Well, DH found out today that the bid calendar comes out on Monday, bids are on December 11. :guilty: That means we will have to reserve our August package through the "book ahead" deal without knowing whether or not we can actually go! But people are saying the dates can be changed, so maybe if he can't get the one week I really want he might get one of the others. There are only 2 full weeks that we could go before school starts. The other week would have to be a split ressie because the first few days would be before the promo starts.

I will hope that one of those weeks is left over for bids. If not, maybe DH can convince somebody to trade out a week. If not, we'll have to book for a time without free dining and hopefully get an AP rate on the room. (But maybe I will take DS for a quick trip with free dining even if DH can't go.)
Best of luck getting the week you want!

I know I am not around a lot but I was wondering if you could do me a little favor. A young single gal from my unit has deployed to the Middle East for 3 months.. If you have any extra stamps could you send her a note, card or have your kids draw a picture for her. This is her first deployment and I know she could use the warm wishes.

Her mailing address is.

Thank you all very much.

Will do!

Hi all!

I've been trying to get things done on my to do list but I seem to add more items to the list faster than I can get any done.

Amy-love your Christmas card photo!!!!

Beth-love the new signature!

Tammi-that MP3 looks cool. I've got to read the instructions for Joe & Lizzy's. By the way I was on drugs or something when I said the PJ's I got at Walmart for Lizzy & Emma would be OK for a boy. They are red with multicolor lights-including pink and pink snowflakes. I doubt Nicholas would like those.

I may have found something for Lizzy to wear on Christmas-already have Joe & Emma. I bought her a nice sweater at Kohl's on Black Friday and bought her a pair of velveteen pants at Gap this week. I got her a 7 regular and another pair of pants in 7 regular. I need to get her a 7 slim in the velveteen pants but the other pants wouldn't fit in slim. :confused3 I may keep looking because I wasn't happy about the price but at least they aren't too sleezy, ratty, or ugly looking-I'm not very trendy.

I've got to go to bed. Hope to get up early and tackle more of my to do list.

I don't want to say too much, as I don't want to jinx things, but Alan is seriously looking at FW cabins. We've been planning things for the half, and he loves the look of the cabins. If he has as much fun as I think he's going to have in January, he's toying with the idea of a family vacation in 2008. He would like to stay at the cabins if it happens. That would be best for us, as it would combine his love of "camping" with my love of Disney! Keep your fingers crossed.

I have my fingers crossed too. Maybe a late June 2008 vacation. I will be at Fort Wilderness then, in our camper. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hey Theresa, I don't know if I remembered to tell you this, but my trip to Colorado that was supposed to be this week got postponed, but now that I hear about your weather, I am glad I'm not out there.

As it turns out they rescheduled for the week of Jan 8th, which is when I will still be at WDW after the 1/2 marathon, so my coworker will be going instead of me. Since I was going to have to share a vehicle with 6 people and sit through boring meetings, and not be able to visit you, I don't feel too bad about missing the trip anyway.

I don't feel bad for you missing it either!! :teeth:

ETA: this was supposed to quote Theresa about me being busy. Darn blackberry.

I can't wait to hear all about the stuffies wedding!! Espescially how the couples react to their wedding bands!! :teeth:

Is there anyway to tell what Katrina's wrist size is??? After I finish these 12 ornaments I am making for Saturday's tea I want to make her a bracelet since she liked the wedding bands so well.

  Hey Becky!!

I have a phone appointment in 15 minutes so I thought I would get on and chat for a bit!!

We have the Christmas tree up and the lights on...I asked Jim to combine the purple and white ones we have...I think it's pretty. This is also what happened two years ago.....so much going on no time to properly decorate in one sitting. :sad2: So I can feel the inner Scrooge emerging.

I am freaking out...we are supposed to get a foot of snow tomorrow night...and we are to fly out Fri. am!
I cannot believe the awful weather many of you are having! It was gorgeous here again today. No jacket required, sunny and breezy. Just lovely!

I hope the weather issues won't affect anyone's travel plans.

I'm back from Cub Scouts. Tonight was the night that I took 15 scouts to a local pool to cover the water requirements for various badges/awards. It went pretty well and several of the Dad's helped with crowd control. I got some exercise in too. I also got some more Christmas shopping done today and got most of my window wreaths up as well as the lights on Chris's shop. I still have more to do outside, but I feel like I'm making headway. My SIL got tickets for her and her kids to ride the Polar Express. It will be somewhere around here next Friday and it is supposed to be like the train in the movie. They are very excited. I really don't know much about it so I'm not too excited for them. I guess I should google it and find out what we're missing. The tickets were very hard to get.

I am also worried about flying out Friday morning from Green Bay at 6:30am with the snow predictions.

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!! I am back from Vegas!!! I was surprised at how much there was to do there. We got to see Phantom of the Opera (wonderful), the Titanic exhibit (very moving), & took a gondola ride at the Venetian. The weather was chilly, about 50's but very sunny!!!

Hope you are all doing well & someone can bring me up to speed with what has been happening while I was gone.

Welcome back!!

can ya tell I am excited?

Have a fabulous trip!!

I can't believe how some of you are having such bad weather. We've only had flurries twice. Chris and I were discussing selling our snowmobiles as we didn't ride them at all last year and there is no snow in the near future. I'm not sure how we would sell them as people tend to buy them once it snows :rotfl:

I'm doing well except for the lovely cramps due to TOM. I have the next two days off from work. I thought I was going to relax :joker: I gotta call the Dr. to reschedule my check up appt, call Girl Scout Council, go to the post office, go to AC Moore (I'm starting to think I live there), make name cards and scrolls for my Mother for the Candlelight brunch she is hosting one of the tables.

I also have to go to 2 different earned Income tax offices to get my occupational privilege tax money back for last year. You have 2 years to get it back. You only have to pay $52 but if you work at more than one place sadly they often will take it out. You can get it back but you have to go to the EIT office after the employers have paid it. Well I tried back in May and they weren't all paid yet so they wouldn't give my money back. I paid over $100 last year and the same this year because I worked at more than one different place and they each took it out. I have to go to two different offices because they were in different cities. It is such a pain in the butt and waste of time.

I have to do my class evaluations, not for my grades but because they let the professors know the students opinions. Although I am glad my assignments are done.

My two free days aren't looking very free anymore.
