I'm glad to hear the Kristine made it out ok and she got a bonus day :cool1:

:wizard: :wizard: I hope that Vicki and Elizabeth get out ok. And anyone else leaving soon.

I'm trying to get everything together for the Silent Auction for the scouts tomorrow. I'm going to school at 2:30 in hopes of getting it set up today instead of ok dark thirty tomorrow morning. It is nice of you guys to be so quiet as I'm getting stuff done :thumbsup2

Deb

Janet - Oh, my! I am SO glad we don't live where we would get weather like that! I have been in either TX or FL since 1979, so there is no way I could adjust to snow like that! I hope you are able to get around safely!

Tammi - That is great that Kristine left a day early! :thumbsup2

Jen - Hope you have a good day!

Vicki was scheduled to go out of Green Bay at 6:50 AM today, I think. I'm not sure if she has her cell. She said they would have Chuck's, but might not carry it in the parks.

We are scheduled out at 7:50 AM tomorrow. The roads this morning were dry, and everything is melting now. They said all runways are operating, but I just don't know if they are going to be able to move 300 flights worth of people out of here today! They said about one third of the flights yesterday were impacted. Hopefully not all of the flights were full so maybe they can just fill them with stranded people. Then there is the issue of whether or not the plane they are planning to use is stuck in some other city and can't get out.

I switched my purse over to my "Disney" bag, I gathered all of our documents and money and so forth, I put DS's $ in his backapck, I paid the rent (very important!), I went to the bank. DH changed the water in the fish bowl and the cat litter, and he is working on laundry and cleaning up the kitchen. I think we're going out for dinner tonight since that is our usual Friday thing. DS might notice that I switched bags so I will have to think of some boring reason to have done that. ;)

Janet -- Those pictures made me cringe! I have another online WDW friend who was supposed to leave today from the Illinois area and they have switched their flight to tomorrow morning. Her DH was in denial about the storm and said they didn't need to leave yesterday.

Tammi -- thanks for letting us know about Kristine. Smart lady!!!

The 7:50 AM flight this morning was delayed by an hour, so that's not as terrible as it could be. Hopefully by tomorrow they will have things back on schedule more or less.

I'd hate to be him right about now!

I just talked to Kristine. They were on the monorail!!!! :Pinkbounc She did the smart thing and left a day early. They ended up spending last night at the Beach Club.

Now we just need to make sure Elizabeth gets out of town on schedule.

WPASADI UPDATE

Okay - we are planning a game for our cheerleaders - if you want to play let us know - you should have a few days to play and it won't take a long time but should be a lot of fun! The game you guys will be playing will be while we are working on our challenge

We need to know ahead of time who is playing to help us make up the teams!

If you want to play - please let me know! If you aren't a cheerleader - you can still sign up - I don't think there will be a lot involved being a cheerleader and you can win cool prizes as a cheerleader!

There will be Virtual Prizes involved!!!

I'll play! Weekends are a little tight timewise, but I can do it if it won't take a lot of time.

Beth

We are supposed to get our first challenge on Monday or Tuesday - hopefully we will have a week to complete it - so you will have that long to play - but you have to finish by the time we turn in our challenge - or you will miss the surprise!!

Kate-

Can I play too??? Huh, Huh, Huh??? :lmao:

I crack myself up sometimes!!

I want to play, provided I have the time!!!

Sooooo. Here we are. :rolleyes1 Just under 18 hours to go.

All I need to do is put my brush in my purse in the morning after I dry my hair, and print our boarding passes. I think.

Brother brought the classroom fish home today. Of course water sloshed out in my car. But I cleaned it up. I had the fishbowl sitting in a booster seat, so I just laundered the cover from the seat and used a towel to blot the floor mat. The fish has a journal to record his harrowing experiences. :rotfl2:

DH came by and brought me some lunch. He is bored, too! And he is a little uncertain about what to say to the PE teacher. I hope it goes well!

Happy Friday, all! TGIF!

Elizabeth - BRRR!!! Although I do love the wintry weather, I like it better while sipping hot chocolate in the comfort of my own home! No ice days for us either the past couple of days, although I did leave a little early yesterday to get home before dark. I almost slid into a wall on the DNT last December during an ice storm, and remember that experience all too well! Mere hours to go for you! Hope the meeting goes well with the PE teacher. :grouphug:

Jen - :grouphug: :wizard: for your grandmother. I will keep her in my prayers.

Janet - WOW, that is some snow! Makes all of us in Dallas look like a bunch of ninnies. :rotfl:

Debbie - glad to hear you're okay.

Also glad to hear the news that Kristine made it safely (as well as Steffy and Terry!). Just need to now hear from Vicki - hope they made it, too! That was a smart move, Kristine! :thumbsup2

Hi to everyone else, and sorry if I missed anything big - I did read it all!

So what is everyone doing this weekend? We are FINALLY decorating the tree and house, and I hope to get some gifts wrapped. I'm getting close to being done with my Christmas shopping, except for the couple of "angels" I adopted from the Salvation Army tree, but hopefully I won't have too much difficulty getting them done this weekend. I had the worst time finding a couple of younger kids this year - it took me a couple of visits to the tree. The first time I went, there was a 3 year old that wanted a Gameboy (umm, I'm sure that was his parents wanting a Gameboy!) :sad2:
