Good morning :sunny:

Tammi it is suppose to warm up here today as well. Actually the forecast for the next week is in the 40's :cool1:

Hope everyone has a great day. Time to get ready for work!

Good morning, DDA! :)

Amy - Congrats on the milestone! And thanks for the laughs! :rotfl:

Dawn - Hello!

Tammi - I hope your day is productive! :thumbsup2

Jen - I hope you can get some rest this weekend so you can feel better! I am worried about you!

Debbie - Good luck getting through your "to do" list! Thanks so much for the cute snowman card!

Elin - We had the DDP plus DDE for August and it worked out well. The complicating factor now is that DS counts as an adult. It is better for us to have the AP discount on the room and just use the DDE because DS can't even finish a kids meal. And he typically doesn't want to share with me because he won't eat what I order. It will be interesting to see how it works out if we get to keep our August ressie with free dining. I imagine we'll do lots of buffets because those are DH's favorite and it kills us to pay for DS as an adult when he only eats one small plate of food.

Morning everyone--
i got to sleep in today, so that was nice! I am going to relax for awhile and then go to my niece's birthday party..then come and relax some more, then go babysit! im thinking about making cupcakes to take for the girls tonight.

Hope you have a great day!

Good afternoon DDA! This is the 1st chance I have had to get on the pc. I spent all day wrapping the kids gifts from us & Santa.
19.gif
(for those of you who don't wrap from Santa, man are YOU smart! :teeth: ) I started at 9am & just finished 10 minutes ago. Dana was working from home today so he took care of Sophie & got her on the bus. I hid in my room & told her I was cleaning & it was too dusty in there for her.

Now my tree looks like this!
16.gif

Only the gifts from Dana & I are under the tree. Santa's gifts will be there on Chirstmas day.

I am still waiting on the digi makeover for Katie...can't get it anywhere!!!

My new Canon digital camera just came too..now I have to read the book & get a good memory card. I know nothing about digitals!!

Tom- Happy belated anniversary. Beautiful pics!

Janet - You look gorgeous.

Vicki - Thanks so much for posting your pictures..I am loving seeing everyone! We are a cute bunch huh? :lmao: :smooth:

Christi- Happy anniversary too!!

Beth - We all love the people mover too!

Anne Marie-

I think I saw the digi makeover a couple of days ago....do you need someone to find it for you???

I caught up...should have realized there was a milestone in the making!! :rotfl2:

Loved the postcard and Christmas card we got!! Thanks Vicki and Debbie

Last night we went with friends to the Zoo lights(the glasses were a big hit there!!) and then took the oldest for a sleep over. This family is going through a horrific seperation...dad left mom...had her car repossesed and is trying to throw her out of the house(and other stuff I don't even want to know about!!). She only works 30 hrs a week at the most and minimum wage at best. So we took Giovanna as part of her sleep over to Walmart and had her pick out a pair of jammies, a set of clothes and presents for her brother and sister from her. That's the best part of Christmas!! :goodvibes

Today is Christmas brunch, jewelry party and then family fun night!!
Tomorrow is Tuba Christmas......I need to figure out how to get these things to slow down!! Doesn't anybody know I have the DDA to keep up with!! :confused3

Have a great day all!!

Morning, DDA!

I've been meaning to post thank you for the postcards! I love getting them!!

Thanks Debbie for the card. Really neat with the snowman stickers. :goodvibes:

Today I hope to get to Old Navy and get the girls' Christmas Eve jammies, finish decorating the house so I can get the boxes put away. I need to finish some journaling boxes for a scrapbooking swap I'm in, maybe make some cookies, get a nap in (Yeah, I'm reaching for the moon ;) ) But nothing will get done if I don't get my rear out of this chair. :teeth:

What is DDE? Is that the one where you have to be a Florida resident?

Hi, Kelli!

DDE is the card you can buy if you have an AP or are a FL resident, and I think DVC members can buy them, too. We bought ours for $60 as AP holders and it gives a 20% discount on food & beverages at TS restaurants, CS at AK since there aren't any TS, and at Value resort food courts since there isn't a TS option. We bought it in August because we had 4 more TS meals scheduled than we had DDP credits for, and we used it for all of our TS meals and our CS at Pop and AK this time. Contrary to what the woman on the thread on the Restaurants forum thinks, DDE really does work for my family! :rotfl2: She is still trying to convince me that I wouldn't have had OOP meals if I had the DDP. Um, yes, I would have. But I appreciate her concern. ;)

Theresa - That was really thoughful! That family is lucky to have your family as friends! :)

Kelli - I hear ya' about getting out of the chair. I think I am stuck here.

I need to go to the post office, and maybe to Target. I also need to order our photo cards from Sam's so maybe I can get them in the mail before January. :rolleyes1 I was TRYING to order my Photo Pass pics but EVERY time I went to check out my computer crashed! :badpc: I will have to order them on Dadboss's computer when I go in tonight. The nice thing is the site does save what is in the cart, so I don't have to re-do the order.

Deb - How is your back today? I take 800 mg. of ibuprofen 3 times a day when mine is bad and that helps. I also take Robaxin, but that is prescription. The Flexiril doesn't work, but the Robaxin does. :)

OK. If Kelli is getting out of her chair then I am getting out of my chair, too! Really! (My feet are really cold so at the very least I need to go get some socks!) :rotfl:

Hello to Everyone :wave2:

I know I haven't posted in a while but things have been really busy at work and home. Not much time for myself. I have been reading along......missing a few days here and there.......but trying to keep up. We leave for our Disney trip on December 30th so I am getting really excited. I LOVE getting the postcards from everyone from your trips. I LOVE my Disney ornament that I received from my DDA pal.

I will try and catch up more later. I need to get the boys to their basketball games. Both at 2pm......nothing like being in 2 places at the same time.

Have a great day everyone.............Lynn

Thanks in no particular order to Elizabeth, Terry, and Vicki for the postcards.

Sending prayers, :wizard: and :grouphug: to anyone in need of it. Also everyone remember in the hustle and bustle to try and take some time for yourselves. You don't want to be overstressed and get sick.

This is just my fly by posting the Candlelight brunch was this morning and now I am on my way to work. Have a fantastic day everyone.

Ugh! I am back from errands and now I feel very Scrooge-y!

There are exactly TWO machines at Sam's that will process photos from CD. The line was forever. I was able to go to the 3rd machine to order prints from my memory card, so all the photos from the trip are being processed. We were at Sam's for over an HOUR. The ENTIRE time we were there one woman was at a machine, hogging it, zooming, cropping, brightening each and every picture. Everybody in line was grumbling. The Sam's photo counter employee even commented that they need a time limit on the machines. But the woman never moved, never offered to let someone else have a turn, never apologized for taking so long. I would have been embarrassed to have ALL those people waiting while I fiddled around with every single shot! I FINALLY got a turn to make my Christmas card (which is WAY more complicated than it needs to be) and instead of a one hour turnaround time there is a now a 24 hour wait. Perfect.

The parking lot at Target was PACKED, but we got through the line quickly.

Strangely the post office was not as bad as the other places! :rotfl2:

Since I am usually out running errands during the week I forget how crazy the weekends can be! I will be staying IN now!

boy is it slow on here today! Hope everyone is having a good day. I have nestled myself into Tammi and Alyssa's trip to The Nutcracker tonight. I am very excited because it has been a long time since I have seen it performed.
