Hunter couldn't find the photos of his project today to show his teacher. He swore that they weren't in his backpack, but lo and behold they were. Her only concerns were that kids didn't just bring in a premade doll house and that the kids only use materials from around the home. I guess one kid brought in a cardboard box with a few things inside it. Boy will she be surprised when he shows up with a completely furnished log cabin with lights and a christmas tree. I have totes full of craft stuff and shelves of extra Christmas stuff. I could probably supply everything to deck out all of the kids houses :rotfl: I let Hunter browse my shelves in the basement and he came up with the stuff that he wanted to use to decorate the house. All that is left is to glue the house and garage onto a large piece of cardboard and he wants to create a yard area for Ralph to have a swing set, merry go round and maybe a pool. hopefully he will get that done tomorrow afternoon. I made Hunter tell me where he got all of his materials just in case the teacher quizzes him on it. He knows exactly where he got everything.

So cute Tammi! I am sure Alyssa will love it.
I hope so because the talk we had tonight about not getting everything that she asks for didn't go over so well. Nicholas got it, but I think it was too much for her to grasp. I gave her the spiel that if Santa runs out of a certain toy that you ask for he will pick something extra special that he thinks you will like even better, yada yada yada. Her response...."what if I don't, and what if I don't ever want to play with it, and it just sits there?" Oh boy. :sad2:

I can't wait to see the finished product. Maybe Hunter will want to become an architect now!

Our new granddaughter, Hayley Jeanne was born at 11:05 this morning by cesarean section. She weighed in at 9 lbs 10 oz, and is 21.5 inches long.

Our new granddaughter, Hayley Jeanne was born at 11:05 this morning by cesarean section. She weighed in at 9 lbs 10 oz, and is 21.5 inches long. Jamie was in labor for a total of about 21 hours, and believe me she tried to push her out, but Hayley is a very big girl. Jamie had a fever at delivery, so Hayley will be on IV antibiotics in the special care nursery for 48 hours as a precaution, and Jamie is also on antibiotics. We went up to the hospital at 9pm last night and stayed up all night waiting, so we didn't end up getting to see Jamie after the delivery. We stayed at the hospital until about 2pm today, but Jamie was sleeping, and needed her rest. Aside from the fever Jamie and Hayley are doing fine, and they were both real troopers through the whole thing. We did get to see Hayley in the nursery with Shawn for a couple of minutes. Here she is, and I may be biased, but I think she is absolutely beautiful.

Have you considered buying her a digital picture frame. Depending on the memory you can put a bunch of pictures in it and it does a slide show right there in the fram. I bought one for myself and can't wait to use it. I have a lot of family that has bought them for their parents/grandparents in similar situations.
That's a good idea. I'll have to think about that.

I can't imagine her not being happy with this. Don't worry, all will be fine :goodvibes
