Jo we enjoy going to US. We have not been the last few times, but plan on it for our trip next year. Just go with the attitude that it is not Disney & you will have a great time!

Don't flame me.
I'm thinking about getting Universal AP.
They have a Florida resident special now.
3 extra months free with a AP.
So for $179.00 you get 15 months both parks & free parking.
Ramiro is really bugging me for Universal.
Does anyone know anything about Universal?

Good Morning DDA,

Thanks for all the well wishes, I'm feeling much better this morning, I've been pretty stiff and sore for the past two days.

Jen - :wizard: :grouphug: for your Grandma, my MIL had the same surgery a few months back and did very well with it, luckily they found the blockage before it caused any more harm.

For all our travelers, be careful out there, it has gotten pretty cold here and the wind is "Kickin'", my swing has been blown over in the back yard but I'm going to leave it down until the wind dies down.

Elizabeth - good luck with your meeting today, I've had a few of those myself, I found that persistance pays off in the end.

I better get going, I'm going to take extra caution out on the roads today,

Hope everyone has a great day.

Debbie
I'm glad you are feeling a little better, Debbie.

Good Morning guys-
I took some meds and was able to fall asleep last night around 1230..
Its nice this morning, but supposed to get nasty earlier..im supposed to go out with a girlfriend tonight, but we may be postponing that..

i am headed to class now..Today is the huge presentation that i thought was the 15th..My partner and i decided to go first so we can just get it over with..im a little nervous but id rather just get it done.

Ill be checking back when i get home..
have a great day..and thanks again for your help last night..i appreciate it
Good luck with the presentation, Jen. You will feel much better once you are done!

Elizabeth I hope you get this worked out with the teacher. I would be very upset myself. I had a teacher do this to me in 6th grade. It was my science class & she had me in tears. I was so upset when I got home. I was embarrassed in front of the class by her. My mother was right on the phone, never had another problem with her, but it is something I will never forget. :grouphug: to your ds.

DS just told us about something that happened at school today. :furious:
Apparently instead of actually doing any sort of physical activity in PE these days the kids are given sports cards. They have to write up a paragraph about the person on their card. First of all, how lame is that? But I digress...

DS had a football card with some player for the Panthers. He asked the PE teacher if they are a Texas team. She responded with "Hmm. Panthers, Cowboys. I don't think so! Can anybody tell him what state the Panthers are from? Maybe you should ask your dad. But he would freak out if he knew you didn't know the answer!" WHAT THE HE!! WAS THAT?!

DS was so sad when he was telling me! He said he just asked a simple question and she made fun of him in front of all the other kids! I don't like that woman, DH doesn't like her, and now she is ridiculing our child? :furious: Sports are not a priority in our family, and how dare she presume to tell MY child what his father would think of him not knowing what state a football team is from?!

Ordinarily I would go to the principal with it, but thanks to the lawsuit I am afraid she has larger issues. Like a bunch of idiots calling for her to be terminated. I asked DS what he wants to do, and he isn't sure. He finally told DH to go talk to the PE teacher. So it looks like DH and I will be going to school with DS in the morning to have a discussion with the PE teacher about being respectful of the students and not assuming that everybody is a sports fan. Obviously there are 2 sides to every story and I am sure she will spin it around somehow. Perhaps we will take DS wiht us to speak to her. That might be better than us going without him.

What do you all think?

Oh, yuck! I must be getting old, because I'm not looking forward to snow at all. Maybe after my Christmas shopping is done...

Speaking of Christmas shopping and bad weather...I have a list a mile long that I was planning to go out and do today. Well, school is being dismissed early, so all my plans are out the door again. It seems like the fates are conspiring against me on my days off! We aren't expecting any snow. They are predicting severe thunderstorms with high winds and a lot of rain. Several weeks ago we had heavy rains that brought about a lot of flash flooding and mudslides. A couple of schools had kids that they couldn't get home for several hours, so they are being extra cautious today.

Beth

I called and left a message for Vicki too, on her home phone. I don't have her cell #.

Her cell phone went straight to voice mail...I left a message and hope she calls back shortly.

I know they had an early morning flight with connections...but I don't think there connections were in airports affected by the storms!!

I am looking out my window and I love the view....I see snow capped mountains.

We have a heat pump being worked on here at work today...so there is no heat in the building....except the space heater I brought....going to actually have to turn it on soon!!

My husband thinks I am a computer genius!!! :rotfl2:

I showed him the Merry Christmas in my signature and told him I did it myself....he was so impressed even after I showed him the website I got it from!!
