How long does it take you to get Leighanna's hair that curly? And how long do the curls last? Alyssa's hair is so fine, that when I hot roller it, it falls out rather fast.

Marci - Lots of love for you and your family

Jen - glad you got a teaching assignment that is so great.

Hi to Kelli and Christie!

Janet and Terry - thanks for the neat pictures.

Elizabeth - I enjoyed your TR. Thanks for telling us about your quick trip.

Tom - Your new siggy is wonderful, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Tia - I bet I missed you!! :( I hope your trip is wonderful.

Well, I am almost ready! Shirts are made, laundry is done and most everything is together. I just have to actually pack the suitcases in the morning. :rolleyes1 I really need to be in bed since I have to take Phil to work in 3 hours, but I am too excited to sleep. The reality of leaving is finally hitting me and I just can't wait. :dance3:

Lindsay, we don't leave until the 17th so we do overlap. Our plans as of now are:
14th - AK, Boma and DTD or mini golf
15th - MK, MGM, Fantasmic
16th - Epcot, MK, Spectro, Wishes
17th - Unknown

If we overlap in our plans at all, give me a call when we may be in the same park. My cell phone number is on the DDA contact list.

Other things I noticed in my quick catch up:
Jen - Congrats on the close location. I hope that you are feeling better soon.
Tom - LOVE the Christmas card
Ellen - :grouphug: to DDIL as she has to leave her sweet baby and lots of :wizard: that the time apart will be short
Deb - That robe is beautiful. I think that MIL will love it.
Bernadette - I'll see you next weekend!

To everyone else - Have a wonderful week and I'll catch up with you after the 17th!
Have a wonderful trip Tia!!!!!

I have a Sony DSC-H1, the newest version of it is the DSC-H5. Mine has a 12x optical zoom, 5.1mp I've printed 16 x 20 inch prints without a problem and image stabilization. I really like it alot but still covet a Nikkon or Canon DSLR.

I also covet a Nikkon or Canon DSLR. I know that won't be happening at least until the first two are out of college.

I was looking at the Canon S3 IS which I believe also has a 12x zoom. But my current camera is good enough for the time being. I'm sure that I can't convince dh (or myself) to put money into another camera right now.

I will add the Sony DSC-H1 to my list of cameras to look at. Since my first "real" (SLR) camera was a Canon way back in 1981, I feel a certain loyalty to the Canon products.

Somewhere (probably with the missing Christmas tree) is another box of Disney ornaments and two more Merryweathers, too. You did GREAT with the Sorceror Mickey you sent, Tammi. I would never have gotten him for myself. :goodvibes

We got there just as the opening show was starting. We got through the turnstiles with little wait and headed to Buzz. We rode Buzz, the People Mover (that was DS's idea, and it wasted 10 minutes but it made him happy), Tea Cups, Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates all by 10:30. Then it was back to the bus to Pop to grab our carry ons and get on Magical Express back to MCO. I am pleased to report that even though I had a bottle of baby oil that was 4 oz. instead of 3 oz. it was not confiscated. I forgot my eye make-up remover, and a $3 bottle of baby oil was the best I could do at Pop. At least I got to keep it! :rotfl:

...snip...

The People Mover a WASTE of 10 minutes?! I don't think so! We love that ride! We must have ridden at least 20 times during our last trip.

Since I wasn't able to buy the new Disney crocs, look what I did with the ones I have already!

I also got candy canes and snowflakes. They are called Jibbitz if you have never heard of them before and can be found online as well as in many brick and mortar stores that sell crocs.

We all love the People Mover too! It is one of the things that the four of us have to ride every single time we go to WDW. It was so sad when they took it out at DL and put in the Rocket Rods. THAT was a horrible waste of time and money on Disney's part.

Good morning, Beth!

The Christmas concert went well. I thought they all played great! I was disappointed though, I could not see Garrett very well. He was in the 2cd row & not very visable. We took our camera & video camera, but were not able to video tape beings we could not see him :guilty: Here are a couple of pictures:

This one I took at home:

As you can tell, I have not put up my new curtains yet

Garrett took this one of dh & I:

We had our first Christmas concert last night, too! It was Matthew's orchestra concert. I feel like a horrible mother now, because I didn't take a single photo.

Laura's band and orchestra concert is on the 18th.

Well, we had a busy day today! Took Leighanna to see the Santa at the mall, thankfully she didn't ask for Butterscotch again! The camera was down at the Santa booth this time time, and wouldn't you know that I left mine at home!
We had our family pictures done today. Whew! after about 60 or so pictures we only got to choose from about 10 (thankfully Thursday afternoons aren't that busy). Someone's eyes were always closed or looking the wrong way, but a few did turn out good.
We came home and I took our own photos for our Christmas card (see my new siggy). I thought since we were all ready dressed I might as well do it. Hopefully I can get them printed and mailed out before Christmas! :goodvibes I sure had alot of outtakes from this experience too!

Unfortunately our Christmas tree buying adventure didn't pan out because we received a couple of inches of snow today, and I didn't want to bring a wet tree home, so I set up one of our "artificial" ones. It looks nice and I don't have to remember to water it every day!

Tomorrow is our Anniversary and my Company Christmas Party, so we have a sitter for the night. Hopefully we will be able to finish our shopping too!

Hope everyone has a great day! :goodvibes

Gorgeous photos, Tom! I need to work on my Christmas cards today!

I'm sure Becky already answered that she has a Sony H2. I just wanted to add that Sony is offering a $50 instant rebate right now so its only about $299. That's a lot of camera for under $300!

Enabler! :rotfl: I still don't think that dh will go for it!

Good morning, Elin! I'm glad to hear that my family isn't alone in the love of the People Mover. It's also great when you just need to think/talk/plan a bit. Why sit on a bench when you can sit on the People Mover? The only problem is that the 5 of us don't fit comfortably in one car any more. What's with these kids growing?!

Beth

It is COLD here today! I'm not ready for these temps yet. It should be a balmy 36-40 by Sunday, though.

Keep warm, DDA!

I'm sure I'll be back later.

Beth
