it. Now it's 36 degreees, so it's just rain. But it sure was pretty!

My goodness! You guys have been chatty the last couple of days. I haven't been able to get on for a while due to DH's freelance work, my graduate school classes, and life in general! I have finally caught up and I don't even know where to start!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for all of you with sickness. We went through it last week and if you have the same bug we did, you should be over it in about 12 hours. Still, it's not fun while you're going through it!

Denise - take care. Strep is no fun for anyone. Let someone else take care of you for a while. My dad called last night for an update on your family and I gave him the latest news. The prayer chain has spread, as he now has all the people that work with him involved as well. Let's hope all these prayers help Rees and other kids that need it!

Kate - I watched the movie with my daughter and we loved it! I'm so sorry I couldn't take your quiz, though. I probably wouldn't have done very well, in any case. DD and I were having too much fun dancing around the living room so we didn't pay too much attention to details.

Amy - If I found an air fare like that, and had a DH that was willing, I couldn't lock up the house fast enough! :lmao: Couldn't you work it so that the termites were gotten rid of while you were in Disney? You could come home to an uninfested house, and then you would be able to concentrate more fully on fixing it up to sell. Besides, going to WDW is going to be so much different with 2 kids from now on. I think you should go and let Alyssa be the center of attention one last time.

I have enjoyed reading all the proposal stories, etc. Sounds like we all got all the good men left in the world. How lucky for us! We got the good spouses, and the best looking kids in the world!

Well, I'm off again. I've got 2 papers to write and submit to my professors before 5:00 today, Book fair at the kid's school to help out with, and twins that want to watch Lady and the Tramp again and again and again. I'll try to check back with you all.

LOL...I just called Kevin at work to tell you what you all have been posting and he declared you "enablers!" :goodvibes He had decided last night, that it really wasn't the smartest financial decision we could make, but I know he's as torn as I am.

The biggest problem is it's peak season, so resort prices are high. He's leaning toward POFQ, hoping if we buy one AP, there would still be availability.

Alyssa's birthday is April 3rd, so this could be her 2nd birthday trip. And I'm feeling pretty good now that I'm in my second trimester. Holy moly, this is a tough one!!!

:wizard: to everyone who isn't feeling well today. And :wizard: to those of you who have had a crazy morning (sheesh Jennifer!!!).

Amy :)

That's okay - I remember you asking me for a couple of things before your trip last year!!! ;)

That's because I was too impatient to wait for Kevin to find me Abby Mallard clip-art. On occasion, you take care of my needs faster than my husband! :lmao:

Amy :)

Amy - I say go for it too

Although I wouldn't buy Alyssa the ticket - I think a Tuesday flight would not be crowded and you could get her a seat without paying for one!!
I agree!! Save the money. :Pinkbounc

Jennifer - glad you got your win - I thought of you when DH told me - and that your test went ok :thumbsup2

Denise - sending you :wizard: that you feel better soon

Amy - Take the trip... go on... that sounds far to good a deal to miss... then we can live vicariously through you :)

Kate - how can Alyssa go free? Do you just turn up with your kids and if there is a seat they let you have it??

I have to get on an oh so fun conference call, but wanted to send out some :wizard: to all of those sick again today! Feel better everyone!!!

Vicariously is one of my favorite words Clare! :thumbsup2

And yes, we're not required to buy a seat for an infant/toddler until the child is 2. We have always purchased a seat for Alyssa, at a discounted price, because we've never been willing to play roulette and hope that there's an empty seat (most of the flights we've booked in the past have been full). She is NOT a lap baby...and anyone who rode the buses with us at WDW in October will attest to that. :teeth:

Amy :)

Ahh I see - children under two... well if the Queen says you'll only need two seats then that's an even better deal!

I'm trying to convince DH to let me book our flights... my boss hinted today that I'm in for a decent bonus... not sure what his idea of decent is though :rotfl:

Yesterday, Kevin discovered a DEAL through Delta...with our frequent flyer miles and this break in price, all three of us (we always buy Alyssa a seat) could fly to Disney for $286.18 round trip. :thumbsup2

The only catch is the trip has to be completed by March 31st, so Kevin suggested Tuesday, March 21 through Tuesday, March 28.

This is killing me!!! I had resigned myself to no more Disney trips until the new baby was at least 6 months old. Yes, we're getting a nice tax return, but half of that is going to the termite problem. We're supposed to be looking for a new home, so the new baby actually has a bedroom!

What to do...what to do. Right now my heart says yes, and my brain says, "Are you out of your mind?!!" :teeth:

Amy :)

Go for it, you know it will be fun. :cheer2: :thumbsup2

Your boss says that too? I always am left wondering when it comes to my boss's "decent" bonuses.

Well.... I got at least an 83 on my test. Not so hot, but I'll take it, consdiering the morning I had! I was leaving at EXACTLY the same time as I always do on Monday mornings, when I couldn't find my keys for about 10 minutes. Then I got to my car and scraped ice off for 5 minutes. Then I tried to open my frozen doors for 5 minutes. Needless to say, I was a little stressed on time. Then about 3 miles from my house my check gauges light comes on. Ok, I think I'll make it.... but if I happen to get to that station near school with 6 minutes left I'll get some gas.

Well, with a little speeding and lucky traffic breaks, I make it in time. I LITERALLY put the gas nozzle in and almost begin pumping.... when I realize (thankfully) I don't have my purse!?!?! :confused3 :earseek: So I get BACK in the car, and focus on getting to the test in time. I'm able to borrow almost $3.00 in change from a friend, but have no time to look over any notes before the test starts. :rotfl2:

I take the test, think I utterly failed it, look over the key to see if I can remember what I answered and get an idea of how terribly I did.......

and am quite pleased :goodvibes

So I go, ask for $3.00 of gas (thankful that I'll probably never see those attendants again), and am on my merry way.

How have all of your mornings been? :goodvibes

I know that feeling. Just finished a post doctorate course, that I didn't study for (I am never taking another class :rotfl2: ). I was pleased to get a B. I am sure you are glad that test is over. Penny

Hi all!! I've been lurking for awhile on this thread but wanted to jump in and say hi!! We live in TN and are in the midst of first time trip planning (actually I am!). I've also used up my free photo impact trial and now have to bite the bullet and buy it at some point. We've had the sickness go through our house and are just getting over it!! About a month ago virus with throwing up then onto coughing and sinus infections with a side of pink eye (for all of us, except DS,6yr old). Finally coming out of it and hope we've had our share with no sickness before or during our trip!! Here's hoping everyone who is sick now is on the mend soon! ;)

Welcome to the DDA. It sounds like you are already an addict ;)

Deb

Just home. It is Strep and my lungs are all crappy again. I'm on a z-pack, inhalers, and a liquid steroid. She said my throat is almost swollen shut (I've been drooling 'cause I can't swallow well). If it's not better by tomorrow, I may have to do IV antibiotics and steroids. So, I'm going to go take my meds and sit on the couch with the kids. Sure hope DH and the kids don't get it. I have new empathy for all the kids who have Strep (Julia) repeatedly. This really hurts!

Sorry you aren't feeling well Denise - does it mean a hospital visit if you go intravenous?

Too bad we don't live closer -- Hunka said he'd triple-sit for you!

Oh yeah - and go to bed! Is John working late again tonight?? Let him handle the kids while you get some sleep.
