I said hello on a separate thread but was encouraged to come by here and introduce myself as well. I have been lurking here for a month or two so it is well past time.

My name is Suzanne and I have two beautiful kids. Michelle, 6, is the reason we are going to WDW in October. She was diagnosed June 1, 2005 with Aplastic Anemia, her body wasn't making blood cells. After trying some drugs which didn't work, she had to have a bone marrow transplant, November 11, 2005. We live in California but decided to have the transplant in Wisconsin. Michelle had some complications that kept us there longer than we hoped. We ended up staying there for 9 months. DH was there off and on and my mom brought DS out. My son Ian, (will be 4 Sep 11) had a hard time this past year with mommy and sister being gone so much. He came to visit but it wasn't the same as having us home.

Make A Wish granted Michelle's wish to go to Walt Disney World! We will be there October 7-15 and are staying at the Poly! The kids are thrilled and can't wait to go down the volcano slide. I have some special events planned for them, tea with Sleeping Beauty for Michelle and I and a pirate cruise for Ian. We are looking forward to spending some quality time together as a family.

Anyways, I came here to get some cool creative ideas. The trip is getting close enough I need to start working on things before time gets away from me. I am looking forward to meeting some new friends and getting some new ideas.

Proabally something similar to what Denice is making with the words GET WEKK SOON JUNE on it I will have to think about it. Denice will you post the Picture here when you get back to give us some ideas but so the signs don't all look the same.
Might let Olivia draw a picture on it. not sure what kind of design I will put on it.

I love all the new pink college football apparel for women. BTW, my dad got his Masters Degree from Michigan State!

Dawn, I'll be thinking of you...if I can do anything let me know. Jonathan had reflux issues. I used rice cereal to thicken the formula...I felt like a mad scientist trying to come up with the right consistency.

June...in my whole family's thoughts and prayers! If we can do anything for you, please ask.

Jonathan comes home tonight...guess I have to go buy some food...just don't see him buying into the whole soy thing.

For the dieters on the board...I am having very good luck with Revival Soy Bars. I use them as my breakfast....I couldn't find them in any stores around here, so I ordered the from drugstore.com. I have made the 28 pound mark this week...so I am very excited!!

LOL i'm the opposite I don't like the pink. I just wish they would make it more feminine in the school colors. Or even the team color. was going to buy Olivia a cheerleader dresss for the Houston astros but it was in pink and not the team colors. I couldn't buy it it just looked funny to me.

I know you'll be glad to see Jonathan. I've been snacking on roasted soy nuts. They seem to be really helping my weight loss too (4 pounds this week!). where are these soy bars in the grocery store and are they nasty tasting?

Cool, actually my XH (I cannot bring myself to say DXH), and my mom and dad all got their bachelor's degrees from Michigan State. My parents met there and got married in the chapel there.

My sister and brother and I all went to Georgia Tech.

So my 2 boys each picked a family school.

I was a young mother for Jonathan...

Now however, I am WAAY older than any of these 2nd grade moms. I swear sometimes I think I could be the mother to some of the moms, they look so young!

Actually I am 40 but I have two older step children. Melissa is 26 and Sam is 29......I raised them as my own since they were Kindergarten and 2nd grade. I thought I was the coolest 21yr old mom around. Now with Austin (12) and Alex (8) now I think I am the oldest looking mother around. Funny how things go full circle. I am actually a Meme of 3 grandchildren also. Boy am I feeling really old right about now.
