The sequel to the travelling DDA book is out...I am going to check out how much it is this weekend....though I have a pile of about 10 books I am behind right now....hope to get that one travelling by the new year.

What is it called? I'm too impatient for the traveling DDA book. I need to put it on reserve at the library NOW! :teeth:

Beth

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Wraps. I never even knew that not wrapping was an option. I wish I'd known that years ago!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Colored

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No

5. When do you put your decorations up? First weekend after Thanksgiving

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Filet mignon

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? The year that Santa came to our house early, because we visited my grandparents in Florida and went to Disney World for Christmas!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I really don't remember. I do know that Mom and Dad still waited until late Christmas Eve to put the Santa gifts under the tree even when I was in college (at my request). Mom still teases me about that. I'm sure that my kids are going to be the same way.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Some years. We used to always do it, but that is one tradition that didn't stick as much as some others. It depends on the gifts I have.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? With lots of small colored lights and a lot of ornaments I've collected over the years. The kids all get to hang their own ornaments--ones that they have made or that have been bought for them. It is so much fun remembering while we decorate the tree.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Dread it and Love it!!

12. Can you ice skate? Have you ever fallen on the ice? Yes, and Yes

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? It was a globe, and I received it the same year that was my favorite Christmas memory. I still have it, though many countries are wrong now.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being together with my family

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Christmas cookies or pecan pie

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? We roast hot dogs and marshmallows on Christmas Eve after going to the children's service at church.

17. What tops your tree? A star

18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? Definitely giving!

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Eveything except I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Yum

Morning everyone! I love the snow - but come on!?! There are kids that have gone to school just ONE day this week (and that was yesterday!) Geauga County has about 14 inches since Monday - and they are estimating another 4 for today. I am trying to remember the day I picked for the "Snow Day" through work...we pick a day when the Cleveland Airport will receive one inch of snow - and they should be there by now! I'm 99% sure I picked Walt's Birthday so I'm hoping I win that 1/2 day vacation! :teeth:
Can't wait to here about everyones vacations!

I forgot to mention about the Quest for the Cashmere Sweater! We found one! Apparently Bob's dads list was for a cashmere/cotton sweater - and the ad he put with his list was from Eddie Bauer. We have an outlet mall by us so I called them to see if they had one...and they did! We were able to get the sweater AND the moccasins that he asked for for $50 (which is our limit!) I think that is our best buy for the season!

 Hi, Debbie and Tammi!

I sent this once and it has not shown up so if it appears twice just consider that I wanted you BOTH to know I was saying good morning ;)

Never heard of this one :rotfl:

Morning DDA,

I've been trying to catch up this morning but it looks like I won't make it. Life is crazier than usual this time of year. Your welcome to all the thank you's for the cards.

Loved all the Kid's pictures

:wizard: PD and prayers for all those in need.

Have a Great day everyone

Morning Elin! :goodvibes

Good morning :sunny:

Garrett has his Christmas concert tonight. I am so excited to see him play his clarinet. He leaves the instrument at school, so I have not heard him play at all!

Is anyone on the cheer team going to do the runway walk? I have been reading & not sure if I missed the answer. I still am not sure if it is supposed to be just a picture of a dress or if it can be on a model. Anyone know for sure?

I had that 45 rpm when I was little. My kids still listen to it when up at my parents. Yes, they still have a functioning old timey record player! On the other side was Are My Ears on Straight?.

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a hippopotamus will do
Don't want a doll
No rinky Tinker Toy
I want a hippopatamus to play with and enjoy......

Now it's stuck in my head!

I have no idea what you are talking about. All I know is that they were looking for talent. Is there a thread I missed somewhere?
