The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 18

I told Elin this after the show but now I will share it with you all because I thought it was so funny.

Alyssa was really enjoying watching all the dancers, except for the boys/young men. After awhile she tells me that the boys dance like girls and that they look silly. Then she tells me that she wishes that the boys would wear regular pants, because she doesn't like seeing their (insert proper male anatomical term here).

Oh, my! I can totally hear Sister making a comment like that.

Brother loves to discuss anatomy. At high volume. In public. Luckily his words aren't always clear enough for bystanders to know what he is saying, and I can usually distract him into talking about something else.

Vicki - Perhaps you need to watch the Barishnikov version of the Nutcracker. Distracting, maybe, but not in a bad way!

Enabler Alert! I stopped by Dollar Tree tonight. They had some new things that I hadn't seen before. Tinkerbell journal, pencils, erasers and post-it notes. In the scrapbooking area, they had Tinkerbell and Winnie the Pooh stickers (these are the ones that say Good Job, etc.). They also had sheets of regular Cars stickers and I also saw Cars erasers. They had the cutest tiny little lunchboxes with Princess pictures on the front with candy inside. They also had light up pens with Pooh, Tigger, Mickey, Nemo, and a couple more. There was more but I can't remember them off the top of my head. I went in specifically looking for Disney stuff.

I really, really have trouble watching ballet with any males in it! That's one of the main reasons I'm not really a fan. I'm afraid someone will think I'm like those men that stare at women's chests! Normally, I don't look anywhere near a guys crotch.

I love ballet. But watching the Nutcracker with Mikhail Barishnikov and Gelsey Kirkland on PBS every year has spoiled me. I don't like any other arrangement or choreography for it - just that one. But I love the Nutcracker. I have the soundtrack by the London Symphony Orchestra. Of course I think DS has taken off with it, but it is around somewhere.

Well, that's a bummer! My Target had all the Disney stuff. I bought some for DS. I also love Dollar Tree! I don't need any more stuff, but that usually doesn't stop me.

I guess it is a good thing I had a nap today! I am still at work.

Poor Brother is all snuffly and snorty. I gave him some nighttime cough & cold before bed but it obviously isn't doing a very good job!
